Home Away From Home

Firstly, the location is superb and in particular the short distance between there and Disney World. Secondly, the home is well kept and we loved the contemporary decor. It’s looks the same or even better as shown online. It had all of the required cooking utensils as well as the flatware, etc. This home would definitely be my first choice on future visits to Orlando.

Amazing stay!

Absolutely amazing stay at this beautiful homely villa! Perfect location to all the Disney and universal parks, literally a 7 minute drive to animal kingdoms car park! The Perfect Vacation Home

My family and friends absolutely loved this home. It had everything you could possibly need and more. My 8 year old son even said he felt at home and we were all so sad to leave. The pool was perfect, and the game room was our nightly entertainment. Very clean and we loved the open floor plan for the kitchen and living room area. Highly recommend and we can’t wait to plan our next return!

Perfect location!

The location is minutes away from Disney, off 192. The home was well appointed, especially with kitchen wares, for those wanting to cook while staying. Nice neighborhood. Great size for families. There was an unexpected plumbing issue on the last day, but the owner worked quickly to resolve the concern, even while away herself. We definitely would consider the home again if in the area!

Fun house, just right for our family

This house is about 12 minutes from Animal Kingdom, and 15 from the other Disney parks in traffic. It is a little out of the way as far as stores and things, but it’s a nice neighborhood. It was just right for our family of 7, with plenty of dishes and eating spots. It was a little annoying that we had to go buy hand soap for our stay since we were only provided with a hotel-size bar for each bathroom.

A lovely home with nice features. The owners are hands on and wonderful to deal with. Only one negative and that was the less than warm pool. We paid for heat but we think the heat should be closer to 80. It was cold getting in and we stayed cold while swimming. As a result, the pool was not used even by our grandchildren.

Wonderful experience

Amazing experience renting this home. It was easy from the first inquiry right to our departure, and It had everything we needed. My husband and I have been to this area many times, but this was the first time renting this place. My adult family of 6 found this house to be comfortable, very clean, well cared for, roomy and in a quiet neighborhood. It had every convenience we needed and very well stocked with appliances and frills. The kitchen was fully stocked with all the things if you wanted to cook. We took this trip to celebrate my husband’s 60th birthday, our 40th anniversary and a Disney family vacation. It was only a few minutes from the Disney parks. The owner, Joanna, was very easy to contact and answered all questions very quickly. We could not have asked for a better host or accommodations. The pool and game room were great additions too! Great experience, lovely home, furnished beautifully and stocked well! We would definitely book this place again!

Perfect villa in the perfect location for visiting Disney Parks

We were really pleased with the villa and its location. Ten minutes from the parks and 5 minutes from a huge range of shops and restaurants. Emerald Island Resort was idyllic. A quiet, tranquil space to relax after a busy day at the parks. Although we had a quick look at the clubhouse, gym, mini golf and resort pool which all looked great, we didn’t actually use them as we found the large, private pool at the villa was more convenient. The villa was spacious and spotlessly clean. Bed in the main bedroom was so comfortable that we always had a good night’s sleep. Our 8 and 11 year old children loved the themed bedrooms, the games room and the pool. The pool was beautiful and pool toys were provided. There was a plentiful supply of towels and I was delighted to find hair dryers and hair straighteners provided. Visiting from the UK, I was expecting to have to purchase these at the correct voltage when we arrived but there was no need. Communication from the owners was great and they also gave us clear instructions of the quickest route to the Disney Parks avoiding the 192 which can sometimes get congested. Having visited during a heatwave, we found visiting a park in the morning, returning to the villa to cool off in the pool during the afternoon and then returning to the parks in early evening worked well for us which we were able to as the Villa is located so conveniently. The Villa was a perfect base for visiting Disney, Universal, Vineland Premium Outlets and Clearwater.

