Acquired in 2021 as the oldest listed half-timbered house in the village; completely gutted and restored in phases using natural building materials (clay, straw, sand, reeds, various types of stone, slaked lime, etc.). A combination of rustic and modern design elements ensures a very comfortable stay. By removing walls and exposing the exposed timber framing, interconnected living spaces were created.
Open and bright, flooded with light from numerous windows, the hallway, kitchen, dining, and living areas blend seamlessly. The bathroom is spacious—equipped with a walk-in shower, large sink, toilet, and bidet. One bedroom and an optional bedroom/living area currently accommodate 4–5 people. (The upper floor is under construction)
Cozy warmth during the cooler months is provided by wall and floor heating. Behind and above the house is a large natural garden meadow with a view of the castles; there are places to lie down and sit. Right on your doorstep are forests, meadows, rocks, lakes, streams, and springs, as well as weirs and dams; the night sky is a paradise of stars—pure nature in the immediate vicinity. The cross-border Palatinate Forest–Northern Vosges Biosphere Reserve is a fabulous natural paradise.
Take a look—we also have the “Vacation Gallery Apartment in the Historic Building” located in the neighboring house.
