There's so much to keep the whole family busy at this lovely waterfront home that you may not get far, but when you do want to explore, all of Lake Anna is at your doorstep. The home sits lakefront on three wooded acres, with lots of opportunities to enjoy the outdoors. Have coffee on the large, sunny deck and enjoy the gorgeous view, then head downstairs to the screened patio to enjoy some time in the hot tub. Play some horseshoes, get a fire going in the outdoor fireplace, or explore the water with the canoe or four provided kayaks, plus two just for the kids. The private cove and small beach area are perfect for small children to walk directly into the water. The gas grill makes for an easy family cookout, and the firepit is ideal for roasting marshmallows at the end of the night.

Inside, you'll find just as much fun - there's a wet bar/game room in the basement, plus a living room upstairs and a den downstairs with a streaming-capable TV. Foosball, a multi-change game table, board games, a DVD player, free WiFi, and cable will keep everyone entertained. Start the day with a hearty breakfast thanks to the full, well-equipped kitchen, then grab a barstool or sit down for a family meal at the adjacent dining table. The brand-new furnishings and open layout make it easy to gather comfortably as a group. Get the gas fireplace going to increase the cozy factor each evening, and then call it a night in any of the five well-appointed bedrooms. Fall asleep dreaming of your first - and next - perfect lake day to come.

We thoroughly enjoyed every aspect of the house and property. The kids had a blast fishing, kayaking and playing games. The adults were truly able to relax and enjoy everything as well. This was the perfect setup for our family!

Great place!

The house was great! Bedrooms were nice and comfortable. The cove was quiet and wonderful for floating and also access if you have jet skis or a boat. We will definitely return:)

Great for a weekend getaway!

This house is amazing with access to the lake at a private dock. Amenities include kayaking, a canoe, lakeside fire pit, and hot tub to keep everyone entertained! Love the open floor concept so people can socialize and feel like part of the group while cooking.

Wonderful Thanksgiving Vacation

Our three kids and their spouses and our seven grands all joined us at Freedom Cove for Thanksgiving. We loved the house, the kayaks, the sunset views....great memories were made.

FF Weekend 2024

Beautiful lakefront home!

What a wonderful place to relax! We celebrated an early Thanksgiving with our chikdren & grandchildren. Plenty of room for 6 adults & 6 children! Kitchen was well stocked with utensils. We loved the dock, firepit, kayaks & hot tub! Hope to visit again!

Saving grace

We booked this house for a low-key bachelorette trip. Our original house cancelled and Vacasa saved the day!! All staff were extremely helpful both before and after the trip. We had left a few items on accident and Vacasa staff were wonderful in getting them back to us. Would highly recommend to anyone looking for a trip to Lake Anna

Fun Family Reunion Spot

We met family here for the weekend and enjoyed everything about this place! Ages ranged from 8 months old to 74 baby, kinds, teens and adults! There was a place for everyone and always something to do! We kayaked, met the neighbors, roasted s’mores at the fire pit, enjoyed the hot tub, grilled out and just enjoyed laying around the house!

Great Location and House!

We keep our boat at Lake Anna Marina so this house could not have been in a better location for us to get our boat over to the house. Cove is quiet with a view out to the main lake. Luckily not of the power plant! Great view. We found pretty much everything we needed. Highly recommend!

The Perfect Lake House

We spent three nights at Freedom Cove with seven adults and five children under 8. Plenty of space for everyone, little beach, fun water toys, the big blue float was so much fun for the little ones. Kid size kayaks and adult kayaks got plenty of use. We had s’mores each night at the fire pit. Amenities were terrific. Beautiful setting. If you have a chance to vacation at this place, don’t hesitate!

Perfect Lake Getaway

We celebrated my husband’s retirement at Freedom Cove with family and friends. We couldn’t ask for a better place to stay! This beautiful lake home was the perfect place! We loved morning coffee on the back deck enjoying the amazing lake view, shrimp boil downstairs on the picnic table, water fun with kayaks/canoe/sandy beach area, s’mores by the fire and soaking in the hot tub at night. There was plenty of space, rooms, and bathrooms for us all. The kitchen is stocked with all you could need for family meals. We wished we could stay longer and can’t wait to go back!

Fishing adventure

Great place to stay overall. Plenty to do at the property. We had multiple boats (3) with us. Kinda tough location with a boat to access, but doable. No boat ramp access on the property. 10-15 min drive to boat ramps. (2) issues with the property itself. (2) sinks were non working. Both were drain issues.

The house pretty much had what we needed but it smelled of a dead rodent there was standing water outside by the jacuzzi when we arrived that stayed there the whole entire time in the downstairs bathroom and the laundry room down there it smelled as if there was something dead in there we could not find anything but the smell was overpowering where we couldn't even sleep downstairs the conditions on the outside of the house were not as nice as the pictures it needs some maintenance gutters clean and some upkeep on some broken things on the outside

"GREAT! As long as you don't mind cold showers."

We really enjoyed our stay - beautiful location, lots of activities possible. We especially enjoyed having a canoe and four kayaks! Week began cold and rainy and we had to get a repairman in to fix the gas fireplace which we need the first couple of nights. Then it warmed and became sunny and we were down on the dock and in the kayaks all day long and sat around the fire pit in the evening. Great memories and photos. The only real problem was the hot water situation. We only had 7 people and there is simply no way the old electric water heater could keep up with the briefest of daily showers for all. We actually made a joke out of rationing hot water with every- other- day- showers and those were cold after 1 minute. Owner needs to fix thast problem.

We love the location of the house. However, there were a couple of suggestions. There is a pack and play with no sheets. There is no baby gate. The lights in the fans in the living room need to be dimmable light bulbs and not regular light bulbs. The bathroom upstairs that separates the 2 bedrooms has a very slippery shower, not good for older people. I suggest a grab bar or sticky strips to place in the bottom of the tub. In the master bathroom the toilet paper holder is missing a screw and sometimes falls off the wall. The description of the house could have been more detailed. Had a terrible time with the keypad on the front door would only work open from the inside. Wasn't able to even lock when I left had to manually lock front door

Freedom cove review - private

Great location Great place Some input Needs lower level game room carpeting And bar sink needs repaired Boat house lighting and electric needs fixed Actually 4 Hot tub area and screened deck needs cleaned Screen door needs repaired Few things The screened in porch on the first level, the door needs fixed. The screen is broken The chair in the lower Main bedroom first level one leg broken when we got there Instructions for the fireplace, a gas fireplace on the main level or incomplete because it's not working Also, the light above the sink needs a bulb but it's a fluorescent bulb And last thing, one of the kitchen cupboard doors was off when we arrived. It's by the entryway need to reattach.
