Would consider staying again

TOO many rules. Felt like we were walking on eggshells with all the rules that were in place. Throwing out the trash should be part of the pay for clean up not $50 if you leave the trash there. Also the doors and beds squeak. 4th bedroom is the size of a closet with 2 bunk beds. Other than that the Views from the house are amazing though and the pool and hot tub with the ocean in the back was pretty awesome. We saw dolphins. The kitchen is very nice. The host was responsive even though it was mostly one word answers.

This guest would have been better served if he had read the ad and viewed all the pictures of the property prior to booking. The property is EXACTLY as advertised and future guests should read ANY of the other reviews on the property to get an accurate depiction of the hospitality provided to our guests prior, during and after their stay.

We were the lucky ones to be the first to stay in this gorgeous, completely remodeled home!

I have been reluctant to go down to Mexico since I was a kid. We all hear how corrupt it can be. The owner of the house promised me things have changed. His wife felt the same as I did and felt more than comfortable here (so comfortable they bought this house!). The kitchen is amazing and the rooms are open and spacious. There were 6 of us and we could have easily had 2 more. The pool area is huge with lots of space to sit in the sun or just read. There is a BBQ, but we wanted to explore the local cuisine. The local restaurants were amazing and the little towns were fun to walk through. There is a great book with lots of local restaurants and activities that the owner has put togehter. Sadly, we were there for a weeding and did not have time to explore. My kids surfed all weekend in the gorgeous ocean right in front of the house. The 24 hour guards are helpful if you need a cab as well as directions. They also patrol the property all day and night long. We could not have felt safer. All in all this was a wonderful house to spend the weekend in and wished we had longer. We will definitely be going back!

Best Bachelorette weekend ever! Hope to be back

I honestly can't even begin to explain how amazing this property is. 11 of us girls came for my bachelorette party weekend and it could not have been better. I can say a couple of the girls were sceptable driving to Mexico but now they can't wait to go back and seeing how easy it is! The house is even better in person then in pictures. We spent most of our time in the pool and jacuzzi, how could you not. There was more then enough room for all of us. Luis the house manager was more then helpful and always available when it was needed. He arranged a taxi big enough for all of us to go to puerto Nuevo for lobster one night and also provided us with border fast passes for a small fee when we went home! We only waited 25 min in line compared to 3-4 hours ! We also had an excursion to valle de Guadalupe during our stay, it was amazing. We honestly did not want to leave when it was finally time for our trip to come to an end and I hope one day soon I can stay at Casa Blanca again! Our only problem we had was the fridge did not get very cold / as cold as you would hope a fridge should get especially since we had brought a ton of food to keep in there during our stay. Fortunately we had two ice chests we brought so we bought ice and kept perishable foods in there for the most part, but this did not hinder our stay what so ever. I would suggest possible screens on the windows so guests feel comfortable leaving windows open for more a breeze throughout the house without having to worry about bugs entering or maybe a couple of floor standing fans for at night when it's warm out. And when it comes to bugs we did have a few cockroaches visit us but we took care of them no biggy! Overall this place is a dream and I highly suggest not looking any further !! You will not regret the decision. It was seriously a dream weekend, we did not want to leave this house!

Hi Darcella, I am glad you enjoyed your stay at Casa Blanca. I would like to address some of the things you mentioned in your review. 1. The fridge is less than one year old and in perfect working order. They only reason I can imagine it was not getting to the desired temperature is that a prior guest had modified the temperature settings or the door of the fridge was not closed properly for some period of time. (This happened to a prior guest). I wish you had brought this issue to the property manager's attention as he would have swiftly resolved the issue. 2. There are purposely no screens so as not to impede the amazing ocean views from the living room and master bedroom. 3. In regard to the bug issue, it is nearly impossible to avoid an occasional unwanted visitor inside the property especially if the doors are left open for long periods of time. I am certain that you would agree that the property is impeccably maintained. Thank you for the kind words and I hope you will consider Casa Blanca in the future!

Our Fabulous Trip and Tips!

WOW is the first I can say about this amazing house! It is incredible and such a phenomenal place. We are already planning next year's getaway and I am trying to convince my parents we should be in Mexico for the holidays! That said, I wanted to offer some tips I would have loved: 1. The first time you find Mission Viejo you will be looking for a "second" entrance - this is actually your place it is just the second driveway typically one would think is outbound traffic. 2. If driving from California utilize the website sent for insurance. 3. Bring lots of ice and coolers! The house has a fabulous kitchen but the freezer needs to be reset often to get cold. We brought popsicles and it was hard to get them frozen. 4. The house is freaking amazing!!! You will open all the windows and the floor to ceiling sliders in the living room are perfection. Ocean Breeze? Phenomenal! The only miss? There are no screen doors on anything. This means if you have small children I recommend bringing a baby gate. Also a Citronella candle will keep flies from coming inside. We did get flies since all windows were open but not a ton. Next time I will just bring a candle to alleviate any bugs. 5. The pool is phenomenal as is the hot tub! If you are bringing little ones bring pool toys. I wasn’t sure what to expect but the pool was sparkling and the hot tub was perfect temp our entire visit. 6. If you are a coffee lover I would say bring your own machine. We cleaned out the coffee pot and used it but it was definitely a bit old and took some working on. We are Keurig people so we had to remember how to add grinds and had a few misses in the beginning. No big deal, but if you are a coffee addict I would recommend bringing your own! 7. Real shoes! The beach is stunning but rocky- totally doable but if you want to zipline or do the Dunes- which are literally 5 minutes away you will need solid shoes. Bring sneakers/boots if you want to get ATV (YES!!) and sneakers for ziplining! 8. Ziplining- There are a few places to go and we stumbled upon one just up the coast approximately 5-10 miles. They have been open since August and were so nice- Children over the age of 5 can zipline and our two little ladies (almost 6) went! They were scared but the hosts helped them out and both base jumped at the second to last stop. The house and our hosts exceeded our expectations! We can't wait to return for wine tasting and other activities- We will be back and wouldn't stay anywhere else!

