Welcome to your home away from home! We want to welcome you to our cozy, luxurious slice of paradise. This beautiful cabin was handcrafted by local artisans, offering custom furniture and finishings built from beautiful, reclaimed hardwood. This newly constructed retreat pays homage to the history of the Appalachians while offering modern amenities like air conditioning, a full kitchen, and internet. Retreat to the covered porch overlooking a gorgeous fishing pond or relax on the balcony and look at the stars. You can fish from the deck. Enjoy the sounds of the bullfrogs and watch the fireflies from the balcony at night.
Our cabin is easily accessible from the highway and is less than a fifteen minute drive from the lovely downtown Marion and Lake James. You can shop, check out local restaurants and festivals, boutiques, Bigfoot book store, coffee shops, breweries, and the Meadery. When you’re done exploring downtown, come home to the cabin and nap in the king-size bed upstairs alongside a balcony on the second story. It is cozy, comfortable, relaxing, and the perfect getaway for couples or good friends. If you’re looking to unplug, unwind, relax, and take in the views and serene aroma and sounds of the foothills of North Carolina, our cabin is the perfect place for you! Lots of outdoor adventures are waiting to be explored nearby too. We do have modern conveniences which includes a full kitchen with stove, oven, refrigerator, freezer, k-cup coffee maker, toaster, linens, dishes and silverware, beer mugs in the freezer, ice, smart TV, Wi-Fi and a desk space if you happen to need to work during your stay. The bedroom is in the loft with stairs as shown. The cabin sleeps 2 comfortably, can sleep up to 3 upon request.

We owe Antique Reclaimed Lumber, located on our 20 acre farm. We wanted to share our beautiful spot with others so we built a cabin next to our pond from Antique wood. We enjoy saving this superior lumber by reclaiming it from old structures and milling new life into the wood as we create custom wood products. Our cabin is a display of the type of work we do. When we are not working we enjoy fishing, hiking, exploring the mountains, playing music and entertaining family and friends. In the evening we especially enjoy star gazing, listening to the sounds of nature and watching the fire flies, twinkle throughout the pasture.
If you are in need of any wood products we would be glad to meet with you during your stay to discuss. Just let us know and we will schedule an appointment with you.

We love the rural community, the rolling hills, streams, ponds, forests, big sky views, little to none light pollution, sounds of nature. At night you can hear the bullfrogs and crickets chirping. Our location is full of wonder and amazement. We have many unique birds for bird watching and discovery. We have a lot of privacy, from our house you cannot see any other houses. Our cabin too is very private and you cannot see other homes. We have a private location but we also have easy access with downtown being about a 10 minute drive. We have 2 stores within 0.5 miles from our place and there is also a diner called Heifer’s diner where you can get a country style breakfast just north of our location.

Our property is unique as it was handcrafted with Antique Reclaimed Lumber. Our covered deck extends to the edge of the pond which allows you to fish from the deck. It also maximizes the soothing nature of the experience and accentuates the sounds of nature. We have a metal roof, so if it happens to rain during your visit it takes the calming sounds of the rain to the next level. Our kitchen is fully equipped with supplies. We have a stove, oven, kcup coffee marker, microwave, a refrigerator with a freezer, with ice and frosty beer mugs. The balcony faces our hilly pasture and offers big sky views for star gazing, vibrant sunsets, and fireflies twinkle throughout the landscape. Outside lighting allows you to enjoy the evening as you relax and listen to the sounds of the nature that vary with every season. Bring your fishing pole and gear and/or your kayak to enjoy the soothing experience of gliding on calm water.
