Younger Than The Mountains is a spacious Gatlinburg retreat where rustic charm meets modern comfort. Accommodating up to 11 guests, this cozy cabin is ideal for families and groups seeking both relaxation and adventure. Surrounded by the beauty and tranquility of the Smokies, you’ll feel tucked away in nature while staying just minutes from downtown Gatlinburg, popular attractions, great restaurants, unique shops, scenic hiking trails, and the entrance to Great Smoky Mountains National Park.

Younger Than The Mountains is located in the heart of Gatlinburg, offering the perfect balance of peaceful mountain surroundings and convenient access to local attractions. Surrounded by the natural beauty of the Smokies, the cabin feels secluded and serene while still being just minutes from downtown.

Within a short drive, you’ll find popular attractions, unique shops, great restaurants, museums, and scenic hiking trails. The entrance to the Great Smoky Mountains National Park is also nearby, making it easy to enjoy everything from outdoor adventures to family-friendly entertainment. It’s an ideal location for experiencing the very best of Gatlinburg and the Smoky Mountains.

Steep Driveway Notice

Our cabin has a steep mountain driveway, which is common in Gatlinburg. SUVs and 4WD vehicles are strongly recommended, especially during winter or inclement weather.

If your vehicle is the first to arrive, we recommend driving to the top of the driveway and turning around so your vehicle is facing downhill when you depart. The parking area at the top is flat and can accommodate approximately three vehicles.

If other vehicles are already parked at the top, you may prefer to back up the driveway, perform a three-point turn partway up, or turn around before leaving.

There is ample parking for multiple vehicles and even an RV, provided you are comfortable maneuvering on a steep incline.

As you approach the cabin, GPS may bring you close to the entrance. You will need to make a sharp right-hand U-turn to enter the driveway. The cabin is one of the first homes you’ll see upon entering the Cobbly Nob community.

The vacation vibe you get from staying in this home begins even before you walk through the front door. You and your guests are greeted by a spacious home that is designed for your family to maximize fun in the Smoky Mountains! With spacious bedrooms, a steamy hot tub, an arcade game, and a pool table, your family and guests will have never-ending entertainment! In addition, the cabin has a huge deck that sprawls across the cabin, perfect for taking in the scenic view while cooking up dinner on the gas grill or enjoying a beverage on the deck!

★LIVING ROOM★
Younger Than the Mountains living room is designed for both entertainment and relaxation, so whether you're a couch potato or you spend just a few hours a day in your living room, you'll get the most out of it thanks to the included amenities. You'll find a large screen TV, a fireplace for cozy nights, and plush couches so you can watch a movie, read a book, or warm up while chatting about your daily adventures in the Smokies!

★KITCHEN AND DINING★
Meals are an important aspect of every vacation, and while the area offers a multitude of restaurants for every culinary craving, if you never want to leave the house to eat, you certainly don't have to! Younger Than The Mountains offers a fully equipped kitchen complete with everything you need to prepare your own farm-to-table meal, including a standard-size refrigerator, oven, stove, toaster, pots, pans, and cutlery. The updated kitchen also has brand-new stainless-steel appliances. With an open design, there's plenty of counter space to cook and enjoy meals! The dining area is situated right off the kitchen area, with seating large enough to gather and enjoy your meals comfortably.

★BEDROOMS, BATHROOMS, AND MORE★
Upon entering the home, you are welcomed to a large and spacious living room with soaring ceilings! Throughout the cabin, you will find a total of four bedrooms and three full bathrooms. Guests will find one bedroom on the main floor, which hosts a king-sized bed and a nicely remodeled en-suite bathroom. Guests will find the top floor with two additional bedrooms, which host 1 king and 1 queen-sized beds. The lower level is where guests will find the kids' bedroom with two bunk beds, one of which is a twin-over-twin bunk bed and the second is a twin-over-queen bunk bed -- plenty of sleeping arrangements for all of your little ones (or big ones!). Each room has cozy bedding and comfortable beds to help ensure a restful night's sleep. You can pack light, because each bathroom contains towels and starter soaps, shampoos, toilet paper, and other bathroom essentials.

★ACTIVITIES★
The lower level is where you will find the pool table and arcade game for endless hours of fun for adults and kids alike. If that begins to get boring (which is unlikely), more fun awaits you outdoors! You and your guests can relax in the hot tub, play a game of corn hole, or grill dinner on the gas grill and dine at the outdoor table while taking in the gorgeous view. To wind down your day, enjoy a hot cup of tea (or moonshine!) while relaxing on the porch lounge chairs. During the summer months (from Memorial Day to Labor Day), guests can enjoy access to three nearby community pools, perfect for cooling off and relaxing under the Smoky Mountain sun:

BEARS are indigenous to the area and are often seen near or on our properties. Please do not leave food or trash outside. The black bears have been extremely active in the smoky mountains this year. The town states there will be fines implemented if someone is caught feeding a bear. We all LOVE the bears and do not want them transferred out of our village because of guests getting too close to them or trying to feed the bears.

Kitchen and Outdoor Cooking: The kitchen is stocked with dishes and cookware. We provide a standard coffee maker or a Keurig, so please bring along your preferred grounds or pods.

Regarding the Grill: We have a propane grill with a back up tank, so there will be propane for you when you BBQ.

Pigeon Forge, Gatlinburg and Sevierville are the three main cities that comprise the area. Everything is spread out a bit and there are amazing things to keep you busy...
- World class hiking trails of all types and skill levels
- Dollywood theme park (of course!)
- Putt putt, go karts and pancake restaurants on every corner
- Amazing dinner shows to entertain kids of all ages
- Museums of all types: classic cars, Alcatraz, Titanic and several children's museums
- Restaurants of all types... Always come hungry because serving sizes are HUGE!