Hi Marianne, Thank you for the kinds words regarding Casa Blanca. We opted to not have screens on the windows as they obstruct the beautiful view of the ocean. Thank you for bringing the freezer issue to our attention. We have since had it repaired. We hope to see you at Casa Blanca Rosarito over the holidays!

It doesn't appear that much thought went into this review. We have never had any complaints in regard to the internet service or the pool. The pool is no different than what is represented in the photos on the ad that this guest made his reservation through. As such, the guests comments make no sense to me.

This is my second time staying at Casa Blanca & it was everything I remembered in the best way! Our host Luis was very responsive & helped us with so many things; transportation, getting ice, recommendations, etc. There were 10 of us & we enjoyed every moment! The house itself is beautiful as well!! I highly recommend Casa Blanca. :)

Beautiful view, great location, excellent service!

We thoroughly enjoyed our stay. The view is absolutely breathtaking. Since I generally agree with all the other great reviews, I wanted to highlight a few major perks that have gone unmentioned: The kitchen is simply fantastic. We were here over Thanksgiving and planned a dinner party. The spacious, modern, open-plan kitchen overlooks the dining area. It comes equipped with a Viking stove, microwave, plenty of storage and ample cooking supplies. We enjoyed many homemade meals here! The property is super dog-friendly. We brought our dogs with us, and I think they had the best vacation of all! The area is safe for leash walking. The master bedroom opens into the yard. They were able to safely roam the property and the private beach area. We didn't worry about them encountering any traffic or danger. There are grassy areas in the yard (which appear to be lacking in the other surrounding properties). The humans enjoyed lounging on the grass as much as the dogs did. This place is relaxing and stress-free for vacationing dog owners. Superb. Finally, as most reviewers mentioned, Luis the groundskeeper is AWESOME. We will definitely stay here again.

Will definitely return!

A total of 10 of us from Los Angeles stayed in this home for my bachelorette party and it was pure AMAZINGNESS! We ordered a van ("A Big Van") from San Diego to drive us into Rosarito and back ($200 each way). PROS: -the home is beautifully decorated and located in a gated community; we felt very safe -there is an awesome pool and jacuzzi located in the backyard -beautiful beachfront property -Luis, the property manager, is extremely attentive and can assist you in whatever you need -you can order massages/facials at the home or backyard (highly recommended!) -you can order food to be cooked in the home (also amazing!) -Valle de Guadalupe vineyards (aka the Napa of Mexico) is only 45 minutes away. We visited "El Encuentro" and "Trevista" wineries -a few restaurants are a short drive away -Shane, the homeowner, respond quickly via email CONS: -ValleUber doesn't pick up/drop off at the house -the cost of propane to heat the pool is extra -no stores/restaurants within walking distance Overall, it was a great stay and we highly recommend it anyone looking for a peaceful getaway.

BEST BACHELORETTE WEEKEND!!!

My closest friends and I have been talking nonstop about how fun this weekend was. The house is in a perfect spot overlooking the beach. The hot tub is nice and warm and the pool was perfect even without the heater on. We loved the giant kitchen space and big living room, even thought we spent most of our time in the big backyard watching the dolphins swim by! it was a very clean home. We had 16 ladies so there weren't enough beds for everyone but the air matresses and couch spaces came in handy. So just keep that in mind if you have a large group. We joined Ray with Baja Wine and Dine Tours for a tour of the Valle de Guadalupe wineries and he also set up to have chefs make us dinner that night. It seriously was a PERFECT day! The whole weekend was a dream and we made memories for years to come! Thank you for having us at your home!

This house has been so far the best vacation home I have ever stayed in. The house was so kid friendly and even had Netflix set up 👍. The bed sheets smelled cleaned and the house was spotless. Luis, the property manager was super nice, and extremely courteous with my family. The view was awesome and got to see some dolphins. I plan on making reservations very soon.

Beautiful weekend.

Wonderful home. The only challenge was ensuring sufficient cash for the propane (as opposed to being billed electronically or simply drawn from the deposit).

Thank you for the review! Unfortunately the security deposit is meant to be used for damages to the property not as payment for propane. In the future if guests notify me of their intention to heat the pool we can accept PayPal or Venmo payments as a separate deposit.

Hi Melissa, Thank you for the review. Apologies regarding the issue with the TV. Unfortunately the ocean breeze and electronics don't mix well (even for TV's that are less than one year old.). Premium Ocean View and Sounds!

Relaxing home with terrific view. The sounds of the waves and water running thru the rocks was amazing. Loved the neighborhood, you can take walks. Hot spa and pool were clean. We enjoyed the grass area to take in the sunset. Enjoyed our time in this house, we hope to return soon! Wine tasting in Valle De Guadalupe is highly recommended, we enjoyed the personal experience Lechuza offered.
