Centrally Located for Activities - Tisbury Great Pond/Trails/Kayak & Tennis

We hope you will enjoy our vacation home as much as we do! After 14 years as guests of others on Martha"s Vineyard, we found a home to call our own in the spring of 2023. We shortly thereafter refurnished and redesigned our place and when we are off-island we enjoy offering our home for weekly rentals. We have received very positive feedback from our guests! Our home is sunny, tranquil, picturesque and can sleep up to 8 guests.

The front of our home offers privacy with a wooded setback and a circular gravel driveway with parking and a garage. In the front of our home we have a nice gazebo-style wrap-around porch with a couple of rockers to enjoy morning coffee, evening cocktails, or if you must -- to take a conference call. The rear of the house is one of our favorite places with a long deck to enjoy sitting in the morning, dining and entertaining as the day goes on. There is plenty of comfortable seating, a dining table with a shade umbrella, and a propane grill, along with an outdoor shower. Enjoy the sounds and sights as you observe off the deck, the natural, peaceful wooded setting.

Inside you will find comfort and convenience throughout the house. The heart of the home greets you in the form of an open living space with post and beam construction, living, dining and kitchen space. Soaring ceilings, naturally washed wood, updated furniture and decor, plentiful light from north and south facing windows, and glass doors to the large back deck creating an atmosphere encouraging you to relax, unwind, and enjoy the benefits of the indoor/outdoor living concept. When you are not out and about enjoying the many fabulous casual and formal dining options on Martha"s Vineyard, the kitchen offers top-quality appliances and is appointed with granite counters.

The first floor primary bedroom is another haven of peace. The bedroom suite includes a king bed, spacious private bathroom, and walk-in closet that leads to a separate private entrance to the gazebo porch. The other side of the bedroom exits to a private patio with a bird bath and hot tub. For additional ease of living, our home offers two laundry areas - a full washer and dryer are located in the partially finished basement while a stacked unit is conveniently located on the main level.

Heading upstairs, we have two additional bedrooms and a charming loft. Bedroom one includes a queen bed. Bedroom two includes two twins. Finally, the cheery loft offers a trundle bed with two twins and doubles during the day as a comfortable spot to relax and read a book, or allow the kids to enjoy the many board games and puzzles, or take advantage of the Xbox video game console and monitor.

Our place is centrally located in West Tisbury, offering a great mix of privacy and convenience. Our guests will enjoy nature, walking trails, and Great Tisbury Pond kayak access to South Shore beaches, while at the same time offering convenience to the amenities, restaurants and sites of Chilmark, Vineyard Haven, Edgartown and Oak Bluffs. Our home is a part of the Deep Bottom Pond Association, enabling our guests to enjoy beautiful walking trails surrounding 32 acres of bucolic pasture or to venture south on foot toward the Great Tisbury Pond through wooded trails. You can enjoy nearby Lamberts Cove Beach (which may only be accessed by town residents which you will be as our guest), Long Point Beach, South Beach, or many other fabulous beach options on the island. You also will have access to Tisbury Great Pond via a 2,600 ft. walk through the woods, which will take you to the kayak rack where three kayaks (two double and one single) are provided for your use. Another 300 steps will take you to the Deep Bottom Pond Association dock where you can enjoy a leisurely kayak trip or a more vigorous, but always worth it to us, paddle to the South Shore Beaches (Quansoo and Long Point). A kayak dolly, paddles, and adult and child size life jackets are also provided. We also provide beach chairs and towels available for your convenience. Additionally, our guests have access to well-maintained community tennis courts.
