Villa was wonderful, clean and spacious, perfect for our family of 5. The BBQ outside easy to use, a real lifesaver considering it can be quite expensive eating around the resort. Keith was an exceptional host, always quick in reply to a few minor issues we encountered during the stay, and helped out where he could! Great stay overall, but just consider your travel arrangements/budgets, it can be a long walk to amenities from the villa, we found uber to be helpful and quite cheap.

Charlie Thanks for your review, much appreciated. I normally hire a car but a lot of guests are switching to Uber as you are right, it's very economic. I recommend some amazing restaurants in the villa brochure off site which produce amazing family food at really cost effective prices. I hope we can welcome you back again. Brgds Keith

We stayed a little over two weeks at Villa Folly and enjoyed our stay very much. The communication with the owner has been extraordinarily good, starting with the booking until our departure. The owner, Keith, responded immediately when we had an issue and is locally well connected, so that it got solved quickly. The check-in and check-out process is easy and convenient, handled by the reception of Vale do Lobo which is open 24/7.The villa itself is beautiful - as shown in the pictures - and a good place to relax. We really appreciated the insect screens in front of every window and the terrace doors. The villa is also great for quiet and relaxed evenings - we enjoyed watching the sunsets from the balcony and having a nightcap while listening to the “grillos” and watching the night sky.A well equipped supermarket is right at the entrance of Vale do Lobo, so no long drives to buy food or breakfast. It was nice to have restaurants in walking distance,. When we had dinner at Vale do Lobo we usually walked to the restaurants and took an Uber to get back.We can wholeheartedly recommend Villa Folly for a wonderful holiday.

Hi Julie. I am so pleased that you had a great time and that the Villa was presented so well. Vale do Lobo do a great job. I always rent a car myself and you can often shop around and find good rates, I like the convenience of it. However I am also a big fan of Uber at the villa as their prices are so competitive. Also Vale do Lobo sell Family Cards which can give you access to the Resort Bus. We look forward to welcoming you back.

Fantastic Stay

Great villa, beautifully kept, great amenities. Have stayed in VDL many times and this was certainly one of the best. Lots of space both inside and out, plenty of seating in the villa, large outdoor area with sun loungers and large table and chairs. Great to have a barbecue as well. Having had a couple of questions with the owner he came back to us with answers almost immediately. Will stay again and would wholeheartedly recommend to anyone looking for an upmarket stay in Vale Do Lobo.

We have just returned from a lovely stay at the Villa. The Villa is very well equipped, the kitchen has all you need. Wifi worked perfectly, 3 adults and a child using it with no issues. If you do not hire a car uber works great and is very reasonable. You will need to use an uber from reception to the villa as its a bit of a walk. The pool is great, ideal for little ones and adults. Our 2 yr old granddaughter spent 2 hours in it just floating with her armbands :).

July break

We have been visiting family in Vale Do Lobo for 25 years. This was the first time that we rented a property so it felt like a leap of faith. Straight away Keith's communication content and communication style provided comfort and put me at ease. The villa is a peaceful spot and had everything we needed for a family of four. We had a very comfortable stay and a great week in this excellent property.

Om værten

Vært: Mr Keith Spengler

Værtens profilbillede
Hi there, this is my family - I have two daughters, Fern and Holly, (hence the name Villa Folly) and am now blessed with three beautiful granddaughters, Ruby, Nelly and Poppy - who arrived in August 2020! It would appear that we do not do boys! We all live in Oxfordshire and try to have an annual break together at Villa Folly which is our second home. I am now retired - but lead a very busy life with golf typically at the centre of it - particularly when we are at the villa! I also do Spinning which has helped to keep me as fit as I am, particularly during lock down, when I have used Zoom to join my classes in Portugal with my local spinning and health instructor (I would highly recommend her whilst you are at the villa). It is important to us that our guests enjoy our second home as we do and to this end we endeavour to do everything possible to ensure they have a happy and relaxing holiday whilst there.

Derfor valgte værten dette overnatningssted

I fell in love with the Algarve after a friend took took me there for a weekend golfing trip. The villa is our second home. We bought it off plan and when it was built we were not disappointed. The area is beautiful and quiet yet close to all the amenities. It has been fitted to a modern standard with 3 bedrooms and 3 bathrooms and plenty of living space. My family and I think there is no where better to enjoy the weather and relax.

Derfor er dette overnatningssted unikt

I absolutely love Vale do Lobo and the location of the villa in Val das Flores. Even during the peak holiday season it is lovely and quiet. The outside area is mainly patio and pool. Outside dining is near to the kitchen and also has a great BBQ. Both upstairs bedrooms have their own private patios for you to relax in as well and from the master bedroom patio you have views across the 8th tee of the Ocean Golf Course to the sea in the distance. It is heaven.
