VAKKERT HUS restaureret gamle indvendige og udvendige, sten og bjælker, på sydterrasse 80 m2, på højderne af Sarlat, med sydvendt udsigt, stuplet på byens tage, på monumenter og bakker. Værelse, meget stille, grønne omgivelser og isoleret på toppen af en bakke. 350 meter til fods, centrum og alle butikker i nærheden, og markedet 2 gange om ugen onsdag og lørdag, 500 meter fra det historiske centrum og butikker. Privat opvarmet pool 11x5 på teak terrasse 60m2. Ingen direkte modsætning. Smuk stenterrasse på cirka 100 kvm med udsigt over byen og poolen, så du kan nyde solen hele dagen og solnedgangen bag bakkerne med en drink i hånden. Poolsalt, blødt for huden, svirrer ikke øjnene i modsætning til kloren.
Udesofa, babyfod, jumbo-taske og udendørs billard tilgængelig, mange brætspil, mange dvd'er. Udendørs bordfodbold og udendørs billardbord Ping pong, stor grill fast på terrassen, gasplade. 300/400 m fra centrum og butikker, og 500 m fra det historiske centrum, tilgængeligt med en lille bukolisk sti (eller 2 km i bil). Svingninger og miniglider til børn og mange spil: boule. Terrassen foran huset er lukket af en port, et barn kan ikke forlade det, så lukkes puljen af en anden dør. Den private parkering og på jorden kan rumme 2 biler eller meget mere ved manøvrering, og meget mere, hvis man parkerer i gyden. Højtydende aircondition i alle værelser. Udlejning fra lørdag til lørdag. Sengelinned og håndklæde er valgfri efter anmodning

What an amazing stay we had. Gorgeous view, fabulous pool, comfortable beds and everything we could want. Ten minutes’ walk into the heart of old Sarlat with restaurants and bars, ten minutes’ drive from canoes to tour down the Dordogne or a lovely little beach to relax in the afternoon - an absolutely wonderful stay with so much to offer. Thank you so much.

A great location with wonderful views over the town. The A/C was so welcome in the exceptionally hot conditions. Great pool and plenty of loungers and umbrellas. The host was one of the best that we have encountered and could not be more helpful at all stages of the holiday. We found a short walk into town below the house which allowed a quick trip to the bakers in the morning. Parking for our 3 cars was a bit tight but not an issue. Thoroughly recommended!

Amazing! If you have to judge a holiday rental by just 2 things you might select the comfort of the mattresses and the sharpness of the knives! On that basis this place would be 5*, but that’s just a small example of the attention to detail and overall excellence of the house. Sophie was the best host I have ever come across, nothing was too much trouble, she was thoughtful and helpful. From the welcome basket which was full of delicious local produce to the consideration of replacing a broken item Sophie was wonderful.The salt water pool and boujie outdoor shower were glorious, having a range of outdoor spaces and seating was ideal for our family.Location, facilities, host - all fantastic.

Fantastic for Family holiday

Pool was amazing, the house had everything you could need, kitchen utilities, games, baby cot and high chair, etc. Communication from owners was good. Wonderful location, could walk into Sarlat town easily. We would highly recommend!

Stayed here while visiting the area for our sons wedding. The property was lovely, the pool was amazing and the air conditioning was enjoyed by all in the heat wave. Sophie looked after us every inch of the day. We have rented many properties but Sophie must be the best host ever!

Excellent communication with the host, clean property and excellent outdoor facilities. Only 7 minute walk to Sarlat town and fabulous views over the rooftops from the house and heated swimming pool. We've spent most time outside, very hot, so air-conditioning appreciated inside otherwise it would have been intolerable. Small and tired but well equipped kitchen, lacking in sideboard space however. Dining inside only seats 6, and not enough sofa space (4 seats) for a house that sleeps 8. Sarlat itself was very busy due to French holidays (August), book restaurants ahead especially with large groups as very difficult to find any seats anywhere especially on market nights. Market days were so busy it was almost impossible to move around town. There were several evenings of street entertainment which kept the kids happy whilst we enjoyed a drink in the surrounding bars. Lots of families with young children about in Sarlat, very safe, and lovely architecture and streets to explore. Best visit first thing in the morning, avoid the heat and enjoy quiet streets and escape back to pool.

