Great cottage and great location

This cottage is perfect for a weekend getaway. It has everything you need along with being in a great location. The beach, market, and restaurants are all a short walk away.

The house was amazing. We had a fantastic trip. There were only a few concerns. The front door lock is not the same as what was sent as instructions. Also, the front door does not latch properly. You have to lift up on the door to get it to close. Some of the house exterior is starting to fall apart, like the front steps railing. Backyard was wonderful, but it does not appear any of the exterior lighting was functioning. One of the toilets was extremely lose, to the point if you shuffled at all it would start to tip over, so we tried not to use that one. Microwave stopped working the night before and the dishwasher stopped working when we were getting ready to leave. But the property was very communicative and even asked if we wanted someone to come out. In the end we had a blast and would recommend the house to stay in! Tons of amenities and very close to the public access to the beach.

Perfect for family

Stayed here with my family (1 infant and 2 dogs) and in-laws. Everything was absolutely perfect! Short distance to public beach and Union Pier restaurants.

Great place!

Cute home with large living spaces, a huge back yard, and nice deck with a grill. Super close to the beach, and within easy walking distance to a couple of restaurants, an excellent cafe, a grocery store, and a bakery.

Location location location

Found our gem, this location was perfect…short walk to the pristine beach, surrounded by beautiful homes and cozy cottages. Away from the busy popular places. Enjoyed hanging out in the backyard and having a wide open plan on the inside. Would stay here again!

Great house!

We loved this house. It was clean and plenty big enough for our family of 4. It’s just a 5 minute walk to the beach and a quick stroll to the Whistlestop coffee shop among other restaurants. The kids loved the big backyard. We’d stay here again in a heartbeat.

Loved this vacation rental. Kitchen was amazing and I loved the mix of modern furniture and antiques. I slept on the queen bed and it was very comfy. Will plan on coming back next year.

Nice area but property needs maintenance

Property very much in need of maintenance on various items. It was a great location in a quaint neighborhood close to the beach. We loved the fire pit and the firewood that was provided.

Perfect Michigan getaway!

Our rental home was great! We were in Union Pier MI and quaint little town that was beautiful! The location of our property was a block away from 2 lovely beaches. The house was very clean cute and comfortable and had a great fenced in back yard for our boxer. I would definitely use Vrbo/Vacasa again. We had excellent communication with the host at all times.

Memories are made here!

‘Steps from the Beach’ house was our home for a week that we won’t ever forget! It was well decorated, with an updated, functional layout. Our kids (age 6, 9, &11) spent nearly every day at the beach, which truly is a 5 minute walk. Then we spent evenings playing cards, enjoying the fire pit, and actually ENJOYING each other! It’s like the home brought out the interaction with each other, screen-free! Would highly recommend ‘Steps from the Beach’
