Afsondret ejendom med dam og haver, kun få skridt fra stranden og centrum

Vores smukke hus ligger på en af Stinsons ældste og mest kendte ejendomme, og selve huset blev designet af den berømte arkitekt Rudolph Schindler. Det er omgivet af en helt fantastisk have, som er blevet vist på HGTV og i Garden Design magasinet. Det ligger kun et stenkast fra centrum samt stranden - og alligevel er det en af de mest private, rolige ejendomme i Stinson.

Ovenpå i huset er der tre soveværelser, det ene med en fuld størrelse seng og det andet med en queensize-størrelse. Det store soveværelse har en kingsize-seng og en udtrækssofa. Ovenpå er også badeværelset placeret med bruser og toilet.

Slyngende gennem haven kan du måske møde nogen fra vores anden leje øverst i haven - i så fald skal du sige hej og få en ny ven! Tag dig et øjeblik og sidde ved dammen og lyt til frøerne, gå over til veggiehaven og se hvad der dukkede op, som du kan bruge til dit aftenmåltid - jeg kan næsten love, at du vil forlade denne ejendom som følelse bedre end når du kom...

The Carriage House was the perfect space for our family’s visit to Stinson beach. The rooms were spacious, kitchen was well stocked for entertaining, and the common space was cozy. We loved the beautiful gardens, bikes for exploring, and the private access to the beach. Will stay again!

Hidden Gem!

I have lived in Marin for 35 years and never knew about this place. It is amazingly beautiful and next to the beach. Serene and magical. Loved it!!

Lovely magical perfect

The Carriage House was perfect for our family of 4. The house is charming and well laid out. The kitchen was well enough equipped to cook a sumptuous Christmas dinner. The walk to the beach through the gardens is a magical experience. We surfed, hiked and cycled all from the house which is much nicer than portrayed in the photos. You will not be disappointed unless you mind seeing friendly neighbors walking through the garden as you will walk through the garden of others. As an added bonus, the manager was kind enough to find a watch cable we left behind and return it to us. We will definitely find another time to stay here.

Amazing!

Our trip could not have been more fantastic. Karolina was extremely helpful and friendly from the moment we arrived, and we could not have been more thrilled with our vacation. The pictures here on VRBO are beautiful to be sure, but they don't nearly capture how beautiful and exotic, peaceful and secluded the whole place feels when you experience it in-person. And when they say "steps to the beach" they really mean it-- out the back gate and you're there. Leave the windows open and night and you fall asleep to the crashing of waves. We honestly didn't want to leave the property and made all of our friends come to us-- if you have friends in the area I highly recommend inviting a bunch of people over for dinner-- it's the perfect space for an evening of grilling and dining alfresco with a great group of friends. The only minor downside is that is that it lacks a washer and dryer for your laundry, but they say that's coming soon, and Karolina was nice enough to do a load for us! And who wants to do laundry on a vacation like this anyway? :) We had such a profound experience we're already planning our next trip back! A few quick tips: - All the routes to Stinson beach are mountainous and curvy, and it frequently gets pretty foggy at night, so driving to/from there at night can be a little dicey - There isn't much in the way of grocery shopping in Stinson Beach itself (just a small general store), so you'll probably want to stock up in Mill Valley where there's a big Safeway and a couple of Whole Foods markets. - It got fairly cold and foggy at night, and often didn't clear up until well after 11am, so pack a sweater. This was honestly one of the best vacations we've had in years!

Great place!

Our family enjoyed the fireplace on rainy days and the well equipped kitchen for our cooking adventures. Hosts were super helpful. Lovely setting. Hearing the waves soothing you at night.

wonderful beautiful magical!

the home is exactly as pictured, cozy clean and warm with amazing shared grounds. Access to the beach is right off the property! I will be sating again soon! Lovely host/owners as well!

Magical and beautiful house

This house exceeds all expectations. It’s part of a complex that itself is magical - feels like it’s own little world but is just steps from the beach. And the house itself is very modern, with beautiful photography on the walls and a fully stocked kitchen. Could not recommend this rental more. We will be back!

