The Space:

Discover the gorgeous Pacific Northwest with this lovely riverfront home near majestic Mount Hood. The stunning greenery and peaceful surroundings of the forest is the perfect getaway if you're looking to escape the everyday hustle and bustle. Adventure through the trees, explore hiking the nature trails, and fly fish in the river. Drive into town to find local eateries, arts, entertainment, and an array of family-friendly attractions.



Upon entry, you'll be met with a bright interior and a warm feeling of welcome throughout the space. There are plenty of places to sit in the kitchenette, where you can eat your breakfast while watching wildlife out the window. A kitchenette is provided for convenience, with a microwave, mini-fridge, toaster oven, and coffee maker. With three beds, there's more than enough room for everyone to get a great night's rest from the day's activities. The main bedroom is the epitome of comfort, with a Queen-size bed, a lovely view, a TV for private viewing, and a beautiful en suite bathroom, equipped with a roomy tub/shower combo. Spend your evenings taking in the evening air and relaxing in the rocking chairs as the stars come out to dot the sky.

You can wake up and go to sleep to the song of the river. The river access was absolutely amazing! Hours of exploration. Beautiful location.

When we got to the location we realized that the front door was not the entrance to the guest suite. There are signs that you cannot park in front of the garage, and the entrance is around the side of the house and then you have to lug all of your crap UPSTAIRS. We called the property management 30 minutes after checking in, to tell them that these stairs were a significant safety and accessibility issue for our family - as we have a son with disabilities. No one ever called us back so we waited until it was dark and then decided it would be better to stay there than have nowhere else to stay that night. We had to barricade the stair way with furniture (not safe or secure) to ensure that our disabled son did not fall down them while walking between bedrooms or to the bathroom. The following morning we left, and when we called the property manager again to let them know that we never received a call back, and that we were leaving - they told us that someone would reach out today. It is now 1pm the day that we were supposed to get a call from the property manager and we are giving up. We will have to dispute this on our credit card. Absolutely horrible.

Superb Value!

The property was very clean and homey. The location is haw-dropping and conveniently located within a short drive of great food options and hiking locations. The price is perfect for what we got out of it.

Beautiful serene spot

The river access is amazing. We loved sleeping with the windows open to the sound of it. The place was nice and spacious enough. I like how they converted a bedroom into a kitchenette.

This is a delightful little spot. The property is absolutely magic! Highly recommend, but bring your own hotspot if you’re working remotely.

Wonderful Setting

Amazing location along the Salmon River set in a Douglas fir and Hemlock Old Growth Forest. Your white noise was the river. We had a quiet peaceful stay. Thank you.

We love coming here and the location is wonderful year round. Our family had a great time swimming at nearby lakes on Mt. Hood. It’s great to come back at the end of the day and relax on the porch or down on the Salmon River. We had an issue with the WiFi being down but it was quickly tended to and fixed. Winter or summer this place is wonderful and we will gladly visit again!

Relaxing & peaceful

The location on the Salmon River is beautiful. You can see & hear the river from the house & wrap around porch. There are Adirondack chairs down at the river to enjoy. The water is about 12" deep in July, not much current, so it was safe for our grandsons to play in. Highly recommend! Quiet area at the end of the neighborhood.

Place is clean, the gues suite has limited internet bandwidth and no cell reception. It is hard to sometimes make a call.

Welshes apartment

Beautiful views of Salmon River, with access to enjoy up close. Comfortable beds, well appointed kitchen. Description shows central AC. I was not able to locate any control panel. I communicated with vrbo. They said someone local would call next morning. They never did. Thankfully it wasn’t to hot, but would have liked to adjust temperature.

First off, Overall great stay. There is just a few things I’d like to mention to help the owner and future renters. The Listing is not totally clear on what you’re getting. The Listing doesn’t let you know that you’re sharing the house with someone. We were surprised when we arrived and noticed half of the house was locked off. With private signs and a special spot to park. ( can’t park in front of garage on driveway.) the pictures are accurate as far as what the rooms look like. but it doesn’t mention anything about being shared or only having upstairs portion. Would be a good idea to mention this as some people have trouble going up and down stairs. Also listing says there is central AC. This is true to some extent as there is central ac located on the property. But the listing doesn’t mention that the thermostat is downstairs in the owners part of the house completely unreachable. We became very warm in the house and found it very hard to cool it down with just opening windows. We were slightly lucky and stayed on a weekend that was not extremely hot out. If it was 90 degrees out it would definitely be uncomfortable. I feel it would greatly help any confusion in the future if the owner would mention these things. My wife and I are easy going people so we just went with it instead of getting upset about the miscommunication. Overall it was nice, we had a great time for our anniversary.
