Luksus Condo på stranden, havudsigt og tropisk have

FØRSTE: Pas ikke på billederne af Monte Cristo-lejligheden i dette øjeblik. Lejligheden blev ødelagt under orkanen Irma, og vi er nødt til at genopbygge det. Vi kan foretage nogle reservationer for 2019 uden depositum. Vi foretrækker at være sikker på, at alt området bliver renoveret og pænt. Vi opdaterer billederne og ejendomsbeskrivelsen, så snart de er genopbygget og klar. Det vil være bedre end aldrig.

Vores Condo ligger i Nettle Bay Beach club, på den franske side af øen, på en hvid sandstrand. Nettle Bay Beach Club er et feriested, der tilbyder 4 svømmebassiner, 3 tennisbaner, døgnåben sikkerhed, nær restauranter og butikker til din underholdning. Udsigten over Nettle Bay er fantastisk. Du ser den nærliggende ø Anguilla, Marigot Bay og ruinerne af La Belle Creole langs Pointe du Bluff. Marigot, den franske hovedstad, ligger 1 km væk og har en marina og en havnefront, hvor du finder et farverigt marked, franske bistroer, restauranter og butikker med berømte franske varemærker toldfri. Hver villa i Nettle Bay Beach Club er to etager. Denne lejlighed er beliggende direkte på stranden. Det har en solterrasse med havudsigt med overdækkede lounge-sofaer, fuldt udstyret køkken, spiseplads med bord til 6 personer, opholdsstue med udklappelig sofa og tv. På anden sal ved siden af soveværelset er en stor terrasse udstyret med 2 strandstole til at nyde havudsigten.

Lovely condo on the beach

This condo has everything that you need for a relaxing vacation in the Caribbean. The host is accessible and provided restaurant recommendations along with tips on places to go. Highly recommend!

Fabulous Vacation

We had a wonderful vacation and loved the property. The condo had everything we needed for an amazing week! Very spacious, excellent location within walking distance of a great restaurant (Mezza Luna) as well as a gas station, small grocery, patisserie and a cute shop with rotisserie chicken. The pool (one of four on the property) was great and we had it all to ourselves many times! We also made use of the tennis courts. Marie was wonderful and helpful with all of our needs! We will definitely be back!

Very clean and well maintained. Host was very accommodating with all our questions. Right on the ocean as advertised. Did have issues with the water being shut off but our host was in communication with us immediately.

Hello Deb, Thank you for your understanding concerning the water cuts. The whole French part suffered from it due to a failure of a part of the plant producing water. We have just had a tank installed which will allow supply the villa with water if there were to be cuts again. Looking forward to seeing you again!

Peaceful, quiet and very relaxing. Hosts were always available and very helpful with suggestions for shopping and food. They even brought us some treats! We would highly recommend. You get a great view of Marigot, sunrise and of course the water.

Lovely beach location with walkable access to restaurants, bakery, and convenience store.

Difficulty finding the place initially. Would be helpful to provide a map of the development. Lovely beach location with walkable access to a French bakery, a few restaurants, and a small food store. We enjoyed the gorgeous views from the patio. The pool was refreshing after a day of snorkeling. Be sure to bring US 220 (2 round prong) adapters. Stairwell to the second level would benefit from the addition of a railing or post. Also, we had difficulty locking/unlocking th main door and the slider. Miscommunication re: meeting the property manager on site. Property manager made a dinner reservation for us the night of our arrival….very much appreciated!

Wonderful and private location ideal for exploring!

We had a fantastic week long stay. It was a quiet community of condos and any neighbors we saw were very friendly. As mentioned, the beach sand does have a lot of sea glass, which is in no fault of any owners...it is coming in from the ocean as far as we could tell. Most glass pieces had been worn down smooth, but there were newer sharp pieces as well, which is unfortunate. Keep that in mind if you have children coming on vacation with you. I actually loved walking the beach and sand areas each morning and collecting sea glass to take home to friends! The water/beach area is not really ideal for swimming, but there were amazing swimming beaches near by to go and explore!! You can certainly swim on the beach at the condo, it's just not a smooth sand entry like most of us prefer. The rental process was super smooth and we appreciated all the fast communication as well as advice before and during our stay. I do think a car rental is a must staying here. Marie recommended Discount Car Rental, and they were amazing. They picked us up at the airport and dropped us off at the end of the week. They even took us to a grocery store on our way in that first night to grab some cocktails since the stores were closing soon. Their office is right next door to the condo. This island really does shine when you rent a car and explore, and this condo is in a perfect location to do so. Thank you for an incredible vacation and sharing your home ~ you are amazing!

