The Ritzhäuser Lieblingsnest vacation rental is located on the outskirts of Fehl-Ritzhausen, in the heart of the Upper Westerwald.
The spa town of Bad Marienberg, with its small restaurants, cafés, shopping, and cultural events, is just a 5-minute drive away. There you’ll find the Marienbad, a tree-top adventure course, and the Bad Marienberg Wildlife Park, featuring a large playground, the “Großer Wolfstein” and “Kleiner Wolfstein” hills, and animals you can feed and pet.
Also worth a stroll is the Bad Marienberg Basalt Park, located right next to the wildlife park.

The Bad Marienberg Spa Park features a small mini-golf course, an apothecary garden, a Kneipp pool, and a barefoot trail.

A beautiful hiking destination is the nearby Bacher Lay Nature Reserve with its rugged cliffs and the Schwarze Nister stream.

Those who prefer a more active experience will find what they’re looking for at the nearby Schorrberg.
Here, you can use the bike park on a mountain bike in the summer and the ski lift (T-bar lift with snowmaking system) in the winter, featuring one blue and one red trail with a total length of about 700 meters.

Depending on weather conditions, additional winter sports opportunities are available at the Salzburger Kopf, located about 10 km away. There, you can go skiing, sledding, cross-country skiing, and snow tubing.

In addition, there is a network of approximately 20 km of cross-country ski trails in and around Bad Marienberg.

The apartment also serves as an ideal starting point for short or long hikes and bike rides, such as to Lake Wiesensee in Stahlhofen, the beautiful Holzbach Gorge in Seck, the Krombach Dam, or the Heisterberger Weiher.
