Klassisk Chappy Beach House, stor udsigt over vandet, nær vandet

Du har hørt om placering, ikke? Hvis du leder efter et sødt, rent sted at feriere på Chappy nær vandet, er det her. Kun en håndfuld hjem kan gøre krav på udsigt og nærhed til Katama Bay som vores. Du kan også se havet over sydstranden. Bare gå ned ad gården og med et par ekstra trin er du i bugten. Fugle kommer og går hele dagen fra tidevandsdammen foran huset. Skyggefuld siddeområde, dæk, solnedgange over vinmarken. Efter en dag på stranden, glemmer du aldrig at tage et udendørs brusebad i eftermiddagssolen. Bare rolig, siderne er lukket for privatlivets fred. Børn elsker det her, så tæt på stranden. Der er uendelig mulighed for at lege i tidevandstrømmen og dammen og kigge efter dyreliv. Sandet på stranden foran er fantastisk at lege i eller tilbringe en stille eftermiddag væk fra det hele. Fisker vil også sætte pris på det oplyste udendørs filetbord. Huset er perfekt placeret til eftermiddagssol og en kølig brise fra havet. Solnedgange er smukke lige fra dækket og spisestuen. Køkkenet blev opdateret i 2015. Badeværelset blev opdateret i 2017. Spørg om mulig brug af paddle boards og cykler. Du er velkommen til at kontakte mig med spørgsmål eller før du anmoder om en reservation. Sommerlejere, der booker tidligt, kan få mig til at arrangere auto-reservationer med dampskib !!!

What a special property! Well maintained with darling Chappy/Vineyard details throughout, comfortable beds and all the essentials. The owner is a great communicator and we were so glad to be able to take advantage of the bikes and easy bay access. Despite some weather limiting our beach days it was a delightful vacation at a gem of a house.

Relax on Chappy

The house had everything we needed. Jeff was great to work with. View is spectacular and I enjoyed having my coffee on the front deck and watching the water. We explored Chappy and took Chappy ferry to Edgartown and explored much of MV. If you are looking for peace and quiet and no crowds, Chappy is perfection. And downtown Edgartown is a short 2 min ferry ride away for restaurants and shopping. We loved our week at this home and reading and looking at pictures of the history of the home and the island. The outdoor shower is something I will miss…being able to shower while looking at Katama Bay is truly special.

Beautiful Views, Cozy Stay

We have been coming to MV for many years and have recently found a sincere love for Chappaquiddick. We stayed at Jeffrey's home for the first time and had an absolutely amazing week. The listing truly undersells the view. The first place we experienced when we arrived to Jeffrey's home was his deck. Before even going into the house, we enjoyed the expansive views of Katama Bay. When we went inside, the excitement continued to grow. The home is charming and cozy, perfect for us and our 2 girls. We also thoroughly enjoyed the outdoor shower. We had all the conveniences we needed. Jeffrey was extremely responsive when we had questions and was able to set us up with someone when we needed to procure a gas can to get gas from the big island for our dinghy as the fuel dock had not yet opened for the season. The location was also perfect - a short walk to Wasque, a quick bicycle ride to Mytoi, and another quick bicycle ride to the ferry. We were also able to get a dock slip at the marina with assistance of some welcoming and friendly locals. We absolutely loved everything about our stay and look forward to coming back for many years to come. Unfortunately, one of our girls will not be joining as we made this trip her best week ever and a victory lap on a life so well lived. She couldn't have asked for a better spot to watch sunset, relax in the sun listening to the Eastern Towhees and evening Whipporwhills, and enjoy morning walks (or bicycle scoots) to the local trails.

Great Stay!

We had a wonderful stay at Jeff's home - the view, ocean breeze, and sound of waves crashing in the distance was enough that we never wanted to leave. We loved the ability to drive literally 5 minutes down the road to Wasque Point (a beautiful ocean beach), or to walk 3 minutes down the path in front of the lawn to Katama Bay and search for snails or shells with our 4-year-old in the bathtub-like water. If you are looking for a serene, naturally beautiful place to vacation with family and never leave, this house is perfect. Jeff was very helpful and communicative. The house is well appointed and matches the listing - we found everything we needed and were charmed by the décor and books on Chappy/the Vineyard.