Lack of Communication

I wish I could give this property a higher rating. The condo is gorgeous and well-equipped with everything you could need. The location is great and close to everywhere we wanted to go. The property was very clean when we arrived. We stayed at this property for 5 nights. Twice during that time, the entire area had no running water due to an ocean swell. The first time we were without water for close to 36 hours and the second time was for over 12 hours. While I know the water issues were completely out of the host's control, there was no communication from them regarding the water. Each time it happened, I reached out to see what was going on and had to keep reaching back out for updates as to when the water would be back. They finally offered to bring us bottled water when we hit the 24 hour mark, but never actually did. Overall, this really put a damper on our vacation. We would come back from a day at the beach looking forward to a shower before going to a nice dinner only to get back to the condo and turn the faucet for nothing to come out. At least a heads up from the host could have managed our expectations. Although there were so many positives about this property, we would not stay here again due to those communication issues.

Aby I understand that this water cut is generating inconveniences but it concerned the entire French part of the island following a rupture of a part in the water production plant. I explained the situation to you on the day the problem started and we had 26 exchanges of messages via whatts app in 2 days. The next day, I suggested you go take a shower in the villa of your neighbors (who are the owners of the rented villa) and I offered to bring you packs of water. You replied that you were spending the day outside. I still left you packs of water in front of your door. Then the water came back. So I really don't understand why you write that it there was no communication between us. Following this incident , the owners of the villa had a rainwater tank installed under the deck so that the villa would be self-sufficient in water if the problem were to reoccur.

The view was great however if you want to swim off the beach front the waves are too rough and there is a lot of sea grass. The grounds keepers do clean it a few times a week from what we could see. The pool across from our villa was nice but very little shade with no shallow end if you have small children. While we were there the water was turned off to the the villa by the town at night and some times during the day which was not ideal and not what you would expect on vacation. Our villa did have a holding tank which was helpful. Marie was always very communicated and helpful when we reached out with any questions or concerns. Very relaxing place away from the busy tourist areas.

Beautiful Beachfront Condo

We had a great experience staying at the condo. It is very close to the beach, you walk out of your patio and are on the beach. The condo does look like the listing, one thing I will say is that the outlets are French ones so you may want to bring/but an adapter if you are coming from America because there are only 2 available in the unit. We had a minor issue with the washing machine having a communication error but Marie was very responsive and able to resolve the issue quickly. There is no dryer but you’ll have a rack to hang your clothes for drying. This place is in the French side of the island and about 15 minutes away from Simpson bay. I would stay here again for the beach access.

Wonderful host and Villa, but…

The Villa was beautiful and well appointed. The disappointment was perhaps cultural and had nothing to do with the Villa or host. I was surprised by the fact that dogs were able to roam freely in community, and not all were friendly. Additionally there is no concern or responsibility for cleaning up the dog waste. Having to navigate around piles of dog waste while walking is a big turn off. Again, the host of our Villa was wonderful and the home was beautiful and met all our needs. We very comfortable!

The condo was great. Newly updated and clean. Had everything we needed for our stay. Very quiet area. Pool was nice. Beach area was very good. It is a gated area with a security guard that checks the grounds from time to time. We felt safe at all times.

Wonderful Place

It was wonderful waking up each morning with a pretty view of the sun coming up over the mountains in the distance, with ocean and beach in front. The condo is updated, very attractive. We enjoyed our daily sojourn to the bakery for breakfast (lattes & French pastry) and we usually bought bread for later in the day. Also within walking distance are a couple of wonderful restaurants on the Bay side with outdoor dining. St. Martin has quite a few art murals sprinkled all over. The Wall of murals was just opposite our rental area, on the road to it. A big part of what made our experience so positive was our rental Agent, Marie-Laurie, who was always pleasant and helpful, and addressed our needs immediately. A small example was when we ran out of propane for the gas grill, they were there in a few minutes, giving us a new tank. We can't say enough about how nice and responsive she was. We stayed for 2 weeks, and wish it could have longer.

Wonderful place for a family vacation

This is a great place to have a family vacation. There are no words to describe how stunningly beautiful the views are, you literally step onto the beach from your villa. I also like that there is a nice mix of English and French. You can practice your french if you chose or if need be everyone speaks english. Marie-Laure was a great hostess and made the check in process easy. She also reached out to me several times prior to the trip to make sure I had everything I needed which I appreciated. I high recommend renting a catamaran for the day with Rodney (who lives 2 doors down) at Arawak. I hope to visit agian

Paradise!

The Monte Cristo is beyond words! Everything you could possibly need and want is provided by the owner and the manager is fantastic! From start to finish this was the easiest vacation we have ever had. We had not been to St Martin prior to the hurricane, and did not know what to expect. We were all pleasantly surprised by the places, people and atmosphere we encountered. A stay at the Monte Cristo will surely be one of the most pleasant you will ever have, looking forward to our return trip!
