The house is spotlessly clean and the views are so amazing! Ricardo wasn't too happy about our arrival time but we couldn't help that our flight landed quite late in the evening. He was really helpful with tips for the area and recommended some brilliant restaurants too. He was really accommodating about our departure time which was so appreciated. The beds are quite firm but the house and view are worth it!

Laura and Ricardo are lovely people; very helpful and friendly. The villa was outstanding, from how clean it was to decor and views. The kitchen is very equipped. We actually said that the photos do not do it justice; the villa is better than it looks in the photos. Everything was perfect, could not recommend enough.

Amazing

Had a fantastic weeks stay with the most amazing views to wake up to every morning. Villa was stunning and very peaceful, just what we wanted for a quite week in the mountains. The villa is very well equipped with everything you could need. Communication with Ricardo & Laura was great throughout. Would highly recommend, thank you Ricardo and Laura.

Amazing villa in an amazing location!

We have stayed in many villas in France, Portugal and Spain and Ricardo and Laura’s Villa might just top the lot. On a villa holiday you need a place of your own, with the main facilities all to a high standard - especially the kitchen, living areas and of course the pool. (A/C too if you need it). This villa has all those and then some - topped off with outstanding views from the very large and private pool deck. It is in a fantastic location for exploring the Algarve, and even south west Spain. Fully recommend. 5 Star. Guests will also benefit from the local knowledge and suggestions made by Ricardo of where to go and what to see. Bonus - the evening frog chorus from the pond in the garden and the brilliant stargazing from the hillside location after dark.

Paisible et ensoleillé avec vue imprenable sur la région.

Maison de haute qualité avec localisation idéale par rapport à Faro et environs. La vue est exceptionnelle, la tranquillité aussi. La véranda fut pour nous un lieu de rencontres conviviales. Notre hôte nous a offert une multitude de propositions de visites de la région bien documentées. Nous y retournerions n’importe quand !

Great family holiday

Very nice home, well equiped with everything you need for an enjoyable stay. Laura and Ricardo were available if needed and were accomodating. And what a beautiful view. I would recommend this home and will return again if we have the opportunity.

Super relaxing stay with view to die for!

Enjoyed a wonderful 1-week stay in this quiet villa which really does have a view to die for ... all the way down to the sea and Faro! Great location to get away from it all but also easy to get to supermarket in Sao Bras and to the coast. Great size pool and very well equipped villa. Enjoyed many evenings in the conservatory watching the view to Faro change as night set in ... quite magical with all the lights after sundown. Would definitely return any time! Special thanks to the kind and helpful hosts!

Parfait ! Belle villa confortable

Belle escapade en famille dans l’Algarve / la maison était parfaite avec belle piscine et tout le confort attendu / un bémol quand à l’emplacement car il faut la voiture pour n’importe quelle sortie voire pour les courses sinon vraiment tranquille .

Stunning, wonderful, spectacular

Such a delightful place. Up in the hills, away from it all. Amazing views. Quiet and relaxing. You certainly need a car - but it was fun and easy to get to discover the area. Problem is finding a reason to ever drag yourself away from the villa and the pool. We will be going back for more! Big thanks to Laura and Ricardo.

Amazing villa with beautiful views.

Hi Laura, Ricardo Thank you for letting us stay in your amazing home. We had such a great time and hope to return one day. We found the area a perfect get away and could not have found a better location to stay. Your villa was tidy and very comfortable and was well equipt for a self catering vacation. Lovely villa in a beautiful location.

Can recommend to any one who plans to visit the Algarve but wants to avoid the over crowding of the coastal resorts. That said only 20 minutes from the airport, but it feels a lot further away. Laura was very helpful and efficient. We are already planning our return, which says it all...

Fantastic

We were met by Ricardo at the airport and escorted to the villa about 20 minutes from the airport. The Casa is situated in the countryside on a hillside with other villas in the proximity but not estate style, so the feeling is being private but not remote. The villa is spacious and very well furnished and has everything for a perfect holiday. The description is accurate. The pool area is spectacular and views wonderful. We stayed as a couple but it is equally suitable for families or groups of friends, but if you're looking for somewhere close to restaurants and bars maybe not so convenient. All in all a fabulous villa with exceptionally friendly and lovely hosts.

Pleasant and relaxing house

We had a lovely stay, We loved the house and especially the pool! Quiet house with magnificent views. The house is located 20 min from the towns. We recommend a small restaurant located in Bodeira near macjetes where we were able to taste the "Bacalhau" (Small map that you will find in the notebook;))

New Year Holidays

The description of the villa was accurate well done. The outlook from the terrace was amazing. The property was clean and the equipment was really well. There are different places, where you can relax and linger. The owners are very friendly and helpful. We would gladly come back and recommended the villa to our friends. The beach of Faro is very marvellous. New Year day to stay in this villa is very special and unforgettable.

Stunning Views

Casa do Sonho is a lovely, comfortable, well equipped villa situated in the hills. The views over Faro, Olhao and out to sea are stunning, by day and night. It's location is excellent and you can reach all parts of the Algarve with ease. Laura and Ricardo are a lovely, friendly couple. They suggested many places for us to visit which we appreciated. Would we recommend this villa? YES!!!!

