Add some incredibly unique character to your annual Sunriver getaway at this yurt-like cabin, a tree-lined escape with a wrap-around deck, six passes to SHARC, and unbeatable all-seasons amenities that include pools, tennis courts, golf courses, and tubing!



What's nearby:

This single-level home on the eastern edge of Sunriver offers the airy atmosphere of a yurt, with walls that climb short of the ceiling (except in the bathroom). You'll find access to the bike path a few steps away (and two adult-size bikes to take out), the Village at Sunriver one mile south, and SHARC's indoor/outdoor pools and tubing hill half a mile south. You'll also enjoy easy access to tennis courts at Fort Rock Park (half a mile northwest); world-class ski slopes at Mt. Bachelor (22 miles northwest); and on-site golf at the Woodlands and Meadows Golf Courses (two miles north and south, respectively).

Cute clean and cozy pretty easy to find and Location was great to the Village. We were not able to use the SHARC passes, which was kind of a bummer, but weather wasn’t really on our side. We had a great time anyway. Thank you so much.

The yurt-style architecture is charming. The house is a time capsule - wood paneled walls, shag carpets and the original bathroom mirrors. The open ceiling works for friends and families that are happy to hear all the conversations on the house, and sleeping snortles. We found it fun for our family but it would have been tough with little kids who need quiet to sleep or another couple. Note there is no dishwasher. It is right next to the tracks but we’re heavy sleepers so the midnight train didn’t affect us much. The location is great and the house was comfortable, if not a little delicate. This is a great place if you need somewhere to crash after a busy day, but probably less ideal if you’re planning to spend a lot of time at the house.

This place is OK if you get a low enough price. Cute little cabin. Just be aware that there is no AC, so not great for hot and smoky days in Sunriver. It is RIGHT on the train tracks, so it is not good for little ones and is really loud in the middle of the night when the trains pass by. The deck is also dangerous. It has lots of splinters, nails coming out, and is breaking in some areas. The door to the hot tub is really hard to open, as well as the doors to the shower. The beds aren't great. The oven did not function when I was there. I told the management company. They sent out a maintenance guy who confirmed it was not working. They offered me a credit, but it has been almost two weeks since I was there and they have not done that even after reaching out multiple times. Other than that, it is a neat little cabin with SHARC passes. So, if you can get it cheap and go to the SHARC every day, it is a good deal. It stays cooler than expected with the ceiling fan and shades drawn.

Our stay in this yurt-style home in Sunriver was okay overall, but there were a few cleanliness and maintenance issues that affected our experience.The linoleum floors were dirty enough that we could feel the residue on our bare feet, and there were several sticky spots on the kitchen floor. We also found something unpleasant left under the edge of the bed that we had to pick up and throw away ourselves.The hot water was another issue. It ran out very quickly, so showers had to be limited to about 5–7 minutes to avoid running out of hot water. Additionally, the bathroom fan did not work.The home has a unique yurt-style setup and could be a nice place to stay, but the cleanliness and maintenance issues should be addressed to make the experience more comfortable for future guests. I addressed several of these issues with the management company but only received the same canned response each time. "We are sorry to hear that your experience hasn't met your expectations. We will use your comments to improve our property and guest experience". They did not actually address any of my concerns and for what I paid per night this was unacceptable.
