Great condo for a small family.

Our kids loved moving into the loft and making it their space. The condo is well appointed and everything was clean and worked great.

Although the views were great, and the size of the unit was comfortable and clean, there were several issues that keep me from recommending this property. First, the listing states "all fees included." This is not true. There is a Sea Colony resort fee that is in addition. Nowhere is this mentioned in the listing. In addition, no one contacted me to tell me this or the process for check in until I worriedly found a number to call on my arrival date, and found out I had to pay the resort fee first. The fee is required for a full week even though we only stayed 2 nights. Many of the amenities were closed since we were there after Labor Day. The fee is a waste. The unit's furniture was old, and rather uncomfortable, and needed cleaning, the shower leaked, and there was one drinking glass in the entire unit, and it was cracked. All in all, a hotel would have been less expensive and a better experience. I, unfortunately, recommend you continue looking. Great location and views, but deceiving cost in the listing, poor management communication, and unit condition, made for a less than perfect experience.

Gorgeous views on the beach

Absolutely loved staying here. The views were gorgeous and it was right on the beach. Loved how private it was at this resort and my kids loved the spiral staircase in the condo. We will definitely be back!

Great Penthouse views!

We loved the penthouse views and the upgraded features of the home. The loft was a great addition to our stay. We could see the 4th of July fireworks perfectly from our deck.

Anniversary getaway

My wife and I booked this location for our anniversary, and it was amazing from start to finish! We arrived after hours but the check in process of picking up our keys was smooth as can be, and we got in without issue. The place was immaculate from the start, and we felt right at home (especially considering it was storming when we went)! The location has great access to all of Bethany and was a great home base, and we couldn’t have asked for a better view of the ocean. We’re seriously considering coming back in the future, and could not recommend it enough!

Gorgeous view and comfortable, lovely room

My friend and I book ourselves a writer's retreat every late winter. Usually we stay in Rehoboth, but the images of this room at Sea Colony in Bethany Beach were so spectacular we had to try it out. The room was *exactly* as pictured, with the GORGEOUS ocean view from the balcony, upstairs loft, kitchen, etc. Check-in was smooth and seamless. We enjoyed ourselves thoroughly. The place had every little creature comfort for us, well designed layout (loved the kitchen), and felt like a luxe apartment suite ~ a perfect escape from the city. Loved the private beach entrance and being able to walk along the beach at night without a ton of bright lights. Magical. Thanks for everything.

Loft issues

The condo is absolutely adorable online and in person, but we didn’t have any sheets for the queen pullout couch in the loft upstairs. Vacasa brought them the second day we were there. Once we pulled out the pullout couch, there was a big stain on the mattress. In addition, none of the lights or the TV in the upstairs loft worked and we called for help and electrician came out, but he wasn’t able to fix it and offered us a lamp, but the lamp never showed up so the entire loft was unusable as the teenager who was supposed to sleep up there was not comfortable sleeping on the stained mattress, which I totally understood. The loft was the second bedroom.

However, we sincerely apologize for the inconveniences you encountered during your stay. We understand how important it is to have a comfortable and fully functional space, and we regret that the queen pullout couch in the loft did not meet your expectations. Housekeeping did deliver the sheets for the sofa bed the following morning, but we acknowledge the additional issues you faced. The stain on the mattress and the non-functional lights and TV in the loft are certainly concerns. We had an electrician come out to address the electrical issues, but unfortunately, he was unable to resolve them during your stay. These are more in depth issues that the homeowner has plans to address during the offseason. For the mean time, the homeowner has provided a floor lamp for the loft to improve lighting. We appreciate your feedback as it helps us improve our service and amenities. Thank you for your understanding, and we hope to have the opportunity to provide you with a more enjoyable experience in the future.
