The Space:

Enjoy waking up to the sights and sounds of this lush island in the Lowcountry. This home is fantastic for enjoying wildlife and nature! With expansive views from every window of the marsh and Braddock Cove, you're sure to enter vacation mode immediately. Offering a split-level layout that is great for groups or multi-generational families, the open design will inspire some family fun! Relax on one of the living room sofas and settle in for a movie night; every room has a smart TV. Soak up the sun by the private pool or unwind in the pool spa and watch the sunset. When everyone has worked up an appetite, head into the elegant full kitchen to make a family-favorite recipe from scratch. As the night comes to a close, break out one of the many provided board games and indulge in some friendly competition before resting and recharging for the next day's adventure.



The home is about a half-mile from South Beach Marina, so you can walk or bike to enjoy the beauty of this natural paradise with convenience. If you're looking for various shopping and dining options, hop on the Sea Pines trolley for a scenic ride to Harbour Town Marina or go to South Beach for a plate of local cuisine. If golf is in the cards for you, the island has several world-class courses, so take your pick.

Blissful and relaxed retreat

My expanding and active family enjoyed this great house and pool that was very close to the south beach and marina area. Would absolutely book again. House was clean and comfortable and perfect for our mix of 13 people. Plenty of room to spread out with a great meeting area in the family room. The pool was probably the favorite spot with great views in the morning and at sunset. My younger boys especially enjoyed the various wildlife flying and hopping all around the area. We rented bikes and really enjoyed the whole Sea Pines neighborhood. Thanks to the host and owner for a really great vacation spot and easy in and out process.

Overall great! Kitchen was mostly fully stocked with essential cooking gear. You don’t need to bring anything except food, spices, etc. Pool is perfect, and the garage contained a ton of beach and pool toys. There is also a lot of board games provided, which is great for all the surprise thunderstorms on the island.The upstairs cooling system is broken as far as we could tell - completely unresponsive to thermostat changes, it just always stayed chilly 65.

Overall a decent property. Furniture had several stains. Pool was clean and well maintained. Short walk to Salty Dog and beach.

Tremendous views

We really enjoyed the location and incredible marsh views from this house. The sunrises were beautiful and the easy walk to the beach gave us the sunsets. The kitchen was well-equipped and open. There were no lamps in the living and dining areas, just ceiling lights so at night it was pretty dim. Suggest adding some for reading and puzzles. Beds were comfortable.

Overall, we enjoyed our stay here, fantastic location, and great views of the marsh. Very clean home. Please be aware that they do not provide any laundry detergent so bring your own. The big disappointment we had was regarding the pool. The website doesn’t make any mention of having a three night minimum to heat the pool, which we were not aware of, and was a surprise in the week leading up to our stay when I tried to make the pool heat request. There is also no way to make the hot tub hot. request.

Summer 2025 Stay

Overall, our stay was great at this house. The house is clean, beautiful, open and nicely updated downstairs. The deck and pool are really nice and the view of the marsh is fantastic. All the beds were super comfortable and the bathrooms were nice as well. We were very comfortable and will likely stay here again. The location to the beach is awesome as well - a quick 7 minute walk. All in, a beautiful house that suited us well during our stay. We had a few issues upon our arrival, all of which Vacasa responded too quickly:The AC on the third floor wasn't working (someone came out on a Saturday immediately after our arrival and fixed it); the ice machine in the freezer was broken (they came out to fix, but couldn't fix) and the washing machine was broken (here too, someone came out to fix, but wasn't able. My brother in law ended up ordering some parts from Amazon and fixed it). There is also a significant amount of mold on the ceiling of one of the bathrooms on the second floor that needs to be resolved immediately. Lastly, while the deck and the pool are beautiful, there isn't any furniture on the deck and minimal at the pool, and no umbrellas. This is a huge miss - adding some furniture is a must to fully enjoy the space. As mentioned, Vacasa was very quick to respond to our needs, and compensated us fairly due to some other issues with customer service staff - highly recommend renting through them.

Terrible stay

Good location - not much else nice to say. Had several issues while staying at the property. Vacasa staff was nearly impossible to work with. After going to HHI for over a decade this is the only (worst) bad trip we’ve experienced. Had it been our first, we’d never come back. Avoid this property. Much better options especially for the cost. Our trip was a joke.

Corporate run challenges.

Rented the property five days in advance of my arrival. Called four times to try and pay additional funds to have the pool heated. Was told we needed to give a seven-day notice for this to happen. It was impossible to give seven days' notice when renting five days out. Poor service.

