Note: The standard rental rate is for 2 people; each additional person (up to a maximum of 5) costs €25/day.
The house: It was built in 1970 with great attention to detail and architectural foresight. With the exception of one of the three bedrooms, everything is on the first floor; the house is largely barrier-free and fully equipped with a kitchen, utility room, dining area, and living room. It is surrounded by a 1,300 m² private garden with a covered terrace. In the garage, you’ll find two mountain bikes.
The Renovation: Even though we’ve updated many things, you’ll notice that in some places the house still “exudes” the spirit of the 1970s. “Preserve what works and is stylish” was our philosophy when renovating the house in 2022–23. We draw positive energy from this, and we hope you will too. We use the house as a vacation home ourselves when it’s not rented out.
The Location: You’ll have a panoramic view of the entire Upper Main Valley. You probably won’t find a better view in this area. The house is located on the outskirts of Lichtenfels and close to Bad Staffelstein—both small towns where you’ll find everything you need for a carefree vacation or daily life. Hiking, biking, and swimming opportunities (river swimming, several lakes) are available in the immediate vicinity or nearby.
The Area: The Upper Main Valley is a cultural region described as the “Garden of God on the Upper Main.” Here you’ll find nature and relaxation/wellness, culinary delights and sports, history and historic cities (Bamberg, Coburg)—all within walking, biking, or public transit distance. Of course, you can also drive. For more information, visit https://www.obermain-jura.de/de/ or https://www.frankentourismus.de/gebiete/obermainjura/.