Beautiful Disney Themed House

My 12 and 14 year old kids stayed with me at this property from Dec. 18 to 24, 2022. We went to Disney World from the 19th to 23rd. Our 6 night stay was almost $ 500 less, total, than a 6 night stay at the mid-range Disney Coronado Springs Resort, which we stayed at 5 years earlier. I am convinced now, that renting a house, is a better option, financially, and overall, than staying at a Disney Resort. With this house, each of my kids had a room of their own, and I had a room of my own, with a kid’s bedroom to spare. Having all that private space made the the trip so much better. The closest Disney Park is Animal Kingdom. Beware of Hwy 192 when you exit World Drive coming from the north. It is always jammed sometime after 5 pm, into the late night hours. 192 is the only way to get to the house from the Disney Parks. The house is a very reasonable distance to the parks, and we came home for almost every dinner, which is a great break from the hustle and bustle of the parks (we went back for some late night rides—the late night rides, and the park, are much less crowded, and the parks are stunning at night). The house has a great Disney theme. The house was also very clean. The owners are so organized, that they have labeled all the switches, so you know what turns on what, which is super convenient. I didn’t really understand why the air-conditioning could not be turned lower than 73, but, being winter, this wasn’t an issue keeping the house cool. My kids and I really enjoyed the neighborhood! The community pool is heated, and open until 10 pm. My kids and I went to the pool almost every evening. There is also a hot-tub and open bar at the pool, and the atmosphere is really chill. The house has a little in-ground pool in the back, covered with a screen porch. My kids jumped in this briefly on the first day, but we all agreed, the neighborhood pool was the choice. The streets are narrow, houses close together next to each other, and the backyards are small. I suppose this is the modern trend in home-building. Behind the house is a beautiful forested area that has trail in it, which my kids and I explored. This backyard forest gave the house a nice, private, feel. The owners gave me their cell number on the day of check in, which was nice. I had a few questions and texted them, and they answered, which was really cool.

Great Disney week!

They were very kind and responsive with booking changes on my end. This property was perfect for our four kids with the pool, game room and Disney style kids bedrooms! There was plenty of room when my in-laws came to stay with us as well. The beds weren’t the softest but everything was nice and clean, the pool was heated(Per our request), the neighborhood was quiet and we had everything we needed. I would rent this vacation home again.

Absolute gem!

We have been renting from vrbo in Orlando Florida yearly for the last 8 years. As a traveler there are things that are important: proximity to the parks, proximity to shopping, neighborhood safety-very secure and safe, renters who are available if needed, a home that has what you need, a warm pool (I recommend pool heat as it was worth it) and NO Bugs in the home! These are small things you may take for granted, but in our experience it comes up! The greatest perk is sitting by the pool drinking coffee every morning and watching nature in the little nature area on the other side of the lanai. It’s amazing! We saw an armadillo, a raccoon, 2 hot air balloons went by, little chameleons (there all over in Florida), amazing birds etc. The best! Oh and the keurig does work. I guess you just have to know how to operate one. This is a home we will rent from again next year easily. Every year we say we found the home to rent, but this year we have absolutely found the home. Joanna is a great renter and answered our questions. Thank you for the opportunity to rent from you. Lovely home!

Enjoyed our stay but note ran out of toilet paper in main bathroom on Thursday. Kuerig coffee maker did not work. TV in front bedroom did not work. You may want to address these issues before rented again. Not pleased about the lack of toilet paper.

We are the Allen Family. We got into the home-rental business after discovering that our family preferred a comfortable, homey space to relax in rather than eating take-out perched on the edge of hotel beds.

Food allergies made dining out hard, and we wanted a solution that would let us travel comfortably. One vacation was all it took: We cooked allergy-free family dinners, chatted late into the night, and watched the kids enjoy tucking away into their rooms for some quiet reading time. We loved it so much, that we decided we’d never squeeze into a crowded hotel room again.

We loved the resort and the proximity to shopping, restaurants, and other attractions. The location in Emerald Island is what attracted us to this home. Emerald Island is a beautiful resort so close to shopping, restaurants, and of course Disney.

The spacious family room is what we enjoy the most about this home. There is room to stretch out and relax, converse about the day, or have a quick snack with the family. The pool is an added bonus. Right off the family room door we can enjoy the pool anytime without crowds. The conservation area in the back affords a lot of privacy while in the pool.