Fabulous villa in a great location

Well equipped family villa, great location and views over old Sarlat, fabulous pool and facilities to relax for a holiday in the Dordogne. Easy access to Sarlat down a path into town - you can leave your car behind. Fabulous time spent there, would definitely return and highly recommend. Owners were helpful and very responsive with lots of advice about restaurants and local places to visit.

Such a great place

This is a fantastic villa with an amazing swimming pool and location. It’s a lovely short walk in to town. Communication was fantastic. The facilities were as described, the pool table especially gave lots of entertainment and thank goodness for the great aircon. Honestly didn’t want to leave. Super comfy large beds we all slept so well. would highly recommend.

Superb Dordogne Stay

Fantastic stay in a wonderful location. Very close to the beautiful town of Sarlat, as well as close to the Dordogne river. Great base to explore the surrounding areas whilst having a beautiful view to accompany some splendid rouge vin during the night. Sophie was a great host with really quick communication on any questions we had. Very nice surprise of a keg of beer waiting for us. Only downside was some weeds were overgrown on the terrace hampering the view somewhat!

An amazing adventure in the center of Medieval History!

Sophie and Jean's home is the perfect location for a relaxing and amazing vacation. My three friends and I arrived in Sarlat and immediately relaxed in this gorgeous home. There was plenty of space for us all to have our own private comfortable rooms and also gorgeous locations for our joint gatherings. I can't say enough about the beauty of this home overlooking Sarlat, the comfort of the pool, and the blooming flowers everywhere! Sophie was easily accessible and so helpful with all of her suggestions. We definitely want to return!

The house is in an ideal quiet location with idyllic views. It’s a short walk to the centre of Sarlat and has easy access to surrounding attractions. The house had effective air conditioning and was well resourced. The pool was fabulous. The only minor issue was there were no rooms with en-suite toilets. The house was very good value and I would highly recommend it

Booked for 1 week last August but only stayed 2 nights. Property not cleaned properly, left over food in fridge, old bedding and BBQ etc. in gardens. Hot tub not cleaned so unusable whilst we were there. Owners unhelpful.

We had a fabulous week as a family here at the end of August. The house is very well equipped with a glorious pool, pool table, table tennis, 2x BBQ's etc. And everything you could possibly need inside. 4 really good sized Bedrooms, and enough bathrooms for everybody. It's a very short walk to town (15 mins) allowing you to benefit from the best of the town and what it has to offer, with its lovely local markets, entertainment and bars and restaurants. Further afield you are ideally positioned for local trips to the Dordogne, castles or caves, all of which can be reached in 30-40 mins or less. There are lots of facilities close by, with a large carrefour 5 mins drive to the North and a large E. Leclerc to the South. Communication with the owners was excellent, and they added some lovely little touches to make us feel welcome. The area is absolutely stunning, if you haven't been we would strongly recommend it, we loved the house. Thank you!

It’s great to hear that the pool, games, BBQs, and the comfort of the bedrooms and bathrooms all contributed to a relaxing stay. Being able to walk into Sarlat while also exploring the Dordogne, castles, and caves nearby is exactly what we love about this area, so we’re very happy you appreciated it too. Paradise in Sarlat

After opening the gates to Sophie’s property, we weren’t quite prepared for how amazing the view was over the town over Sarlat. With a larger than average pool directly overlooking the town as well, it was evident that this place had beauty in abundance. The house itself was very well laid out, with everything to hand and access to a fantastic terrace overlooking the pool and the town as well. The grounds were totally private and safely enclosed for our two dogs to enjoy. We were very grateful for the air conditioning in every room ( and the fantastic pool) especially considering the soaring temperatures outside. The town was easily accessible, with a footpath located right next to the entrance. 10 minute walk and you have the beautiful medieval town of Sarlat at your disposal, with all its restaurants and entertainment. Our only regret, is that we didn’t stay longer, but after 26 years of visiting France, I would say that this is definitely in our top three, but we won’t say which one!!!.

