Great location in the park! Kitchen was well stocked and we enjoyed the living room. With only one bathroom and family of 5, we appreciated 2 sink areas. We either missed the instructions on how to lock the property in our messages or didn’t have them, but vacasa responded to our call quickly with clear instructions. Good selection of games too.

The place itself was nice and very convenient to Yosemite Valley, and we did have a good overall stay. Unfortunately, we specifically chose this property for the sauna, but it never worked during our visit and couldn't be fixed. We booked well in advance and had many properties to choose from, so I do wish we had known ahead of time that the sauna was not operational, as it was a major reason we selected Granite Tranquility.

Full kitchen with all you need except a grill thermometer. Posting said nintendo wii was availible. It was not there. Disappointed with 3 kids. Stay was so peacful and really tranquil.

We had an incredible stay—this location truly can’t be beat. The kitchen was exceptionally well stocked and had everything we needed, including thoughtful extras like a blender and slow cooker, which made a big difference. The games and DVDs were also a great touch and added to the overall experience.The only downside was the master mattress. It has a very thick foam topper that was quite uncomfortable and made it difficult to sleep. Replacing or adjusting that would make a big improvement.Aside from that, everything was 10/10, and we would absolutely stay here again.We stayed with 4 kids and 2 adults, and though small, it fit our needs perfectly for exploring Yosemite.

The location of this house is great if you aren't staying in the valley. It's about a 30 minute drive to the valley, but you are also closer to the Mariposa Grove and Glacier Point (also about 30 min). The neighborhood is nice and we loved sitting on the back deck and playing games in the evening. The kitchen is large and reasonably well equipped. We also enjoyed the sauna. The WiFi worked fine for us. The cons: the mattresses are very soft and flimsy. I had read this in other reviews but the listing title said "new beds" so I thought maybe this is no longer an issue, but no, they were very soft! There were also small things that the house skimped on that could be improved - only 6 towels, only two dish detergent packets although we stayed 4 nights. There is no Central AC and it was a bit warm in July, ceiling fans would have been nice. There was a box fan but it was exceptionally loud and there was only one of them. Also, warning, the grill is a bit hard to start and my husband totally singed his arm hairs when it finally did light. Lock on master bedroom door doesn't work. Overall, a decent place in a great location.

Great spot for Yosemite

This is a great spot if you're visiting yosemite. It's inside the park, pretty close to many of the popular spots within the park. The house is clean, nicely equipped and communication with Vacasa has been great.

Everything you want in Yosemite

Really clean and amazing house, looks exactly like the pictures. 30 mins to the park and very quiet and peaceful - we had a great time there.

The location is amazing. Easy to get around. House was okay One bed had a weird foam topper on it that was worn out and so you sink to the middle. The pictures of the bath show jets with no sign but there is a sign saying guests cant use the jets. I had specifically looked for a jetted tub. The suana is outside and around the house so very difficult to use easily. And the instructions warn about hurting your hand getting in. There are sumple kitchen things missing or in weird locations. The shower curtain was not wide enough for the shower. Just alot kind of off.

Thank you for your feedback. We’re glad to hear you enjoyed the location and found it easy to get around during your stay. Following your comments, the property caretaker completed a full walkthrough of the home. All kitchen items and cookware were confirmed to be present, and any items found out of place were reorganized and returned to their proper locations. The beds and foam toppers were also inspected. The topper referenced appears to be the bunk room mattress protector and foam topper combination. During inspection, the beds were found to be in good condition without any noticeable sinking or comfort concerns. The shower curtain was reviewed and confirmed to be properly sized for the tub and shower area. Because of the angled curtain rod design, there may be a small natural opening on one side, but no maintenance issues were identified. We would also like to clarify that the listing does not advertise a jetted tub. The tub may still be used as a standard bathtub; the jets are not operational. The sauna is located outside and around the home, as shown in the property layout. We appreciate your comments regarding accessibility and convenience, and this feedback has been noted for future guest communications. Thank you again for staying with us.

Great place to stay near park. It was about 20-25mins drive to the visitor center. Place is huge, ample parking, fully furnished kitchen and a lot of options for entertainment (games, DVDs etc.). On negative side: place is slightly older. Beds were giving small noise and not enough place to keep things inside bathroom. Owner was easy to contact via messaging and we got all the help we needed during our stay. Overall I would highly rate this place and stay again for our future stay.

