To soveværelser plus Den, Tall Timbers Cottage er hyggeligt at sove 8. Du vil finde et pletfrit enkelt niveau hjem på tværs af gaden fra Potomac-floden med en servitut til havnefronten. Mindre end 2 timer fra DC er denne ejendom perfekt til en hurtig væk. Fuldt renoveret med en fantastisk udsigt til skoven og solnedgange over Potomac-floden. Vi elsker at se nattelysene i Virginia og overflod af dyreliv. Veluddannede høflige kæledyr er velkomne med forudgående skriftlig godkendelse.

Moderne og året rundt er denne tilbagetog udstyret med Smart TV, kabel, Netflix, Wi-Fi, dockingstationer samt sengetøj og andre ting, du måtte forvente i et veludstyret hjem, herunder cykler, puslespil og Keurig-kaffe maker.

To af de tre soveværelser er udstyret med komfortable queensize-senge, det tredje er indrettet som et hule med pejs og liggende sofa (dobbelt). Sovesofaen i stuen trækker også ud til et behageligt sted at sove.

Et vandadgangsgreb løber fra vores hoveddør til Potomac-flodskottet. Centralvarmen og central AC er altid behagelige. Derudover er der en udendørs ildgrube til de to elektriske pejse. Alle vinduer er afskærmet og åbne, hvis du vil føle brisen fra floden og lytte til fuglesang om foråret.

Fiskeri og krabber efter vores berømte Maryland Blue Crabs er en populær aktivitet. Tall Timbers Private Beach Club ligger desuden en kort gåtur fra huset. Landsbyen Tall Timbers og Marina er begge en nem gåtur.

Strande, dokker, fyrtårn og bro ved Piney Point og St. George's Island er en kort køretur. Vi er glade for at hjælpe dig med at booke fiskerecharter eller sejle i Potomac med en kvalificeret vandmand. Beliggende femten miles i bil fra Historic St. Mary's City (Marylands Colonial Capitol dateres til 1634) vi er kun to timer fra District of Columbia.

Tall Timbers, samfundet, er faktisk en glemt skat i Maryland, hvor tiden står stille. Det består af to rækker med huse beliggende mellem Potomac-floden og tæt bindingsværksskov. We enjoyed our stay! Our Grandkids (2) joined us too. Unfortunately we had to leave early to attend a funeral. We would absolutely consider this property for any future stays in the area.

Tall Timbers Cottage

This was our second stay to visit family nearby for our annual 4th of July gathering. The cottage is clean, cozy, and comfortable. The owners are fantastic communicators and made sure we had everything we needed. We won’t hesitate to stay again in the future.

Family Gathering

This is a wonderful special place Tall Timbers, this house was lovely and perfect for our visit. The Lindley’s were very helpful and quickly responded to any communications. Wonderful place, if you have the chance to get away to this is a great place to stay.

Relaxing getaway!

Excellent experience from start to finish. Owner was communicative, welcoming and very helpful. Property in a very quiet neighborhood with amazing views of the Potomac River right across the street from the house (you can walk over and stand by river to see gorgeous views especially at sunset). Property is as described. Very clean, fully equipped kitchen, linens and towels provided. Lovely cottage - perfect size for our family of four plus our dog.

A lovely small home on a quiet street in a quiet village. The layout of the house is very comfortable, the property was very clean and the hosts, Lolly and Lindley, very welcoming and helpful. It also has one of the best equipped kitchens I’ve encountered via VRBO. We came with our dog who is just finishing a recovery from surgery and neighborhood was perfect for taking her on longer walks.

We used the house minimally for sleeping overnight during a family reunion trip and it was great for that purpose. Everything was immaculately clean and organized. The owner communicated with us about everything we needed to know and was so attentive to addressing anything we had a hard time with quickly. Rob and Lolly were so friendly and welcoming. Pros:- amazing books and cds collection as well as board games. - plenty of room to store shoes. - everything is stocked. There’s plenty of pot, pans, sponges, soap, detergents for all machines, toilet paper, shampoos, …. Etc. Cons:- when used at maximum capacity storage can feel a bit limited. We were 6 adults and 2 kids, and we mostly had to keep our stuff in our luggage the entire time. - the outdoor area is gorgeous but there’s a lot of mosquitoes because of the many trees.

Relaxing cottage stay

We had a wonderful experience and stay at this cute little cottage. Hosts were amazing as well. Cottage has everything you need. Cute decor, plenty of cookware, towels, linens, TV with streaming and comfortable couch. Communication with host was outstanding and easy check-in and check-out. Will definitely stay here again and strongly recommend to others as a place to stay in the area.

