Magical place

My friends and I just returned from a lovely ladies weekend at Nordhaven, and we are all still talking about how beautiful and cozy the place was. When you walk into the gated yard from the driveway, it genuinely feels like you're in an unexpected oasis - twinkling lights, beautiful foliage, hot tub, outdoor fireplace, the works! The house itself has an atmosphere that is so peaceful, and it's clear that the Presleys (owners) have created a home that they love to share with others who understand the magic of the island. Orcas Island is always a beautiful getaway, but staying at Nordhaven really elevated my experience there, and I will definitely be staying there again in the future!

This home is special! It is a little unassuming as you drive up but open the front door and you walk into a beautiful home with all high-end finishes. Beautiful Bosch appliances and a fully stocked kitchen. The beds are all very comfortable and the linens are great quality. Looks like an interior decorator did an awesome job with all the little extra things that are in every room. I loved all the shampoo, conditioner, body wash and little extras that this home provides. The soft water is a plus as well as the fireplace in the living room. Oh, I can’t forget the great hot tub in a secluded area of the large back yard. There is also a corn hole game and sand chairs in the garage you can use. This home is truly a beautiful place and communication with the host was always quick and very helpful! Thank you so much!

Great location. Everything you could ask for to host a dinner. Whiskey could have stayed longer.

Nordhaven was more than we could hope for for a relaxing, comfortable and fun stay. Our family of four had room the spread and lounge, cook yummy meals together, watch family movies, take walks to the sweet little beach and see sea lions, porpoises and a bald eagle, and even a longish walk into town. It was the perfect jumping off point for all the adventures that Orcas Island has to offer. The hot tub heater stopped working but the manager sent someone out within 10 minutes of my text and all was well again! Thank you for the beautifully cozy beds and property! We hope to return someday!

My husband and I planned a special trip to Orcas to celebrate our 47th anniversary but unfortunately the home we originally booked flooded and at the last minute we had to find an alternative. From the very first contact, Kristin was warm, friendly and accommodating. We were greeted with flowers, chocolate and a gift card to the local bakery. The home was warm and welcoming. Kristin has thought of everything from first aid kits, to flashlights, night lights, bedside phone chargers, noise machines, games, cards, books, even a blue tooth speaker. The media room is perfect for gaming or watching tv. The kitchen is well stocked with everything you will need. The living room is warm and cozy with the gas fireplace and big, cozy recliners. The heated floors in the bathrooms were a special treat. We used the jacuzzi every night. Kristin is the best host. She was very responsive. Kristin encouraged feedback on anything that would make our stay more comfortable. Perfect place for two couples or a family. Can’t wait to return to this home away from home.
