Excellent ski holiday in Antagnod

We had a great holiday, the property is traditional but very comfortable with plenty of space for 2 families. The owners are super helpful and the village is charming with some excellent restaurants. Overall a great week skiing in Italy!

Personal and cozy

The house is very personal and cozy and is situated with a beautiful view over the surrounding mountains. The contact whit the landlords Iaia and Robert was equally good. Nice friendly and very helpful.

Summer vacation

We are a family of 8+ a baby. We enjoyed the house very much. Therewas a lack of chairs to sit outside and the the view is blocked. The house is very comfortable, cousy and quit. The village is very close and beutif. There is a lot of hikes and places to go and visit. It was a very good vaction!

Lovely accommodation

We had a wonderful holiday staying in Antagnod. The accommodation was perfect for our family of 4 adults and 4 children. It had a rustic charm which was very endearing. The kitchen was well stocked with all the utensils you’d want, the water always lovely and warm and the beds comfortable. Rob and Iaia were excellent hosts, and the communication with them both before and during the trip outstanding. Antagnod is a beautiful little village and the ski bus to Champoluc very easy. It is quite a steep hill from the house up to the main village which might necessitate a car for the less mobile, but we didn’t mind this at all. We hope to return for another holiday soon.

On garde un chouette souvenir d'Antagnod, beaucoup de choses à faire avec des jeunes enfants en hiver sans trop utiliser la voiture (luge à Barmasc, balade jusqu'au banc géant à coté du restaurant "le Solitaire", les plaines de jeux enneigées autour de la bibliothèque, ski à la station d'Antagnod bien entendu, depuis Mandriou : chouette balade de 30 min jusqu'à un petit refuge ouvert du ve. au di. qui vend des glaces incroyables (la Tchavana), le chemin qui descend depuis le gpite dans le fond de la vallée où vous pouvez suivre l'itinéraire piéton qui longe la piste de ski de fond jusqu'à Champoluc ou vers Periasc. Super boucherie au village. 2 supérettes bien pratiques et quelques restos. Le gîte est assez original et chaleureux, il y a autant d'interrupteurs que de cadres sur les murs, cela donne une atmosphère assez originale qui ne manquera pas de surprendre... La chambre avec sa salle de bain en sus est confortable, les 3 autres chambres de l'autre coté de la maison manquent probablement un peu d'isolation phonique (une n'a pas de porte mais un rideau) et les 2 autres communiquent par une porte qui ferme mal. Un petit effort devrait être fait sur l'aération des 2 autres salles de douches dont l'odeur d'humidité à tendance à se répandre un peu partout... Concernant l'annonce, il faudrait ajouter une photo des logements se trouvant juste en face du gîte pour que ce soit tout à fait conforme à la réalité. Bref, une bonne expérience dans le val d'ayas !

Ski et détente

Vacances de ski en famille dans ce charmant chalet a Antagnod. Le chalet est conforme a la description. Nous avons utilisé la navette gratuite pour Champoluc et Frachey pour skier... ce qui prend un peu de temps le matin. On recommande l'endroit de preference avec voiture.

L'esperienza in questa casa è stata agrodolce

La nostra esperienza in questa casa è stata agrodolce. Partiamo dagli aspetti positivi: la posizione geografica è eccellente, permettendoci di esplorare comodamente la zona. Il giardino spazioso è stato un vero piacere, offrendo ampio spazio per rilassarci all'aperto. Inoltre, la disposizione delle camere si è rivelata funzionale per il nostro gruppo di otto persone. Va sottolineato che la proprietaria di casa è stata molto disponibile, sempre pronta ad assisterci e a rispondere alle nostre richieste. Tuttavia, ci sono stati diversi aspetti che hanno compromesso il nostro soggiorno. La casa soffre di un problema di umidità significativo, con muffe visibili sui soffitti. Abbiamo riscontrato problemi di pulizia: sia la casa che gli utensili da cucina non erano stati adeguatamente puliti prima del nostro arrivo. La struttura mostra segni evidenti di usura e mancanza di manutenzione. Altri inconvenienti includono la mancanza del bidet in tutti e tre i bagni, elemento che consideriamo essenziale per il comfort. La lavatrice è vecchia e ha il pulsante della temperatura rotto, limitandone l'utilizzo. In conclusione, mentre la posizione, alcuni aspetti della proprietà e la disponibilità della proprietaria sono apprezzabili, riteniamo che ci siano margini di miglioramento significativi. Una maggiore attenzione alla manutenzione, alla pulizia, al controllo dell'umidità e all'aggiornamento degli elettrodomestici migliorerebbe notevolmente l'esperienza degli ospiti