Weekend getaway

We had some hiccups with a storm taking out the power (and subsequently water, cable/internet) for the first 24 hours of our stay. The property manager kept us updated and helped by providing water. Frustrating and inconvenient situation, but not at fault of the host or property managment!As for the house, it was cozy with adequate space for our family of 4 and 2 dogs. It was well equipped and had everyrhing we needed and was situated in a great little neighborhood on the Potomac. We were in town for a swim meet, but would definitely come back for a quiet getaway to rest, relax and enjoy all the area has to offer.

Quaint cottage in a charming community

The property amenities are outstanding - the kitchen and bath are well stocked, the grounds are lovely with a terrific grill, the beds are comfortable, and the cottage is very clean and orderly. The neighborhood is quiet and friendly. We all had an incredible time.

Lovely cottage

We found this property to be a lovely, comfortable cottage with a kitchen fully stocked with all the kitchenware and household supplies that we needed for our stay. The owners are very professional and quickly responded to any questions we had. The area is quiet and close to the water and I would highly recommend this property if you are looking to stay in the Southern Maryland area.

Very nice property. Beautiful area.

We spent two nights with kids. Great for social distancing. Marina was great too. The beach is not for swimming with kids, but Point Lookout is about 40 minutes drive and family friendly.

Lovely Home and Location

We thoroughly enjoyed our stay in Tall Timbers. The home was lovely and had everything we needed. The shower is beautiful. The kitchen is set up for some serious cooking. We would love to stay again when we visit our old home.

Lovely little cottage

This was a wonderful home for a relaxing weekend with our family. We were looking for something close to the Naval base as my son was in town on a detachment. This was close and so relaxing. Lovely property, friendly neighbors and a comfortable, tidy home. We got there late and decided to add a day last minute and owners were very accommodating. Thank you for the lovely weekend with my kids!

Everything we needed!

Perfect from start to finish. Check-in and check-out seamless. Owners were accessible and so helpful. The home is situated in a cozy, peaceful setting near the river. It is well stocked with games, books, kitchen items, etc, very clean, and comfortable. Lolly and Lindley provided us with restaurant and other recommendations that were spot on. Thank you!

Peaceful living and amazing sunsets

My son and I took a mom-and-son trip before he enlists in the Navy and found this gem in our former home area of Southern Maryland. The home was spotless, attractive, and quiet. The owners were very responsive and super nice. The sunset over the water was stunning! My son had a blast at the beach. The neighborhood is quiet and friendly, the kids giggling running home from the beach was perfect. It was also very nice to have 2 bedrooms and access to a washer and dryer at this point in our trip. I would love to bring my husband up there the next time!

Great Time!

My husband and I stayed for four nights in September. We loved the house and the setting, seeing a peak of the Potomac River and the beautiful sunsets at night. It was relaxing and quiet. The potential for the hurricane was looming in a few days making it cloudy and humid, but the house was comfortably cool. It only rained at night! While we were there we explored St. Mary's City which we enjoyed, lunch at the college cafeteria was a feast, Leonardtown had a great used bookstore that we enjoyed and an interesting antique store. A visit to the Piney Point lighthouse was interesting as well. We found the house well stocked for cooking. We took our small outdoor table top grill with us so we enjoyed several grilled meals. A Weis grocery store was a few miles away with a busy liquor store next door. The last night we ate at the marina which was fun. Friendly staff. We enjoyed our stay immensely and would recommend it highly.

It was just what we were looking for.

The home was nestled in the tall trees yet near the water. The kitchen was well stocked and we fixed several meals there. Our host was very helpful about the area. The house was clean and comfortable.

Tall Timbers is a sleepy waterfront community where people pass slow summer days. Huge rockfish are caught in the creeks and crabs from set traps . The adventures are as stunning in the winter, as they are during the summer.
There are more places to paddle than you will have time available to visit. Also, we enjoy exploring:

During the winter the community is magical and can be a winter wonderland. Fall colors are magnificent, especially when you realize you are not the one to rake the leaves. Just watch them fall. Be on the lookout for last minute deep discounts on midweek - midwinter visits.

The National Potomac Heritage Scenic Trail is at our front door, there is a wide variety of wildlife and beautiful vistas of Herring Creek and the Potomac River can be seen along this trail. Experienced paddlers may continue onto the open waters of the Potomac River.

Bird watchers may love in love with the creeks.

Explore the many nearby historic parks such Colonial St. Mary's City, Light Houses at Point Look Out and Piney Point, the Maritime Museums at Soloman's Island and Piney Point. Chose from several wonderful local watering holes with fabulous views and docks.

Toast to First Friday wine tasting at local wineries.
