The condo is beautiful and in a great location, a half block from the beach and a 10 min walk from shops/cafes. Nina the host is so nice and super responsive. The condo pool is clean and lovely (my daughter spent most afternoons there). Only issue if you have small kids is that there are no tubs in the unit but otherwise it’s a great place to stay!

Amazing stay close to the beach!

We have come back to this property (or others within the same complex) and we love the location and quality of the property. Close to the beach and lots of shops in the area.

Perfect location!

This condo was so cute and clean. Property manager responded so quickly and was extremely helpful in anything we needed! Had everything! Just steps from the beach. Parking so easy and convenient! Would stay again.

Perfect Beach Spot

Love this condo. Perfect location in a quiet small complex. Manager is great. This was our second trip and we will be back.

Beautiful place

We absolutely love this beach condo. Our group has rented it multiple times, and love it everytime. It's a beautiful place, and super close to the beach. The owner is fantastic to work with and is always available to answer questions. We highly recommend the home and the owner, Nina!

Diamond in Del Mar

This was an absolutely fabulous property! The location was perfect, walkable to shops, restaurants and the beach! The decor is even more beautiful in person and the pool area is a great place to just relax and enjoy the sun. Nina was also an amazingly attentive host. We will definitely be going back.

Quick Getaway to DelMar

This property was wonderfully located and was great for our family of 5. It was very nicely decoarted and stocked with what we needed. They even left a gift box of snacks that my kids loved and devoured! The host was very communicative and the check-in/out process was easy. I'd love to go back!

Absolute Gem

2nd stay in this fantastic cluster of units 1 block off the beach. This particular unit was recently remodeled and it was gorgeous. Boho beach chic with top of the line appliances, TV’s and furniture. The unit was well appointed with everything you will need for a first class stay. Of special note was how comfortable the beds were. Most important is Nina Detrow with Surfside Vacation Rentals. She represents these Units with great professionalism; great communication, excellent responsiveness, and easy to do business with. She is Top Notch!

Comfy condo close to the beach!

Wow! We had an outstanding visit to Del Mar at Nina's place. First of all, when she says this is the best location, she's right: it is just a block to the beach, or two blocks to restaurants. Even though this was a business trip in Feb/March, the water was so close that I had to walk across the street to soak it up before and after work. I loved walking down to Torrey Pines along the beach at low tide. Ok, more about the condo. Beautiful light throughout the place. Three spacious bedrooms, big clean and comfy beds, family room with tv, and a fully equipped kitchen -- with coffee and tea provided to smooth my arrival. It has decks and balconies. BBQ grill. Two parking spaces. Pool and hot tub. Laundry in the condo. It's a home away from home. There is really everything you need to have a good time. We spent two weeks here -- and we would have stayed longer if we could!

great location, disappointing condo

My family (3 adults and 3 kids ages 6, 4, 2 months) stayed here for mid winter break. We were a bit disappointed to be honest given how many amazing reviews there are of this place. The location is wonderful - we had a great time walking to shops and the beach. However, the place was pretty worn and run down in a lot of ways and was lacking in many simple things. First of all, the heat didn't work for 2 nights which was frustrating given it was in the 40s at night. The thermostat was out of battery, but we didn't know that - shouldn't some one check that before renters come? It was fixed eventually and they did deliver space heaters (not ideal with little kids running around). Also, some things were broken - some beach toys, the beach umbrella and we would have really appreciated a smaller cooler, zip lock bags or tupperware or aluminum foil to transport food to the beach, a beach cart (the people rending across the walk from us had all these things), a laundry drying rack, and a laundry basket or two. The laundry machine and dryer was also extremely old and didn't function well, which is a must when traveling with kids, especially at the beach! We have rented in many different places and have found these things pretty standard especially in a place catering to families. All in all, I would not rent here again.

