RedHouseNL, 21 Castella Lane, er en dejlig, hyggelig havet sommerhus oppe på klipperne af Pouch Cove Newfoundland, med udsigt over N Atlantic. Ovenpå det giver 2 soveværelser (dronning senge) med utrolig havudsigt, et lille mødet område for kaffe eller læse med udsigt og et komplet badeværelse med kar / brus. Nedenunder er et fuldt udstyret køkken, stue med brændeovn, en 'undersøgelse' med bøger og en fuld størrelse futon, som kan foldes ud til en 5. gæst, og et andet badeværelse fra studiet med en stall bruser. Stuen er lys, åben og rummelig, der tilbyder utrolig havudsigt. Off den side af stuen er en spisestue med store rustikke bord fantastisk til måltider, spil og tør jeg sige arbejde ?!
Huset har også en stor dæk ud på bagsiden, med 4 Adirondack stole til at nyde udsigten og måske fange et glimt af hvaler og delfiner cruising ved. En side dæk fra spisestuen er udstyret med to liggestole til mere af det samme!
Skridt fra East Coast Trail. Kort køretur til lokale strande. 25 minutters kørsel til downtown St Johns.

Lovely Place in Pouch Cove

This was a great place to stay on the Avalon Peninsula. The cottage was immaculate with a terrific ocean view. Beds were comfortable and everything worked. Close to St. John's, hiking trails and nature.

We enjoyed this perfect location for sitting on the edge of the rocks and watching and listening to the ocean .Lots of trails to hike and also being close to St Johns for a more busier day. The front deck was our favorite place, to relax and read and just sit.

Didn’t want to leave!

This stay exceeded my expectations! The home is clean, very comfortable and charming. The hosts have thought of everything. We felt at home right away. But the view and the location are so beautiful you can hardly leave the deck. We absolutely loved our time there and would return again in a heartbeat!

Red House Pouch Cove

My family was visiting and enjoyed the relaxing and peaceful atmosphere of the red house. Communication was excellent and the welcome gift was very much appreciated. No matter if the weather is good or bad, the experience is always ohenomenal!

Comfortable, peaceful house overlooking the sea

This was our second stay at the Red House and as delightful as the first. The house is light and calming and generously equipped with everything you could possibly need. Proximity to St John’s and the Irish loop is a plus but the highlight is coming ‘home’ to enjoy sitting on the deck - with a book, a coffee, a glass of wine, binoculars to take in the birds and the whales. Thanks again to Kelly for her warm welcome - we hope to be back again.

Top 10 most beautiful place on earth

The Red House is a gift to your soul. The peacefulness envelopes you upon arrival. The views off of the back deck and surrounding community are breathtaking. The house itself has everything you could possibly need. It’s so comfortable and inviting. The hostess Kelly was so thoughtful and kin. I can’t say enough.

Amazing views

Beautiful property, amazing views and great location. Cottage was perfectly stocked, very clean and beds were very comfortable. Chris and Kelly, the hosts were very friendly and helpful. Would highly recommend!

It was a spectacular view of the ocean. We managed to see many whales, and iceberg from far away. The property itself was very comfortable and very cozy. Kelly who welcomed us was amazing and easy to reach. Overall, we had a great vacation and looking forward to coming back.

Home away from home

The Red House was really a home away from home. We loved every minute there. The house had everything we could have wished for. We had a little hurricane for 2 days and were just watching the weather and the sea from a very comfortable living room. We can highly recommend a stay there and will come back for sure.

Attention to detail was amazing. Ample coffee, tea, sugar etc. Amazingly outfitted home lacking nothing. We were greeted by Kelly who was always available if we had a question… A brilliant place, clean and well laid out … Highly recommend it as a place to stay… Five Stars

Cozy house, great view, all the amenities

We enjoyed our stay at the red house. The views were fantastic (when the fog cleared), the house was cozy and well equipped, beds were super comfortable, the only thing we didn't have was lobster crackers! Pouch Cove is pretty much the last stop heading north on the Avalon Peninsula, so it's pretty quiet, exactly what we were looking for in a relaxing vacation. Thanks to Chris and Kelly for a great stay.