Last minute boeking april 2024

We boekten minder dan 2 weken voor afreis dit vakantiehuis. De mooie foto op de advertentie toont evenwel het huis van de buren, het gehuurde chalet is goed verborgen op de foto.. Het chalet is eerder oud en rommelig, maar ook wel gerieflijk. Er zijn 3 (en mits meerprijs ook 4) slaapkamers en zo 9 bedden. De kleinste slaapkamer heeft een stapelbed, geen ramen en wordt afgesloten met een gordijn. Met de extra gehuurde slaapkamer erbij, heb je 3 badkamers en is er geen probleem om allemaal te douchen na een dag op de latten. In de living geeft de pelletkachel aangename warmte (moeilijk te regelen - soms erg warm). De sofahoek is gezellig maar niet echt comfortabel. Een extra persoon daar laten slapen lijkt ons niet zo aan te raden (was ook niet nodig met ons gezelschap). De keuken is klein, rommelig en veel potten passen niet op het inductievuur. Het is dus puzzelen om maaltijden voor 9 te bereiden. Er is geen vaatwasser, jammer genoeg. Het gehele huis is (al te veel) gevuld met persoonlijke spullen van de eigenaars, waardoor bergruimte beperkt is. Door de veelheid aan huisraad (en kadertjes! - we telden er meer dan 100) geeft het huis een overvolle indruk. Een fijne extra is wel het stukje tuin voor het huis, dat begin april tot ruim 18u nog de laatste zonnestralen had: ideaal voor apero! Wij hadden met 2 gezinnen een erg gezellige en fijne week en genoten van de overvloedige sneeuwval tot op onze dag van aankomst. Erg goed dat de toegangsweg elke ochtend geruimd wordt!

PECCATO!

Peccato per la casa ubicata in un contesto di pace e tranquillità, minata all’arrivo dalla scoperta che non vi fosse nemmeno mezzo rotolo di carta igienica in nessuno dei due bagni a disposizione, salvo sentirsi dire dai proprietari, che i negozi erano aperti sino alle 19,30 e quindi si sarebbe fatto in tempo ad andare ad acquistarla. Al nostro stupore per la strana usanza i proprietari hanno magnanimamente fatto pervenire la mattina successiva una borsa con rotoli di carta igienica, un flacone di detersivo per i piatti in sostituzione di quello pieno d’acqua e schiuma disponibile e 2 sacchi di pellets per far funzionare la stufa. Peccato svegliarsi al mattino con lancinanti dolori di schiena e scoprire che il letto aveva una doga rotta, ma in realtà usando il phon che aveva i fili tutti esposti una bella scossa avrebbe potuto rimettere in moto la schiena. Peccato ammirare alle finestre di casa le cime immacolate di neve, ma non avere lo stesso candore in casa con docce che riportavano un campionario di peli e muffe stagionate, coprimaterassi ricoperti di polvere, guanciali macchiati di giallo e marrone, una vera manna per esami di polizia scientifica utili a far risalire al DNA delle persone che vi hanno soggiornato negli ultimi 10 anni. E qui ci fermiamo con i peccato, non perché sia finito l’elenco delle lagnanze (ad esempio mancava la manopola di comando della lavatrice o lo sportello del freezer era divelto), ma perché i caratteri a disposizione sono limitati.

