We absolutely loved the creek and the hot tub view of the creek. Super quiet and peaceful. Our favorite part was sitting on the deck and just listening to the creek. We know the woods has bugs but if the outside chairs would've been hosed down, we think there would’ve been way less spider webs and dirt on them! A main issue we ran into was the black Stone was super dirty and we had planned to cook on it. We ended up just cooking on the stove. The house itself is beautiful. The host is amazing and great at communicating!! We loved our stay and we definitely recommend it!! Overall excellent stay!!

We appreciate your feedback about the outdoor chairs and the Blackstone. Because the chairs sit outside under the trees, they’re definitely more exposed to the elements, but you’re absolutely right — a fresh hose-down before arrival would have made a big difference. We’ve already updated our cleaning routine to make sure the outdoor seating is checked and cleaned more thoroughly. As for the Blackstone, thank you for pointing that out. It’s getting older, and we agree it’s time to refresh or replace it so guests can enjoy cooking outside without any inconvenience. We’re addressing that right away. We’re so glad you found the home beautiful and enjoyed your stay overall. Your kind words about communication mean a lot. I searched long and hard for a mountain cabin with very few steps to get in the home, the primary bedroom on the main floor and that had access to water to fish and float. The home was perfect and met all those requirements. The kitchen was so well stocked that we had everything we needed to cook nine meals in three days. We even baked cookies! As far as the water access goes- the guys wanted to fish and they were able to do that from the water or standing on rocks. If they had hip waders, they could have fished from the water if it had been cold outside. They didn’t catch any fish, but enjoyed their time anyway. The girls wanted to float, and we were able to do that too. Be aware that the water is cold, but on a hot day, that was fine with us. The bottom of the creek is mostly rocky but there were some places with silt that we sank down a little. Shoes in the creek are a must! The sound of the rushing water was amazing and I was surprised how loud it was. The back yard to walk down to the water is pretty steep but even my husband who has had both knees replaced in the last two years was able to make the trek up and down two different times. We loved the deck off the back of the house with the Blackstone, grill and rocking chairs. The driveway is a little scary but once we figured out that is was best to back down the driveway, it was much better. Since it was summer when we stayed, we didn’t have to worry about the weather. We loved it and will definitely come back!

We fell in love with North Carolina years ago — the hiking, the quiet mountain roads, the changing seasons, and the way the world seems to slow down here. Some of our favorite moments have been soaking in a hot tub with a cup of coffee or a glass of wine, watching the snow fall or listening to the creek rush by. Over time, we realized we wanted a place where our family could truly decompress, reconnect, and breathe a little deeper.
Finding this home felt like a blessing. Its serene creekside setting, peaceful hillside views, and cozy spaces gave us exactly what we had been searching for. It quickly became our haven — a place to unwind, recharge, and enjoy the simple beauty of the mountains.
It didn’t feel right to keep it all to ourselves, so we decided to share it with others who are also seeking tranquility, comfort, and a slower pace. We hope this retreat brings you the same sense of peace and renewal it brings to us.

Bedroom 2 features its own electric fireplace and French doors that open directly to the hot tub, creating a truly indulgent experience. The lower level adds even more charm with a large eclectic fireplace, a cozy sitting area, and a game space with ping‑pong, foosball, darts, and a workstation.
