We couldn’t have asked for a nicer place to stay. The condo is lovely, comfortable, and an extremely convenient location. Mary(the owner) is kind and thoughtful. It was a wonderful place for my family of 4 (parents 2 grown teenagers) to stay and enjoy our vacation in paradise. We plan to stay here again when we return to Maui, and would recommend this wonderful property to anyone!

Great Place

It is an amazing place to stay. The property is clean and comfortable located on the beach. Close to all of the tourist destinations but laid back so you can enjoy the beauty without being in a crowd. It is close to west maui and the road to Hana. Would definitely recommend this property.

Absolutely wonderful!!

We loved the condo and the location. Close enough to most things but also far enough for it to be nice and quiet. Snorkeling right at the condo ocean area is fabulous cause we got to swim with turtles. We definitely recommend this place and this owner. She was great keeping in touch and the condo had everything we needed.

19 days in paradise!

We had a wonderful stay in Maalaea. Nineteen days of perfect weather. Not one rainy day! This condo was everything the owner said it was. Newly updated, great location and had everything we needed. The owner was very easy to work with and was very attentive with any questions we had. This is our third stay in this complex and we love it. The condo complex is very quiet and laid back. We walked the lovely beach every day and saw lots of green sea turtles! Perfect stay and we will be back!

Very attentive owner! She exceeded our expectations!

If you're looking for an owner who's quick to reply to your inquiry, send additional photos, answer your questions, or address your rental needs then you need look no further. Mary is all that and more. She was the only owner willing to work with our budget and adjust her rental rate for our extended stay. If we ever get the chance to return to Maui we'll be sure to stay here! Thanks again Mary for your kindness!!

Three adults and add one 12 year-old son and it all equaled a great stay at Mary's condo. We had a lovely partial ocean view that was close enough to listen to the ocean at night. The balcony overlooks the swimming pool and ocean with a few chairs and a small table. Perfect for morning coffee to relax or watch our family swim in the pool. This unit is on the second floor. We carried our carry-on luggage up the stairs to this unit. There is an elevator on the other side of the building. We used the nice kitchen every night to cook dinner. Restaurant/fast food is extremely expensive in Maui. Having a kitchen is a God send. It costs about 20-30 one way to Uber to Foodland in Kihei. We like Foodland. Costco is near the airport on the other side of Maui. Gas during our stay was 5.90 a gallon if you get a rental car. The condo is very nicely remodeled. This location is a very quiet neighborhood. Turn right on street sidewalk for 3 min walk to small city park on the beach. Turn left on street sidewalk for 10 min walk to Starbucks. The unit inside smells naturally very nice, ie no damp or musty smell anywhere. The doors, windows, cabinets, washing machine/dryer, frig, oven, dishwasher where all in good working order. Master bed mattress is firm, but comfortable. Our 12 yr old slept comfortably on the sofa. The other adult said the guest room bed was firm but good. Mary has lots of good suggestions for things to do depending on your likes. We will definitely return in the future!!

Five Stars for Mary's Condo

We came to Maui (frm WA state) to celebrate my retirement and to do our part to contribute to the economic recovery. We appreciate very much how beautiful and convenient the condo was being centrally located on the island. Mary made it very easy with all the information she communicated prior to arriving. She was very responsive anytime I had a question. We would recommend her beautiful home above 100% for everyone. Thank you Mary!

In other words: wonderful, marvelous Our stay in this lovely unit was perfect. It met all of our needs. It is fully equipped and well kept with all the necessities in the kitchen and bathrooms and the bedrooms are very comfortable. The layout of the larger area (living and dining area) maximises openness and comfort. The lanai is the gem. Enjoy mornings relaxing as you sip your coffee/tea and you can also enjoy the evening sunsets of the harbor and beyond. We have stayed in many of the units at Kanai. This is a gem! We will be back.

Perfect Vacation

Mary's Condo was perfect! Well equipped kitchen including a crock pot! It was so nice that there were basic items stocked - like salt and pepper, oil even peanut butter as well as bathroom supplies! The beds were comfortable. We stayed a month so it was important that the furniture was comfortable - couldn't beat the recliner chair and couch! The location was perfect - in the middle of everything with a short drive up to Lahaina or over to Kihei. Beach Bums was our favorite restaurant. I slept like a baby every night listening to the waves. we are going to miss it and only hope that some day we can do it again. Thank you Mary!

Outstanding!