Hi Aurelie! Good idea - we should have tupperware! There was aluminum foil in the cabinet. If you wanted a smaller cooler, we would have brought one to you. We do have a wagon if you had asked. We would have brought you a new umbrella or beach toys or anything. We would have brought you anything you asked for, but you didn't ask us or let us know. It is hurtful when someone just posts a sad review, when you didn't give us a chance to help you. We have never been asked for a drying rack or a clothes basket? But we would have brought you one if that would have helped your stay. We apologize for your one night with no heater, but it was the first cold night in a long time. Space heaters delivered first thing in the morning. I am sorry you don't want to return, but when you rent your next home, please alert the owners of any issues you have. That's pretty standard to give us a chance to respond. Sorry you didn't like your welcome gift? Most renters love them. I am TRULY sorry you didn't enjoy your stay. We are very conscientious and try to make sure everyone has a great time as you can see by the other reviews.

Annual summer kick off Del Mar trip

This is our sixth stay in this or one of the other condos on this property and we love it!! Has everything we need: beach, equipment, pool, cozy home. Perfect for our family. Nina is attentive and kind, a gracious host!

Great location!

Great location of the property and Nina was extremely responsive to any of our needs or questions! Only wish the condo had air conditioning as it got warm inside during the day.

Beach Visit for Labor Day

House 100 percent as advertised. We were there during a heat wave and one of the nights was pretty hard but the rest of the time it was ok not to have AC. House manager SUPER responsive and helpful. Perfect location - house well stocked.

We love this property!

This was our fourth stay on this property (two different units) and we just love the proximity to the beach, the town, park, pool, and restaurants. The kids love the whole experience and talk about it all year. The unit is cozy and now very much feels like home. Nina is a gracious, attentive hostess who never misses a detail. Can’t wait for our next annual trip!

Great Location

The location is great, clean beaches, wonderful for families with pets. The lack of hoops we had to jump through to rent this place with a 50lb husky was a huge plus. This convenience does come with a $300 nonrefundable pet fee, which I thought was pretty high all things considered, but boarding is way more expensive so it wasn't the biggest of deals. The reason we gave 4 stars: The check in was listed as 3:00, but our unit wasn't ready until 4:30. With a check out time of 10am, we assumed the house would be ready in time. The other thing (which is very understandable considering the location) is the house was covered in sand. The biggest problem was the ants. Despite being very careful with the dog and human food, the ants seemed to just exist and no matter how clean we were, they remained. All in all, the location was worth the minor hassles. The condo was very secure with private parking. We didn't have to drive anywhere except the grocery store the first day. The local people were very friendly and for it being late summer, the beaches weren't overly crowded like most So. Cal typically is. Recommended :)

Perfect Stay

We rented this home for my parents and our three kids and it was perfect. The downstairs bedroom is large for the kids to play plus the bunk bed had a trundle under it too so it fit the entire family. There were also tons of beach toys and kids toys inside for our three kiddos to play with so that was unexpected. The patio is fairly small and there isn't a door/patio gate so taking things to the patio after a beach day tracks in sand through the living room which we didn't mind much but I wish there was a patio door. We will definitely be back!

LOCATION LOCATION LOCATION

Spent 10 wonderful days in Del Mar. This condo is a 4-minute walk to/from the beach and the 3 bedrooms were all nice and roomy. I called in advance to inquire about a crock pot and baby gate for the stairs and the manager purchased both items before our arrival. The kitchen was well equipped and we were able to prepare meals without difficulty. There were not only beach chairs and beach umbrellas available but also ice chests and a beach cart to roll things to the beach. It was wonderful not having to worry about parking since it's always a problem in Del Mar; we were able to park our big SUV and my daughter's minivan in the underground parking garage. We had a couple of minor issues which were promptly resolved (batteries for a TV remote and AC unit condensation). Overall, it was a great place and would love to return.

Clean and Cozy

We were a group of 5 adults and this condo perfectly fit our needs. Location is wonderful for shopping and dining and so close to the beach. Very impressed by the cleanliness as well. I will say that the living room furniture is worn and not very comfortable. Also, the Master bath shower head was still broken, as mentioned in a previous post and the water temp was difficult to regulate. The TV in the downstairs bedroom was also not working, but it was not an issue for the guest who stayed in that room. It took some getting used to the Coaster Train coming through during the night for the light sleepers in our group. Overall, we enjoyed our stay and would return again.
