Our Accommodation: (See also "Bergische Oase" in the same building.<br>Beautifully situated, with a unique view of Germany’s tallest railway bridge and the Bergisches Land region. <br>Hiking, biking tours, mountain biking, canoeing on the Wupper River, shopping at the Hofgarten shopping center and in the neighboring cities of Cologne, Düsseldorf, Wuppertal, and Remscheid. <br>The house and apartments were renovated in 2014.<br>Brückenblick Vacation Rental<br>The kitchen offers everything you’d expect from a vacation rental (microwave, toaster, electric kettle, coffee maker, 4-burner stove, and oven). Also included: high chair, iron, clothes rack, ironing board, and cleaning supplies. If anything is missing, we’ll be happy to help, of course. <br>The bright bathroom with a window features a bathtub with a shower. A hair dryer is provided. <br>Fresh towels are also provided. <br>Use of the washing machine by arrangement. Three separate bedrooms are available, one of which is equipped with a large flat-screen TV and DVD player. Wi-Fi is free for guests.<br><br>Full occupancy (10 people) is only suitable for one to a maximum of two nights and is often used as accommodations for wedding guests, for example. Please feel free to inquire if you’d like to come with a large group.<br><br>Interaction with guests<br>As your “host parents,” we’re happy to help ensure you have a pleasant stay. <br>We bake fresh bread ourselves. If you’re here when we’re baking, you’ll receive a loaf of hot, crispy country bread. <br>Pickup from the Solingen-Schaberg train station by arrangement.<br><br>The Neighborhood<br>We recommend a hike to the Kotten, to Burg Castle, or to Brückenpark, as well as a visit to the historic old town center of Solingen Gräfrath and the nearby museums: Plagiarius, the Blade Museum, the Industrial Museum, and the Art Museum.<br><br>Transportation<br>The nearest bus stops (“Wieden” or “Dorperhof”) are a 3-minute walk away. The “Solingen Mitte” train station (Park & Ride) is a 10-minute drive or bus ride away. <br>Solingen, known as the “City of Blades,” offers numerous beautiful hiking trails and is also ideally located for visits to the cities of Düsseldorf and Cologne, as well as Wuppertal with its unique suspension railway and zoo.
