This peaceful, idyllically situated house in Caprino—about 250 meters from the lake and offering plenty of privacy—is located directly across from Lugano. <br>Our private lakeside plot is available exclusively for your use. There, you can sunbathe :) and swim undisturbed. Access to the lake is through the boathouse.<br><br>Both lakeside plots are a 5-minute walk away. <br><br>After the winding drive from Melide via Maroggia, Arogno, and Pugerna (20 minutes), you’ll be rewarded with a fantastic view of Lake Lugano, the mountains Monte Tamarò, Monte Lema, Monte Bré, and San Salvatore. The small village of Caprino is easily accessible from Lugano in 30 minutes by car or by ferry—San Rocco ferry stop. <br>The ferry runs several times a day to and from Lugano. <br>www.lakelugano.ch <br> It’s about 300 meters from the ferry stop to the vacation home. <br>There are two parking spaces available at the house.<br><br>With 4 bedrooms, one full bathroom, and an additional half-bath, as well as a large dining and living area, it offers plenty of space for families and couples. A beautiful garden with an outdoor fireplace for barbecuing, as well as table tennis, badminton, and a sauna (for a fee), invite you to relax and unwind. <br>The lakeside plot belonging to the house is available to guests for sunbathing and swimming in the lake (access to the lake via a staircase in the boathouse). A surfboard and a rubber boat are also available for free use. <br>Another lakeside area is also available for swimming (Infeca). This is particularly suitable for children; it is private but shared among various vacation home owners in Caprino. Water shoes are recommended. <br>It features a swimming dock, a sunbathing area, bocce, and table tennis.<br>Weather permitting, swimming in Lake Lugano is no problem from June through mid-October.<br><br><br><br><br> The “Grotto San Rocco” restaurant is located at the boat stop right on the lake (the grottos close for the season toward the end of October).<br> You’ll find a small shop in the neighboring village of Pugerna or in Arogno. <br><br>The golf course in Lanzo, Italy, is a 20-minute drive away. The area is also a great hiking destination. You can explore the many hiking trails on Google Maps. Of particular note is the hike starting right from the house, along the lake to the Customs Museum. Other excursion destinations include the San Giorgio World Heritage Site with its Dinosaur Museum, the family adventure at Monte Tamaro with its high ropes course and large toboggan run, and the Splash & Spa in Rivera. Additionally, the Parco San Grato in the village of Carona is always worth a visit.