House with a view in Sarlat

We had a fantastic stay in Jean and Sophie's house in Sarlat. It's in an excellent position just a short walk to Sarlat town centre and an easy drive to most of the places you'd wish to visit. The view over Sarlat is stunning. The amenities were everything you need for all ages to enjoy and were well kept and in a good condition. One shower sprung a leak and the gates got stuck but were immediately fixed with minimum fuss. Thank you for that! The video of how to get to the house was incredibly useful as we arrived very late and in the dark and the food and drink left for us was a thoughtful and welcome touch - again thank you! The whole family and partners had a thoroughly happy week and we would definitely consider going back and recommend to anyone to stay in this beautiful house. The Buckley Family

Agréable maison idéalement située a proximité immédiate de Sarlat à piedNous y avons passé un très bon séjour et recommandons l'endroit Bon contact avec les loueurs et panier garni surprise à l'arrivée

Cette maison est un petit coin de paradis et nous avons en plus eu de la chance avec la météo qui était parfaite.Que ce soit la maison en elle-même qui offre une vue magnifique et tout ce qu'il faut pour passer de belles vacances, sa localisation parfaite à seulement 10 minutes à pied du centre-ville médiéval et à moins de 20-30 minutes en voiture de tous les sites remarquables autour de Sarlat ou le contact extrêmement agréable avec Sophie qui sait être disponible et présente sans en faire trop tôt, tout était parfait.Nous vous recommandons clairement cette maison pour vos vacances, que ce soit entre amis ou en famille.

Un immense merci pour ce magnifique retour qui nous touche beaucoup 🌷 Nous sommes ravis que vous ayez passé un si beau séjour à la maison et que la météo ait été au rendez-vous pour profiter pleinement de ce petit coin de paradis. C’est un vrai plaisir de savoir que vous avez apprécié à la fois la vue, le confort de la maison, son emplacement privilégié à quelques minutes du centre médiéval de Sarlat ainsi que la proximité des plus beaux sites du Périgord. Merci également pour vos mots si gentils concernant notre accueil et notre disponibilité. Nous essayons toujours d’être présents avec discrétion afin que chacun puisse profiter de ses vacances en toute sérénité. Votre recommandation nous fait particulièrement plaisir et nous espérons avoir le bonheur de vous accueillir de nouveau, en famille ou entre amis, pour un prochain séjour en Dordogne.

Emplacement idéal, très belle vue, tranquillité absolue, nombreux équipements outdoor, logement propre.Excellent accueil du propriétaire ( panier garni) et communication réactive et conviviale par la suite qui a permis de régler efficacement qq petits problèmes d’équipements sans conséquences pour la suite.Je recommande sans hésiter.

Un grand merci pour votre superbe retour, et pour ces excellents échanges tout au long de ces 2 semaines ! 🌞 Nous sommes ravis que vous ayez profité du calme, du confort de la maison , de la piscine et des équipements et jeux à l’extérieur, sans oublier la vue sur Sarlat, toujours aussi magique Même si le soleil a parfois joué à cache-cache lors de votre fin de séjour, nous savons que cela ne vous a pas empêchés de savourer de bons moments entre amis. Un grand merci également pour votre bienveillance et votre patience face aux petits imprévus techniques, réglés dans la bonne humeur :) Ce sera un réel plaisir de vous recevoir à nouveau à La Salamandre pour un prochain séjour, sous un ciel (encore plus) radieux !