Incredible, perfect beach property

This property is simply amazing and neither pictures or words can showcase how lovely the garden/pond, landscape, and the whole property is. We walked at night through the lit garden to the beach. There are two entrances to the beach from the back of the property and both are easily accessible. There are surf boards, wetsuits, wagon for kids, a lovely platform for yoga or games, basketball for the next door park... it really has everything you could imagine. Fresh flowers and complimentary wine were waiting. We did not have to drive once, as there are restaurants on the street over (2 minute walk) with a small market and playground for the kids in the same area. Muir Woods National Park is close, which we visited on the way out. You can even hike there from across the property if you’re adventurous! We hope to visit again and would definitely recommend. No complaints.

Carriage House, you are a gem

We (myself, hubby, and kids 4 and 7) thoroughly enjoyed our stay at this unique property. The grounds are so beautiful and fun to explore, and the super close beach is an added bonus! Our hosts were so warm and accommodating, quick to answer questions and requests. Rooms were comfortable and mostly well equipped (plenty of pillows, towels, soap, coffee, etc) but if you are cooking something specific in the kitchen, bring everything you need. We had to get creative a few times! Or just walk over to the Parkside Cafe for the most delicious pizza ever. Highly recommend this property, you won’t be disappointed!

A very special place!

We enjoyed 3 nights at the Carriage House as a family of four looking for quiet time together. We also brought our dog -- thank you for allowing that! (You do have to walk a ways to the north end of the parking lot to access the part of the beach where pets are allowed, or risk being scolded by the park service.) The house is very comfortable, nice sheets, towels and beds are super comfy and the kitchen is well-supplied for cooking. The location is excellent. At first I was a little worried that we would not be directly on the beach, but it is such a short walk and the expansive garden is so nice to walk through, I really preferred being set back a bit. You can still hear the surf like crazy and plenty of night time coyote howling as well. The only improvement I would ask for is more reading lights. Some of the rooms are a little too dark for reading. The chessboard and fireplace are a wonderful spot to gather. Also, there are plenty of nice surfboards and boogie boards and even a skim board available to use on the beach. Finally, the Parkside is just steps away for pastries, ice cream, and a really nice dinner. We would come back here in a heartbeat. Thank you so much!

Great getaway

Wonderful stay at the Carriage house

This stylish home is beautiful and is conveniently located in Stinson close to the beach, restaurants, and shops. The property had other rentals on it which would be really great if you wanted to rent the whole complex for a large family reunion or gathering! They share a central parking area and amazing garden and each home has a lot of privacy. This design-oriented house is well-stocked with everything you might need and is a pleasure to cook and relax in!

Wonderful, peaceful weekend getaway.

This was our second time staying at the Carriage House, and it was another lovely experience! The location is incredible -- just steps away from the beach and many hiking trails. The house is comfortable and cared for with love. The kitchen is well-equipped and provides a wonderful place to cook all together as a family. Our hosts were responsive and attentive. We will definitely be back!

Magical!

We had a magical gathering of 17 friends from across the country at Willow Camp and Carriage House. I cannot think of any better place we could have stayed. The houses and grounds are so beautiful. The huge fireplace backlit our late night conversations. The wonderful kitchen supported a house full of foodies, cooking gourmet meals and sitting down at the dining table that accommodated us all. The house is so unique, steeped in history you can't help but be amazed. One wishes they could have dropped into the house in the 1920's when there was a party. Steve and Lovisa are great hosts. We had a few questions and they were addressed right away. Now all we can talk about is what date we can return to this amazing house!

Lovely house in a lovely setting

We greatly enjoyed our stay at the Carriage House. The house was very easy to live in, modern and simply decorated. The master bedroom is very special and all the beds were comfortable. We have been connected to Stinson for almost 2 decades, and we have lived there for 6 of those years. To us, being in Stinson is to love it. The community, the nature, the ocean - there is no place like it. We always knew this was a very special property, and we feel enormously lucky to be the stewards of such an amazing place with so much history.