Great Villa and Pool

We stayed for 11 nights in this lovely villa and pool. A very peaceful and private location in the hills with a beautiful view down to the coast. Well equipped and comfortable. Definitely need a car but local towns closeby and nearest beach within 20 minutes or so. Laura and Ricardo helpful with recommendations etc. Will happily return in the future.

Large, well appointed villa with excellent views

The villa was situated very conveniently for access to major roads and towns enabling easy exploring of the Algarve region. The contents of the villa were very extensive indeed. A number of supermarkets are within easy driving distance with comprehensive ranges for groceries and household goods. Ricardo and Laura were extremely friendly and very proactive with comprehensive advice before our arrival to ensure we found the villa and were able to start the holiday immediately. They were also available throughout the stay for adhoc questions. Our only comment on "extras" needed in the villa would be that it would be good to have pool/beach towels, as with limited luggage space carrying large items such as these around is probably not practical for many guests.

Quiet and comfortable stay

We stayed for 3 nights in December for a friends birthday, The villa is comfortable and very well equipped. It has three good sized bedrooms with en-suite and a separate shared bathroom. The property has an excellent kitchen and a lovely terrace which in summer I would imagine would be a great place to sit with a glass of something cold admiring the beautiful views. The owners will meet you from the airport and guide you straight to the villa, in our case we know the area well and we met Laura locally. Nothing was too much trouble and Laura was incredibly helpful, we will definitely consider the villa for an annual two week stay in the area.

Fantastic holiday for relaxing and swimming

If like us your looking for a quiet relaxing holiday and see the real Portugal, then this is the place,from the start it was great, greeted with a baskett of goodies, free use of sat nav as a car is essential, the pool was great and kept in good condition by Ricardo,all in all a very private villa where each day was an adventure, Arthur& Kim Gateshead England.

We spent 2 very good weeks in this beautiful villa ! First thanks Laura and Ricardo for your availibility and reactivity for our mails exchanged before our arrival and yours answers to any question we could have ! We felt very well in your villa , spacious, quiet , great design with lovely veranda and pool , all comforts with appreciating this incredible view day and night ! Thanks also Laura and Ricardo for your welcome with whole range of different products at our arrival . This villa is very well located to discover and visit easily all Algarve areas and coasts from east to west , and also the hospitality and kindness of Portuguese ! With Laura and Ricardo , we tried a typical and excellent restaurant at Olhao , Cafe Estrela do Mar, to be tested if you like eating fresh sea food ! We also attended at a great evening Fado songs at restaurant Flor da Ameixa, just close to the villa ! So we are delighted of our stay , therefore we kindly recommend this adress ! and Laura and Ricardo , let keep in touch by mail to continue sharing our travels expériences ! MAGNIFIQUE !!!

Pour commencer les propriétaires laura et ricardo sont vraiment vraiment des personnes sympa et cela fait très plaisir, en cas de problème, de question diverses, ou d'un besoin ils sont la! , Nous avons passer 2 magnifique semaines dans cette sublime villa, La villa es vraiment très très calme ,la vue est vraiment splendide de jour comme de nuit, (situé sur les hauteurs de BORDEIRA) La piscine est au top ( profondeur max 2.00-2.10M !) La maison est identique aux photos voir même bien mieux et est très agréable à vivre... Bref je recommande

Casa maravillosa

olá Laura y Ricardo, quedamos encantados con la casa y su maravillosa vista, pero más nos asombro la amabilidad y atención de ustedes con nosotros, nos sentimos muy a gusto por el trato como si nos conocieramos de toda la vida, esperamos volver pronto nos encariñamos con la casa y el lugar que fue la tierra de mis padres, gracias por todo y hasta pronto!!!

Ricardo is 50 something, and Laura is 40 something. Both Portuguese. He was born and grew up in Lisbon, but Laura is a true Algarvian. We love to host people. Show around, explain things, satisfy the healthy curiosity of our guests.

One day we woke up and decided too many people were building around us and the area was becoming too crowded. So we decided to sell our previous villa. It was official: we were looking for a new home. And when the phone rang and a real estate agent said she had exactly what we were looking for, we accepted to visit still another property. That was the day when we came to Casa do Sonho for the first time. Its location was a bit out of the way for us. But the views were so good... and the building quality... and the fine swimming-pool... we just couldn't resist. We bought the place. We had happy years there. The community is great, and especially during the Summer, when everybody comes to their villas, the atmosphere is unbelievable.

The project villa Casa do Sonho didn't start life as a commercial enterprise. We didn’t build this villa with the intention of renting it out. It was our home until we decided it was a little too far for our normal active working lives. We moved to Vilamoura and decided that we would rent out the Casa do Sonho villa to help us with our new property expenses. So, what does this mean to you? Simply put, it means that you will find a real home here, instead of a poorly furnished villa designed for maximum profit.. We look forward to welcoming you and enabling the Casa do Sonho to become your home for a well-deserved, comfortable and memorable vacation. But to be honest, I think our guests opinion must be taken. We kindly suggest you to read our testimonials in our own website.