Great Location

Home is located inside the park. The closest restaurants are 30-40 minutes away. Full service grocery stores are in Oakhurst or about 40 minutes away. The kitchen is well equipped. If you like/need firm mattresses this is not the rental for you.

Great for families • Family of 5: The bunk room was perfect for our 3 kids. Space worked well for us.Kitchen • Bring your own cooking oil, foil, Saran wrap, paper napkins, and a Kleenex box. Basic supplies weren’t stocked. • Limited pots and pans available. • Water boiler was broken, so no way to make hot water for tea/coffee. Bring a small kettle if you need one.Bathroom • Split setup: toilet sink in one section, bathtub sink in the other. • You do have to walk through the shower/tub area to get to the toilet. Manageable if the person showering leaves the door unlocked. • Nice touch: Heater fan right outside the tub kept things warm after showering. • Body soap, shampoo, and conditioner were provided.Bedrooms • No bedroom drapes, so rooms get very bright in the morning. Bring an eye mask if you’re a light sleeper.Laundry • No washer or dryer on site. Bring a bag for dirty laundry if you’re staying multiple days.Overall Decent setup for a family, just pack a few extra essentials and plan for no laundry.

Tranquility in Yosemite

Had a wonderful time at Granite Tranquility. The rental area is downstairs only, and, as a family of 4 with two pre-teen boys, it was a good size for us. A few maintenance issues popped up, and Vacasa was available and quickly assessed the issues. Property was clean and well-stocked (including a slow cooker! That was huge for us, actually.). Would be happy to stay again.

Good spot and location, but limited amenities

We loved the location and it was plenty comfortable with lots of space. But Wi-Fi was really bad and it only had one bathroom and no washer/dryer access. Should have read the listing more carefully. I would consider staying here again, but I would probably pay a bit more for some of the features above.

Great Stay at the Lodge

The entire house is clean, spacious and nicely renovated. Locates in Yosemite West which is not as crowded as in the Yosemite Valley but still close to the attractions. Only 20 minutes drive to Tunnel view, so we were able to see the sunset at the lookout and came back before it got completely dark. There was a couple of hours of power outrage in the whole village at the last night of our stay. Oher than that, everything else worked great.

Nice place to stay on our first trip to Yosemite Valley. The proximity eliminates the stress of trying to get through the park gates early in the morning. The unit was clean, well stocked, and great views. The WiFi was very reliable, which is big because cell service there is almost non existent. Very quiet at night so you can get good rest and recharge for the next day. Some improvements:1.) The beds weren’t awful but they weren’t great either. One was pretty firm & the other really soft. So soft that you sink into it. The bunk beds creak really loud so if you have kids that move around a lot at night it may keep you awake. 2.) Titled as home but just 1st floor (description does say that par. What it doesn’t say is that someone (maybe the host?) may be onsite while you are there. On arrival it was just us. The next evening we saw an extra vehicle when we returned & heard someone moving around upstairs. It was weird. We messaged the management company if they were going to be there for the duration of our stay. They said they weren’t sure since they don’t manage the upstairs unit. Not a huge deal because we were gone most the day. They were usually pretty quiet. Even if management doesn’t have any details they should know it can be occupied at any time and should be a disclaimer on the listing.3.) Local outage on arrival (2 hrs). WiFi also out so couldn't contact host for details. It’s a mountain we understand. Landline or satellite phone in the unit would be ideal.

Overall the place was clean and located fairly close to the west end of the park. Gaining access to the property was smooth, but the WiFi network given was wrong, the fireplace didn’t work, the grill wouldn’t light without using a lighter to ignite it, the thermostat was very confusing initially and we couldn’t get the heat to come on, and upon departure there was no dumpster to put our trash into. The house also lacked most amenities. No cooking oil or aluminum for the grill, no tissues, 1-ply toilet paper was pretty rough. Tub didn’t drain well, no access to washer/dryer, all closet/pantry doors were locked. We were comfortable and safe and it did the job, but would not stay at this property again.

Not worth the prive

The 2 bedroom home was clean and presentable, but the kitchen is not stocked with anything. If you rent this place and plan to cook, make sure to bring everything (ie: oil, salt) because there was nothing to use. The bunk beds worked out well for the kids. The queen bed in the second bedroom is very poor and offers no support. My husband and I are not large people and we were both sinking into the middle multiple times each night. This home is not worth the price we paid
