We loved the convenience of being right down town. You could tell there was a lot of love put into remodeling the home and they did a wonderful job!

I can’t say enough great things about our stay in Mackinaw City. Our host Gail was accommodating and the house was perfect. The walkability to all the shops and to the ferry to Mackinac Island was exactly what we wanted. I wish I could’ve stayed longer!! I will definitely be back :)

Gail was helpful answering all my questions and making me and my family feel at home. Place is very clean and perfect location.Had minor issues getting in initially because the code was mistakenly set, but George arrived within 5 minutes and all was good.Place is conveniently located within walking distance to food, shops, and Shepler's Ferry. We would stay here again.

Kind hosts, great with communication.The property was a great location and clean. They have tons of box fans and the two main bedrooms have a air conditioner. Windows allowed great airflow. We were worried since it was summer and the house would be too hot.

This house was the perfect place to stay, and we only wish we could have stayed longer! Its location couldn’t have been better—just one block from shopping and restaurants, and only a short walk to the ferry for Mackinac Island. It was so convenient to park our car when we arrived and explore everything on foot.We absolutely loved the small-town charm of Mackinac City, and this home made our visit even more memorable. George and Gail have thought of everything, stocking the house with everything a family could need. They also did a beautiful job remodeling the home while preserving its warm farmhouse character and charm.We truly can’t recommend this place highly enough and would gladly stay here again!

We had an amazing stay at Gail and George's place in Mackinac City! The property is newly renovated and the location is absolutely unbeatable! Everything is within easy walking distance, including shops, bars, the ferry to Mackinac Island, and Joanne's Fudge (seriously, 2–3 minutes on foot and some of the best fudge we've ever had).We were celebrating one of our group's 21st birthday and had a fantastic night at the Dixie Saloon, a perfect spot for the occasion. The people there were extremely nice and gave us a wine tasting served in shot glasses but charged us for one glass of moscato! The whole trip came together beautifully, and having such a well-located, updated place to come back to made it even better.I'll absolutely be booking again whenever family or friends want to head up to Mackinac City. Highly recommend!

Our family has stayed at many rental properties over the years, and this home in Mackinaw City was one of the best we can remember. The house beautifully blends historic character with modern updates from a thoughtful renovation, and the amenities were excellent.The location could not have been better for visiting Mackinaw City and Mackinac Island. We were able to walk everywhere—from seeing the bridge just steps away, to catching the ferry, to exploring the shops and entertainment in town. Not having to worry about shuttles or parking fees was a huge bonus.We traveled with two children, ages 12 and 9, and they loved the house as well. The games provided by the hosts were a big hit and helped make the stay even more enjoyable for our family.Everything in the home was easy to use, including the TVs, Wi-Fi, and electronic window blinds.Although this may be a newer VRBO listing, our experience was outstanding. It offered a wonderful combination of comfort, convenience, and value. We would absolutely recommend it to anyone visiting Mackinaw City.

We had a great stay here! Perfect for two families to share for a summer getaway. Central location easy to walk to dinner, ice cream, park for the kids and a perfect walk to the Ferry to visit Mackinac Island. Gail was very communicative and overall a smooth easy process. We would definitely stay here again.

This was a great property with an amazing location if you’re looking to stay in Mackinaw City. It’s one block to the main strip where you’ll find all the restaurants, bars, and shops. Just a couple minutes further walk, 5 minutes total, if you’re looking to take the ferry over to Mackinac Island. Spent the 4th of July Weekend here with my wife and our two teenagers. More than enough room with 3 bedrooms. 1 on first floor with a queen bed and right beside the downstairs full bath. The other 2 bedrooms are upstairs with one having another queen bed and the other having 4 single beds. In the upstairs sitting area is a day bed my daughter decided to sleep on as it had a tv in the room. Very large kitchen/dining area and a cute little outdoor sitting area to the side of the house. As I mentioned before though, the best part is undoubtedly the location as you can easily get to all the Mackinaw City tourist areas without ever having to move your car. The owners are also a very nice couple who can help you with anything you may need and provide great area recommendations.

What an absolutely perfect find. We WALKED to Sheplers for our Mackinac Island visit - this alone is worth the rental. After a long day on the island, a short walk to home base was so amazing. It’s walking distance to literally everything. You never have to leave this few block radius if you don’t want to. Special bonus was a 10 minute fireworks show that could be seen from the front yard in the evening. I say bonus for only 10 minutes of fireworks because we have a toddler- but she was so cozy in the super comfortable bed that she didn’t even stir! The home is beautifully updated throughout and the hosts are just genuinely gracious humans. We will be back!
