Location was great and fit the needs of our guys trip. The rental property needs to be cleaned, painted, and restocked. There were three coffee cups and 1 spoon. Ultimately, it served our purposes well.

The photos were not real, they make the place look way nicer. The ceiling in the bathroom was completely torn up, there was a hole in the ceiling in the kitchen/hallway actively dripping water onto the floor and plaster was everywhere. When we got there, the front door to the building didn’t close, so there is a big safety concern. When we got into the apartment, at 830pm, the place was dirty, beds were tossed and wet/dirty towels were everywhere. We tried calling the host, it went to voicemail. Called VRBO, they tried reaching the host, it went to voicemail. Keeping in mind, we travelled with our two year old who was ready for bed. VRBO told us to book a hotel for the night and they would send a cleaner. We tried contacting the host again to see what time we could return to the unit, since we had to be out of the hotel at 11am, no response. My husband and I both work remotely and had no place to work, and our son had no where to rest. We finally received a response at 530pm that it had been resolved.

The location of this property was fantastic! We also loved the layout and the use of space, it was perfect for us and our travelers. We had a couple of concerns upon our arrival but the property manager was attentive and very responsive. We would happily have rated this property higher if it was kept up better.The property is run down and was not very clean. Everything needs to be cleaned and painted and the floor was 'replaced' at some point but needs repair as well. The kitchen was ill equiped with worn out pots and pans so we could not cook meals there.

Listed as a in “Soulard” neighborhood. Once there with my girlfriend and her daughter for her daughter’s birthday we hear a gunshot. We had difficulty finding the place due to poorly labeled housing number. Trouble opening door a once we did we found stairs that were in poor shape. Entered the home and broken chandelier glass, a floorboard raised we nearly tripped over into the table. No working fire alarm and an electrical fire hazard as one of the light bulbs had browned out and burnt black at bottom of glass light casing. I contacted the host and told them all of this and emailed pics and explained we were not staying as we had been there a total of 10 mins. We locked up and left. I’ve asked for over a week for an update on my refund and have not heard a reply via text or email.

First, the good. Check-in went nicely, and the kitchen had basic cookware. There was street parking, and we weren't bothered by outside noise. However, it was disappointing that the place didn't look like the photos, which had apparently been staged. It was more drab, no pictures on the walls, etc. The entrance stairway was dark and dirty, so not a good first impression. The cleaning person arrived after we did, and cleaned up from the previous guests until 30 minutes into our reservation. The wifi wasn't working, and when we contacted the owner they replied they were looking into it, but we never heard anything else and it never started working. There were various other odd issues: Shampoo and soap dispensers in the showers were empty. The kitchen had no spoons. There was coffee, but a 4-cup coffer maker for a place that sleeps 8. There were a washer and dryer, but the dryer exhaust vent wasn't connected to the wall. Also, the power went out due to high wind. It did come back on within a couple hours, but while the owner knew about it, they didn't check on us until telling us the power was back the next morning. Overall, it isn't recommended unless you're ok with something very basic or need this particular area.