The Red House has such a Breathtaking view and so Peaceful. Perfect place for home base.

Completely happy with The Red House. Everything was so clean, all our needs were thought out, such as blankets available to use while relaxing on the deck. The ocean view is beautiful. And picking blueberries while hiking the East Coast Trail, everything was perfect. We will be back!!

Amazing!

The cottage had everything we needed. The views are incredible. We saw whales from the back deck every day. Some mornings they were so close we could hear them breathing as they surfaced. The area is very quiet and relaxing. We thoroughly enjoyed our stay and look forward to returning to Newfoundland.

Icebergs, whales, eagle…Oh My!

Thank you Chris and Kelly. The Red House was perfect!! We enjoyed our evenings by the fire and watching the whales and icebergs from the deck. We appreciated the well stocked kitchen so we could spend several evenings cooking dinner and relaxing after beautiful hikes that we walked to from the house. Grateful for all of your recommendations and hospitality!!

Red House Rocks

If you want an incredibly comfortable stay in some beautiful Newfoundland surroundings -- this is the place. Red House has everything you need for your stay and is located in a perfect spot. St. Johns and great places on the Avalon peninsula are all close by. But the best part is just sitting on the deck and looking out at the awesome view. Whales, seabirds, cliffs and awesome sunrises and sunsets. Just taking it all in from the deck. Fantastic place!

Heaven on earth!! Amazing property, beautiful home, peaceful location.

We absolutely loved our stay at the red house. The location was perfect for a peaceful getaway and close enough to St Johns for the Newfoundland experience. We mostly focused on hiking and the East Coast trail can’t be beat ! It was so nice to come back to the red house after a day of hiking. Waking up to an amazing sunrise with coffee to relaxing on the deck with a glass if wine.. heaven on earth. Chris and Kelley are amazing hosts and answered all of our questions and even had great suggestions for the area. We will definitely plan a return trip

Amazing views!!!!

Very comfortable house in a private location. Loved the porch with panoramic views. We saw whales every day. Icebergs went by. Well equipped house, well equipped kitchen, beds with luxury bedding made for excellent sleeping. Owner extremely quick and responsive to any issues. We loved our stay and only wish it had been longer.

Perfect Getaway

Had a stay in mid September--lots of amazing weather to experience: hot, cool, stormy, calm, hazy, crisp. Enjoyed the deck and sun and the cozy fireplace. So close to the East Coast Trail for great hikes. Had friends come for some meals and it was a great space to visit and enjoy. It feels remote yet safe. Really comfy beds--but older or little folks might want a step ladder to climb into them! Kelly and Chris were so welcoming and understanding about a hiccup with VRBO. It's a wonderful home in a perfect location. I would definitely come again!

Cozy house with incredible views!

Wow!! This house exceeded our expectations in every way. It had everything we needed for a week's stay, INCREDIBLE view, and overall charm. We enjoyed the nearby hikes, whale watching, and peaceful time at home. Sitting on the deck felt like sitting on the edge of the world. We thank the property owners for giving us such an easy and relaxing vacation! Did we mention the view?!

Cheers from Newfoundland! I fell in love with this province when I moved here for work years ago. It is truly a magical place! I take pride in my property and am responsive to any of my renters needs. The Red House is fully furnished and has all the amenities of home to make your stay comfortable, cozy and revitalizing!

This property is special and you will understand the minute you walk inside. The view of the ocean is mesmerizing! From the vastness of the water to the waves crashing on the cliffs, you will not be able to look away! The sunrises are spectacular along with the occasional whale sightings, many different birds and of course icebergs. Even at night, when it is totally dark, you can hear and feel the ocean. The fresh ocean air is wonderful!

The house is extremely cozy and comfortable inside. I like the winter season the best with the wood stove going and watching it snow outside. It's a great escape! During the summer, the back deck is the place to be. Four adirondack chairs facing the ocean keep you and your favourite beverage occupied for hours!
