Beautiful home, right on the ocean front. The adults and the kids loved this place. We would get up every morning fix breakfast and pack up for the beach. The kids totally loved the fuss ball downstairs. We also celebrated my youngest granddaughter's 3rd Birthday! Lots of room, comfy bedding. Everyone with their own bedroom. We definitely consider staying here again!

Very good except the path around the back past the garbage cans to the pool needs the steps swept and cleaned. One tends to track dirt from the path. The garage could be better organized. Overall, a pretty good place! Beautiful view and good location.

Wonderful Family Gathering

Our family had an amazing time at this beautiful home right on the beach. The accommodations, the pool, and easy access to the beach were perfect.

The house is absolutely beautiful! Decor and furnishings are top notch! We all took advantage of watching the sunrise and sunset on the balcony. Proximity to the beach is fantastic - just s short walk. The cleaning service could have done a better job. They didn’t change sheets in one of the bedrooms so we had to do laundry on the first night. Some bugs in corners and sand left in a few areas. My main complaint is the parking pass and guest pass situation. We had to pay for guest passes for each car (4) and any guests that came to see us, including caterers. Parking passes should be included for the price we paid to stay for one week. Be sure you go to house before purchasing pool noodles, beach chairs, beach umbrellas and sandcastle building supplies. Many items have been left by other guests in the garage/lower level storage area.

Ideal setting

A beautiful home with a heated pool, just steps from a lovely beach, Iron Clad 10 was the perfect setting for our three-generation family vacation.

Great house - great location

The upper level deck has one of the best ocean views in HHI - we had 11 adults and 4 kids (we brought a air mattress) - plenty of rooms and every one was comfortable - we'll stay here again

Iron Clad 2024

My husband and myself and our three children’s family thoroughly enjoyed our stay. The house was clean, well furnished and the beds were comfortable. It was a lovely family vacation with wonderful memories!!

Perfect beach location

This was a perfect house, perfect location, celebrating a family members 90th bday. It accommodated a family ranging in age from 1 year to 90! Being on the beach made our stay in HH even better than all the other times we've been here. Photos on line defined the house perfectly.

Unforgettable Family Trip

The moment you walk in the door you realize that you never want to leave. The location of the home and the step out to the beach is amazing. Had a great time 4 adults and 4 kids. It would be nice to have 2 suites and blinds to close at night during the Turtle nesting season so you don’t feel like you will disturb the turtles. Definitely a unforgettable family trip🏝️

Fantastic!!!

We have taken several family vacations with our kids and grandkids and have been blessed to have been able to stay in some fabulous houses and at some wonderful locations. I think my sons text to me says it all - "Best family vacation ever for us". This house is not only first class, but the layout is perfect for a multi-family vacation. Cannot say enough good things.

One of our Favorites

We have been vacationing at Hilton Head for many years and would say this was one of our favorite houses. The layout was great and the views were spectacular! Kitchen was well equipped. The only thing that would have made our stay better would be the use of the elevator to take luggage, groceries, etc. up three flights of stairs. We did not have access to the elevator even though one was there.

A beautiful spring get away.

We were lucky to have stayed at this beautiful beachside home for a few days. The house was great, and clean, and had a well outfitted kitchen for all our cooking and enjoying needs. The fabulous views of the ocean are seen from many of the bedrooms and exceptional from the living spaces. The area had so many activities we didn't nearly have enough time to try all we wanted to. We'll hopefully be back!

We have been renting beach houses on the ocean for a few years, and this was hands down the best ever. The owner was fabulous to work with. Any questions we had, she got back to us immediately while being very accommodating and kind. The house layout, decorating, and accommodations were top notch. Beautiful views of the ocean from the kitchen, dining, from several of the bedrooms. We had 8 children ranging in age from 11 mo to 9 years old and they were thrilled with this house, pool, and location to the beach. The parents were thrilled because even if they had little ones that they had to watch inside, they could easily watch all activity on the beach and participate while everyone in the pool. As grandparents we were thrilled because we could be part of all the action. The pool was a good size and heated nicely so that we could enjoy morning, noon, and night which was a game changer for the kids. They loved, loved the pool. We went in late March / early April so they ocean water was too cold to swim in; however, the kids enjoyed anyways running back and forth into it. The beach was beautiful and not very crowded allowing lots of games without bothering anyone. Overall, beautiful house, wonderful pool, fabulous accommodations, and exceptional nice owner to work with. Would highly recommend this home to anyone looking for a place to stay.

Best Location

Just left 10 Iron Clad after a week with family. Weather was not good but we had a fun week being together. I recommend a new dishwasher and all new pots and pans. One of the downstairs king beds was very uncomfortable. Pool needed a major cleaning. The walk from the house to the beach was so easy and we loved that! Rocking chairs on back porch were great too! Views were awesome and dolphins greeted us each morning.

Thank you for your review! I am glad that you enjoyed the house and sorry the weather did not cooperate. I apologize for the pots and pans. The last time we were there in the spring we had purchased extra pots and pans but clearly some have not made it through the rental season. Also, the dishwasher is also not our favorite, but since it is custom fit for our cabinets, we are having a hard time finding a dishwasher that is not on back order. Thanks again for staying at our home!

Review

The house was lovely and an excellent location. Much to our surprise the garage fridge was broken therefore we lost lots of food such as fresh shrimp, chicken and ground meat. Although it was not advertised the house had an elevator which would have been perfect for my mother who suffers from COPD but it was also inoperable.

Thank you for taking the time to review our home. I am sorry to hear the garage fridge was not working for you. We have had several guests stay after your stay and no one has informed us the garage fridge is not working. I am surprised the two additional full-sized refrigerators inside the house were not able to accommodate your food. We do not advertise the elevator on VRBO. We no longer allow guests to utilize the elevator as prior guests have misused the elevator creating dangerous situations.

Spectacular view and lovely, comfortable home!

The views from this property were sweeping and stunning. Interior was tastefully decorated. There was plenty of space for a large family, comfortable seating and good flow, and sound-proofing between floors was good (we had an infant and 3 yo with us). Location was excellent, on an uncrowded stretch of beach, but also very close to grocery stores and other necessities. We were simultaneously "away from it all" but close to essentials. Internet and TV service worked well. Wish we could have connected to Sonos system (perhaps we needed more information?), and we've learned to bring some of our own kitchen essentials (coffee grinder, rubber scraper/spatula, lettuce spinner), but it was definitely an excellent home for a family gathering and we will select it again.

A Treasure of a Home for Family Traditions

This was our first visit to HHI and although we were unsure of what to expect with the location and beach, this home ended up being by far the most wonderful we’ve ever stayed and for a multitude of reasons. Firstly, I have to say we have been traveling with VRBO for many years and this was the first time we didn’t feel like we just booked a house, but were being hosted warmly in a HOME by it’s thoughtful owner. Kimberly was immediately available from the moment of our arrival through our last day and not only was her communication phenomenal— but we all felt how deeply she cared about our experience in the home as a whole. I have never had a stay experience quite like it. The home itself was perfection: the beds were comfortable, the lay out was incredible, the house was immaculately cleaned, rocking chairs on the upper balcony were an awesome touch, the view from upstairs living room is unparalleled, oversized chair napping area: wow, the location ended up being a gem— far enough away from the busier/more crowded parts of the beach so each day we basically had it to ourselves— it was simply was amazing. The only thing I would note, as we were unaware of the layout, was that the bunk room (with the queen bottom) is only accessible by passing through another bed room— there is no private way in/out. For a family with younger children—those two rooms would’ve been perfect! Thank you Kim from the bottom of our hearts for such a beautiful and memorable stay in your lovely home!
