The well-equipped kitchen is perfect for preparing meals without having to leave your beachfront paradise. Go for a swim and enjoy sunbathing by the shared, heated pool, and keep up with your workout routine in the on-site fitness center. There’s a little something for everyone at Sterling Sands!



This vacation rental is within walking distance of several restaurants ranging from family-friendly breakfasts at the Pancakery and excellent Italian fare from Mimmo's Ristorante Italiano. Explore the 208-acres of Henderson Beach State Park where you can hike the nature trail, photograph native wildlife, fish, or relax on the beach. And for those looking to hit the links, the Indian Bayou Golf & Country Club is just a little over a mile north of this rental.

  • This home may not be suitable for snowbirds.
    • Also note that beach towels are not provided.
  • This unit has a max occupancy, including children. These are rules set by the State of Florida and the State of Florida Fire Codes. The Fire Codes go by square footage and not the beds in a unit. If you arrive with more than the max occupancy listed, the HOA will not allow you to check-in and you will not be entitled to a refund.
    • There is a $15 per person amenity fee that must be paid via a registration link that will be supplied upon booking. This fee grants access to the pool and private beach.

Needs to be updated. The view was stunning, I was NOT happy about the late check in and the early checkout. I was locked out of the property at 930 AM and had to sit and call Vacasa to get a new code to reenter the unit. I was happy that we were able to access the property amenities early and late. The furniture and beds were comfortable but definitely needs painting and updates. I would come back.

Great location!

Myself and my two teenage daughters enjoyed our recent trip to Destin. The condo was very clean and well appointed. The location couldn’t be better for both enjoying the beautiful beaches or shopping and dining around town. We will definitely consider it again for future stays.

Vacation

I brought my son for a birthday vacation. He wanted a couple days to sit on the beach. It was nice to be able to walk out the front door to enjoy the beach and walk to restaurants.

Great Stay

Had a short get away trip and would stay at this property again. Easy in and out of the condo and I like the large parking lot being on the premises and not across the street. The condo itself needs minimal upkeep but in no way was an issue. The pool and workout room was nice but the view was the best!

Everything was great except too many rules for me…I.e. must always wear wristbands, no smoking anywhere except far away near a very busy street, security (the female one) is just rude, and etc.

Great views but noisy

A great patio set for beach/ocean views from the terrace. Interior style is a little dated but furnishings were in excellent condition and overall it was very clean with no odors. However, with the bedrooms being located on the street side there was a lot of traffic noise at night which we had to tolerate. It is conveniently located to many restaurants. We enjoyed our stay.

Great condo!

Clean and very nice condo. The only downside is that you have to rent beach chairs at the beach. The rules of the HOA did not allow personal umbrellas.

Beautiful Clean Condo

The condo was amazing and very clean. I will definitely stay here again. I had a little problem getting in and at first the person at the desk was not very helpful. However after she called her manager they were able to figure it out and get me a code that worked. Overall I loved the condo.

Serenity and the Sea

What a beautiful view we had from the condo every day. It was always sad when the sun would set and take away the gorgeous view. No major complaints re the property. Only things I would recommend would be to update the master bathroom and add more cookware, etc to the kitchen. Other than that, all was perfect. We loved the beach! Renting umbrellas/chairs on property was added bonus plus the snow cones for sale. Was a great vacation!!!

Our Stay At Sterling

We love the room and the view. Our bed obviously had not been cleaned or the sheets changed. We discovered food crumbs and stains from the food in our bed. Reported our finding to the front desk. Other than that we enjoyed ourselves, however for the money paid we expect quality level of cleanliness for what we pay for.

Great location and nice to have pool/beach access. Master bath shower drain needs to be cleaned. Standing in water while showering is nasty. Also broken window blinds in master bedroom which allows anyone outside to see in which is unacceptable. Somewhat disappointed on how outdated unit was. Definitely could use some work.

Not very kid friendly

There was no plastic dining ware for children to use. I had a 1 and 3 year old with me. No single pool or beach amenity in the room to share/use. Outlet covers falling off walls, light switches that do nothing, ceiling fans that don’t work. Had to pay $50/day for beach umbrella/2 chairs. $10/person for a pool wristband and parking pass. So factor that into the cost.

False Advertising

This property is advertised as having two adult sized beds, a king and queen. Upon arriving, we found single bunk beds in one room instead of the queen. Nowhere in the photos or description does it mention having single sized bunk beds. This was extremely frustrating as we had two married couples in the condo. My husband and I could not even sleep in the same bed together on this vacation. Complete false advertising. Would NOT recommend.

Beautiful view, but…

Overall, it was a good property for the money. There were issues with the first unit, as they never sent the door code before arrival, and once they did, it didn’t work-frustrating after a long ride. After being let in by security, we took a walk on the beach, we couldn’t get in, as the door code was still not working, and there was a locksmith there for sometime. Overall, we didn’t have access for 3-4 hours. We did get compensated by being given an extra night in another unit. The location was great, and the second unit was in better shape than the first.

would stay here again

this was a great location. didnt like that the garage was so dark from the pool to the elevators. Everythign is locked down with door codes which is great except for the garage area. One day we had someone strange man just walking around the garage and made you feel a little uncomfortable. Did not like that you to rent the chairs to site close the beach. I was told that I had to set up behind the chairs with my blanket. I do not like to have a chair and umbrella I use just my blanket. Makes it hard to watch the kids in the water if I have to be behind the chairs. Grounds were very well kept the tile floors in the unit can use a good cleaning. We really did enjoy our time and I would consider staying in this unit again. We like to come to Destin every oct.