Ci spiace molto che questi ospiti non abbiano apprezzato come altri la settimana a casa nostra. Vi sono persone che notano qualsiasi imperfezione. Essi aiutano la comunità, permettendoci di migliorare. Spiace al contempo che costoro facciano fatica ad apprezzare le cose belle loro offerte. Bei libri, una casa accogliente. Certo non dimenticheremo di fornire di carta igienica tutti i bagni e di sapone di marca la cucina, pur sapendo che armadi e negozi ne sono provvisti. Continueremo a lasciare ai nostri ospiti olio e aceto di qualità, sale e zucchero, una buona bottiglia , e quanto riteniamo possa dar loro il benvenuto e iniziare al meglio un periodo di svago e gioia. Ci spiace che il signor Giacomo abbia dormito male, e controlleremo senz'altro che le doghe (delle quali nessuno si era lamentato in precedenza) siano a posto. Lo ringraziamo inoltre x averci ricordato di buttare via uno dei due phon che la signora delle pulizie aveva lasciato nella speranza che potesse essere riparato. Resta a disposizione quello nuovo. Ci auguriamo che i futuri ospiti si concentrino sui lati positivi e ci diano suggerimenti costruttivi per migliorare l'accoglienza della nostra bella casa. Noi continueremo a guardare con fiducia al bello delle cose e delle persone.

A nice holiday home in a spectacular Val d'Ayas setting

Very good impression and an excellent vue on the valley below. A 5 minute walk from spectacular Antagnod old town and nice food shops and restaurants and ski bus to Champoluc/Frachey. A car is however more convenient. There were some misunderstandings with the host, but everything was sorted out quickly. There is no Wi-Fi however- but actually it is not a big problem unless you have a decent mobile phone internet plan with you, since the mobile internet conection is good. Altogether highly recommended!

I do not understand dutch. However, I hope Ans' family and friends enjoy their stay. I am frankly surprised of not having had a 5/5 evaluation as most visitors leave. Maybe it was because there is much snow in Ayas, as allover in the Alps, this year.

Il posto è meraviglioso. La vista è fantastica. I proprietari sono gentilissimi e ci hanno accolto con grande cura. Sono stati anche sempre disponibili a rispondere a tutte le nostre domande durante il soggiorno. La casa è molto bella, comoda e accogliente, decorata con gusto e autenticità. Ci ha fatto sentire subito a nostro agio. Raccomandiamo calorosamente!

Authenticity at Antagnod. A+

From the initial booking request, we had a good and sincere contact with house owners Roberto & Iaia, although unfortunately we have never met in person. The house is genuine, with authentic furniture & decoration and comfortable at a family owned piece of land at a dead end road. Mountain views are stunning, and around the house there is a lot of space for the children to play outside. The location is a bit remote from the skilifts and the steep climb towards the main road is a small burden when in skiboots, but this didn’t bother us too much. Ample parking near the house. A morning or evening stroll through the old village to the local shops is really the charm. Mind that this is a comfortable and spacious but not luxurious hide-out: there is no central heating, no dishwasher, boiler capacities might fall a bit short for 2+1 bathrooms, a couple of light switches seem to be redundant, some equipment might be a bit outdated, but again, this is truly a vintage family vacation house and this what we signed up for and enjoyed a lot. We were with 4 adults, 4 kids and 1 toddler, and all are fond of Italian villages like Antagnod. Would recommend, value for money and accommodating owners. Grazie!

Agréable séjour

Cadre très calme, nous y étions à 2 familles, 7 personnes en tout, dont 4 enfants. Nous avions réservé la grande chambre en plus. Le chalet est très spacieux, dans un très joli cadre. Les enfants ont adoré.

A beautiful location

Roberto & Iaia were great hosts, always available to answer queries and to help provide local knowledge and advice. The chalet has the most fantastic views and is situated in the beautifully located village of Antagnod. There is plenty of room, with simple but more than adequate facilities. We had a wonderful stay there and would recommend it to anyone who loves the mountains and mountain life.

The bright side of Antagnod

Nice stay in a nice little house owned by very nice people. Set up is "spot on" for a relaxing holiday in the Alps with a quite stunning view on the Monte Rosa range. House is facing south getting most all the sunlight possible (especially in winter). If willing car be left parked during the entire period. During winter Monterosa Ski slopes in Champoluc can be reached by bus (free of charge), whereas Antagnod slopes are 10-15 minutes away (walk). Alternatively you have easy access to quite a few hiking trails (both for normal excursionists and more expert hikers). Access to all main services (markets, post office, restaurants, ATM machine) within 5-10 minutes walking distance. Overall rating is positive... only downside is the lack of a fireplace for the cozy wintertime :)

I'd recommend this tenant, a polite and pleasant young gentleman, to anybody. He left the premises in perfect order, sat the payments in time and was very good company for the few hours we spent together.