Great location on Chappy

We couldn’t have asked for a better location. We have young kids and rented a bunch of baby and kid supplies from MV Baby but the kayaks and crayons and kids books were enjoyed by our kids. The rooms and beds worked well for us. Easily walk to pond/bay beach or go to secluded beautiful Chappy beaches. Can’t say enough about how great Jeff was. House was well appointed, beds comfortable and everything well stocked. Thank you!!

Chappy cottage

We love our stay here. The house is charming. Very comfortable for a family of five and fully equip. The view is outstanding. Such a peaceful spot and great for exploring Chappy and Edgartown.

The Perfect Chappy Home

Couldn’t have asked for a better experience! The photos do not do this house justice. The view is unbelievable and the home was beautiful. Jeff was a great host, very communicative and quick to respond to questions. I’m hopeful we’ll be able to return to this house again.

Awesome stay

We spent a week here in May and we had the best time. The location is fantastic, right by the beach. The view on Katama Bay is something that we enjoyed every day. The house is well equipped. The kitchen had everything we needed, and there were plenty of trash bags, toilet paper, paper towels, etc. The beach is 3 minutes away from the house on a semi-private path. We took full advantage of the kayak and standup paddleboard. We'll be back.

Perfect getaway with stunning views

Had a fantastic week despite the weather not cooperating at all. The house is as pictured but the view and proximity the beach as well as to wasque preserve are fantastic. Great location for runners and for peace and quiet. WiFi works well and my husband appreciated the Jaws dvds. We’ll be back!

Amazing Stay

Delighted

We’ve stayed on Chappy a couple of dozen times. We absolutely loved this house and location. The owners were always accessible and very helpful. Some people would insist on a second bathroom, but with the outdoor shower, it would never be a problem, even with a larger group.

Quaint with amazing view

Not spacious or luxurious but the view more than made up for it. Perfect for our family of 3 teens and dog. Jeff was a very gracious host.

Lovely cottage on Katama Bay

Sweet cottage with a beautiful view of the bay and ocean, perfect for families, surrounded by wildlife. Birds singing morning and evening. BBQ on the deck, kayak included for paddling to Chappy Beach. Looking forward to returning next June when the island is quiet.

Like Coming Home

I cannot day enough about our stay here. The house is perfect. It’s filled with antiques and books about the region. Mr. Hill was wonderfully helpful and gave us great recommendations for what to see and where to eat. The kitchen is stocked with most anything you could need to cook full meals for the family, and there is really nothing better than grilling on the deck with that view. Check in was a breeze; we got settled in right away and walked down to the beach. It’s such a quiet, peaceful place, but just a short drive from Edgartown. The house lends itself to multiple styles of vacation. If you want to spend the days out exploring everything the Vineyard has to offer, this is a great home base. Personally, we enjoyed many days relaxing on the property, wading at the beach and reading or playing some of the games provided. It’s paradise.

Chappy House

The rental was as advertised, great property in a beautiful location. Jeffrey was really great to work with. He made sure we were all set prior to our arrival, even suggesting places to eat and visit. He checked in multiple times to make sure things were going well and if we needed anything. The house met all our needs. Jeffrey is a great owner/landlord. Very much appreciate his concern for our happiness and enjoyment on Chappy.

Gorgeous!

My husband and I enjoyed Jeffrey's home enormously. The setting was absolutely lovely, quiet, and surrounded by spectacular views of nature. Jeffrey was available and very helpful. The house was charming and comfortable. We would certainly return!

My folks built the home when I was a toddler. Now it's time for me to take over, and share it with more people who love the island. In the last few years I've made many updates and improvements.

Everything is in place for you to have a great vacation on Chappy. With just one bathroom you get a great value compared with homes of a similar location. We routinely have another family visit while we are vacationing, and it's no trouble at all. The outdoor shower makes it easy, so it's as if there is another bathroom. Comparable homes with a second bathroom are renting at much higher prices. I call our's the best deal you can find on the water!

Back in the early 70s my dad brought reclaimed wood from a barn in central NY and hand planed the lumber that frames the downstairs interior. Furnished with antiques and modern amenities. It's a short walk down to our semi-private beach on the bay. Unlimited high speed wifi and Cable from Comcast is included!!