Outstanding! My wife and I took our older parents to Maui for their first Hawaii visit. They had a fabulous time relaxing at the condo and poolside. Every detail throughout the condo was well thought of, the interior decorations modern and tasteful. The location was also a breath of fresh Aloha air. Being In between Kihei and Lahaina it was not as crowded and only a few minutes’ drive from all the shops and restaurants. The beaches sugary sand was very nice with little waves to play in, turtles and families enjoying the day. Truly this was the best place we’ve ever stayed at in Hawaii, we look forward to coming back. Kudos to Mary for providing such a nice condo stay experience. Mahalo

First time Maui vacation

Maui is beautiful and exceeded all expectations for our first time to a Hawaiian island. The condo we stayed in was comfortable with all the amenities needed for a great stay. The beds were very comfortable (not too soft or hard - just right). We truly had all the comforts of home right in our place. The owner, Mary Pedretti, provided every thing needed to complete your stay. There were plenty of beach towels and floatation devices for fun in the pool. Updated appliances, nice decor, clean, and just as presented on the web - you won’t be disappointed. Being right on the beach, hearing the sound of the ocean was very calming and soothing. We had easy access to local stores and attractions. Beach Bums cafe nearby had the best ribs, the beaches were breathtaking and the weather was perfect! The property is well maintained by the groundskeepers who were there daily bright and early cleaning the grill, trimming the grass, and cleaning the pool. You can book this location with confidence. We hope to come again soon.

Not completely happy.

Many labels telling us dos and don'ts though out the condo, not a welcoming feeling. Master bath floor very sticky. Blonde hair ball in second bath. We are all brunettes. The washing machine had mold in the soap dispenser. We were expected to do laundry (sheets and towels) We were told not to leave more tan 3 loads for them to do. We paid a cleaning fee. What was that used for????

I am very sorry the condo cleaning was not to your standards. Please know I forwarded your review to our cleaning team so they are aware the unit was not cleaned properly as I need to know for future guests renting my condo. I wish you would have contacted me upon check in as specified in the check in documents I provided so I could have made arrangements for someone from the cleaning team to come out immediately to clean the areas they missed. The labels placed around the condo are to assist guests with locating/replacing the various items necessary for their stay. The labels on the washing machine are to remind guests to leave the laundry detergent tray and washer door open allowing them to air out to reduce mold build up because of the humidity that comes with being on a tropical island. I have received many positive comments thanking me for the information the labels provide. I am sorry you found them unwelcoming. I hope you were able to enjoy your stay and the beauty the island has to offer.

Fantastic Condo in Paradise

Thank you for allowing us to use your Condo during our 15th wedding Anniversary trip. The condo itself is very nice, well appointed, nice and clean, very well stocked with most anything you would need to have an awesome Hawaiian vacation. (we did buy two new pillows when we first got there) Location is great as well, loved to be able to walk Sugar beach barefoot daily, as well having the harbor so close was very convenient for whale cruise and Beach Bums restaurant. Only drawback was planes making final approach due to wind direction took them right over bldg., as well the pool circulation fountain was noisy when sliding doors were open. Both minor and would not deter me from staying here again. Love all the fans you have to keep the place cool we only needed A/C for a couple hrs each night just to get to sleep, daytimes with the breeze was perfect. I highly recommend this condo for anyone looking for a nice clean and well appointed place to enjoy a Maui vacation.
Svar fra VrboOwner den 23. mar. 2020
Thank you so much for staying with us and thank you for buying the extra pillows. I try to provide a variety of choices as everyone's pillow selections vary. As far as the planes. They have different approaches depending on weather. The condo AOAO's are also working with the airport to move them over some so you won't hear them at all. As you said it's not bad anyway.

Beachfront Paradise

What more could you ask for? We visited Mary's condo for 10 days, and certainly wished it could have been longer!! We were a party of six; and even the airbed was so comfortable!! This condo was the perfect location for us on the island of Maui - we were central to everything; we visited the aquarium, Lahaina, Kihei, Paia, Road to Hana, Haleakala, Kula, and never felt like we were far from home. And believe me, your condo felt like home to us Mary. Nicely upgraded, stocked with absolutely anything we required, and more. Nice comfortable beds, high quality linens and towels (and an abundance of those, even beach towels!!) We especially enjoyed lanai, with its breathtaking view of the ocean, and stunning sunsets; even saw some whales. Nothing has been overlooked in this condo. And, you couldn't ask for a nicer beach. Easy access, and you could walk it for miles - and never crowded!!! If you watch closely, you'll see many turtles, popping their heads up for a breath. We were even lucky enough to have one swim right between us in the water. Very quiet location, friendly tenants, and perfectly maintained property. Truly a hidden gem - we will definitely be back!! Thanks so much Mary for being so responsive, so friendly, and for sharing your little piece of paradise.

You made the most of your time visiting the aquarium, traveling the roads to Hana and Haleakala, towns of Paia, Kihei, Lahania and Kula. Looking forward to your return in the future. Thanks again for staying with us.
