We have three beds and two bathrooms, spacious enough to accommodate up to 6 people. As you enter the cabin, you’ll find a comfortable bedroom with a king-size bed and a full bathroom with a shower directly across the hallway.
The entry hallway opens into the spacious living room, where vaulted ceilings and floor-to-ceiling windows invite you to take in beautiful views of the surrounding cedar trees and the glacier-fed Cascade River.
The beautifully remodeled kitchen is fully stocked and features a gas stove and full-size oven. The adjoining dining area comfortably seats six around the dining table, with additional seating for two at the kitchen island—perfect for gathering over a home-cooked meal.
Upstairs in the loft, you’ll find two queen-size beds with plenty of space to relax and spread out. The loft overlooks the main living area and offers stunning views through the floor-to-ceiling windows toward the Cascade River. For added privacy, each sleeping area can be separated with a curtain or room divider. The loft also includes a full bathroom and a comfortable study/work area with a beautiful river view. Please note that the loft is accessed by a spiral staircase that is narrower and steeper than a standard staircase.
While watching the river may easily occupy your day, there’s plenty to enjoy in the evening. Soak in a cedar wood hot tub on a lower deck, breathing fresh air, looking over the river, and stargazing at night. Spend time together playing board games, cards, or puzzles, or relax by the wood-burning stove while watching TV. High-speed Wi-Fi is also available if you need to stay connected during your stay.
We are located in Cascade River Park, an off-the-grid community. Our cabin is powered by a solar-and-battery system, with a gas generator as a backup. When the stored solar energy is depleted, the generator will automatically turn on as needed, and you will hear it running. To help conserve energy and protect the power supply for essential amenities, we do not provide a microwave or hair dryer, as these appliances use significant amounts of electricity.
One of the wonderful benefits of our off-the-grid setting is the night sky. With very little light pollution, you can step outside and enjoy incredible views of the stars. Count satellites, watch for shooting stars, and listen to the soothing sound of the Cascade River flowing nearby. Please be prepared for very little lighting when arriving at the cabin after dark. The surrounding area can be quite dark at night, which is part of the charm of this peaceful setting.
Winter Travel
Snow is possible several times throughout the winter, most commonly from January through March. Because the cabin is situated just above sea level, the roads leading to the cabin are generally flat and paved, making them accessible with a standard vehicle in typical conditions. However, a four-wheel-drive or all-wheel-drive vehicle is always helpful during winter weather.
Welcome to River Song Cabin!