Beautiful Home, on the Marsh peaceful, beautiful wildlife, walking distance to Salty Dog! well stocked kitchen, not enough space to put up dry goods had to leave on island/counters Would have given 5 stars but had HVAC Trouble and it took several calls to get resolved, black mold was noted on one of the air vents during time HVAC not working. Which was reported. Vacasa rep was helpful, awaiting to hear if we obtained any compensation she was going to ask her manager for that issue as several in our family got sick during stay.

Fabulous family gathering place

The Wren Dr home was a perfect place for our 11-person family gathering! The location in Sea Pines is the best of both worlds- located at the end of a quiet culdesac overlooking the marsh, but a very quick, easy walk to the beach and Salty Dog area. Loved the privacy and easy accessibility! House is lovely and well appointed. Looks recently updated. Great configuration of beds/baths and beds are very comfortable! Two sets of washer/dryers, outdoor gas grill, etc… bring own beach towels (we didn’t see any), but there are plenty of bathing towels. Bring all of own food items- there are no basics such as olive oil, seasonings, foil/Saran, coffee, sugar, etc. We truly loved our stay and will absolutely book this home again. I will share two points of caution: 1) Checking in requires going to the property management office to collect Sea Pines parking passes first. If others in your party are arriving separately, you will either need to meet them outside of the Sea Pines gate or they will be charged a fee to enter. It is a slightly inconvenient process when traveling a distance to Hilton Head. 2) The gas supply to the house. BEWARE if you request to have pool/spa heated!! We discovered on the second day of our stay that the buried gas tank that supplies the house to heat pool/spa and Rinnai hot water heater was empty!! The gentleman who stopped by to skim the pool told us that. Thankfully there is an electric on-demand hot water heater so we had hot water in the house, but it does not work for the pool/spa and definitely does not sufficiently keep up with hot water demands for 11 people! Additionally, the Rinnai beeps loudly and continuously when hot water is called for inside the house, as it is trying to kick on but has no gas supply. We were refunded for the pool/spa heating charge after reporting that the gas tank was empty. Not sure how this was allowed to become an issue in the first place. It should have either been disclosed ahead of time that the gas supply was empty, or it should have been maintained at a reasonable level. I am familiar with buried gas tank supply, and cannot think of a reasonable excuse for this issue. Overall, we made the best of it, and barring that issue, we would absolutely book this wonderful home again!

The view is all this place has going for it

The expansive marsh view is gorgeous. Sadly that’s where it ends. For the second year in a row the AC went out. The kitchen is very,very poorly equipped. Bring your own non stick pan, every single pan was destroyed with large areas of non stick missing. There were no measuring spoons, measuring cups, serving flat wear or enough forks. All the upholstery and carpets were very dirty. We rented this house for seven years and sadly can’t justify returning and paying the high price for a home that is not being maintained.

Beautiful marsh views!

We love this home and have stayed in it 3 times. The views of the marsh are amazing and just as beautiful as being at the beach, so never felt like we were missing out. This home does need a little love however. Carpet on stairs/bedrooms needs cleaned or replaced and the main living area rug needs tacked down to prevent a tripping hazard. Master bedroom towel bar was broken and needs repaired. Also kitchen sink drain is running extremely slow. We contacted Vacasa/property manager about this as soon as we checked in and although they called back and said it would be taken care of the next day, no one ever showed up even after I called to follow up. Love this home and the views, but Vacasa's customer service leaves a lot to be desired for the amount of money it costs to rent this home. Not sure we will rent from Vacasa again and we've been coming to HHI for 18 years.

We had a great time at this location. Enjoyed the view of the marsh and fishing everyday. We had a few issues with the house, but maintenance was quick to respond. I wish this house had more bathrooms and it would’ve been perfect!

Great family trip

The house was roomy and clean. Near the beach nice pool and view. I wish they would’ve had beach towels or a beach blanket but they don’t supply those anymore. Even to rent would’ve been nice ..I had to rent a pack and play and high chair through another company. So I would say great house for older kids.. quiet location and walkable to beach. Super Fun Spring Break

The house was really great for our group (two families of five). The home was clean and kitchen well stocked. The location was great--easy access to the beach and a beautiful view from the private pool. Sea Pines is a fabulous location--we rode bikes to breakfast, walked to lunch and just generally enjoyed ourselves. We did have to contact the management for a couple of issues--trash wasn't picked up and the heat for the pool stopped working but they got back to us and got everything sorted out. Would def stay here again!

Our Experience

Our stay was great! There were a few minor problems but overall a great experience. The dish disposal didn’t work accurately. It kept turning off and it drained slowly. There was a hole in the carpet in the master bedroom and the toilet paper holder in one of the bathrooms was broken off. Overall we were pleased with our stay.
