We’re sorry this guest had a disappointing experience. The guests checked in early and initially expressed that they were happy with the property. After their first night, however, they reported seeing roaches in the home. We take issues like this extremely seriously, and the property was immediately serviced and inspected. Additional cleaning and preventative treatments were also completed afterward. The guests chose to depart early, and we did offer to work with them on a refund. In order to reopen the calendar for other travelers, we requested that the reservation be formally canceled through the platform. Unfortunately, that did not occur during the stay, and the reservation dates remained blocked. We also want to clarify that we did not find evidence of mold at the property. However, based on the feedback received, we completed additional deep cleaning and servicing of the AC vents and surrounding areas. We strive to provide a clean and comfortable experience for all guests and appreciate feedback that helps us improve.

If anything is ever not up to standard on arrival, we always encourage guests to reach out right away so we can address it immediately — we would have gladly sent our cleaning team back the same day. We also have routine pest control in place, but being in Florida, occasional bugs can happen. Again, had we been notified, we would have sent pest control out promptly. Regarding the pool and hot tub heating, this is a standard optional fee in many Florida listings and is clearly outlined in the listing prior to booking. For maintenance, the listing also notes that the pool service and landscaping teams come on scheduled days. They are instructed to service the exterior areas only, but I understand how unexpected visits can feel — we will reinforce proper notification procedures with them. We were not made aware of any plumbing or hot water issues during the stay. If we had been contacted, we would have addressed those concerns immediately. We always want our guests to feel comfortable and taken care of, and we’re disappointed we didn’t have the opportunity to resolve these concerns in real time.
