What an amazing place! The views did not disappoint, nor did the property as a whole. It is as beautiful as it looks. Our host was impeccable. Excellent communication, fantastic recommendations, and perfect accommodations. A special touch: we arrived late due to some flight issues, and Alfonso went to the house and turned on the electric blankets on our beds. It was chilly (we visited in late March), and it was such a thoughtful thing to do. Everything is well-stocked, it's a quick drive to the nature reserve, and really, we're just sad we couldn't stay longer. We highly recommend and hope to return one day!

Very nice stay in a very nice house.

House was in a way better condition than we expected. Everything was Clean and with modern and new amenities. The pool had an Awesome view over the entire area.

An amazing location

Alfonso is very kind and friendly. The welcome was warm. His home looks like the pictures, it's clean, towels etc. The view is amazing. It is good located (Zingaro park, beach, etc.) it's necessary to have a car. We highly recommanded it !!!!!

Paradise with a splendid host !!!

Property far exceeds expectations . Our host , Alfonso , was extremely helpful and a joy to know . The Villa is fabulous and spotless in every respect. We will certainly return and thank our host for his many kindnesses . Lovely

Alfonso was such a lovely, kind, generous and extremely helpful host. He went out of his way to greet us and make sure our stay at his beautiful villa was perfect. The villa is so special, the views are breath-taking and the villa inside was so clean tidy and had everything we needed. We loved our stay at Alfonso's villa and would not hesitate to recommend his villa to everyone. We can't wait to come back and visit again. Serene retreat in a most beautiful setting

The photographs on the website do not do the justice to the place. Views are spectacular, even on a cloudy day. While the kitchen is very small, it is quite sufficient (but there were only two of us...) and can be augmented by the garden BBQ. The access to the property was a bit tricky, but Alfonso provided us with the specific google link that allowed us to find the place without any problem. We highly recommend the place as a place that one will never forget!

The most relaxing holiday ever?

We booked our holiday with relatively little knowledge of Sicily or the specific location of Scopello, but were lucky enough to find ourselves possibly the most relaxing holiday ever! The location of the villa was perfect for us, as we wanted to combine a bit of adventurous activity (which we found by walking in the nature reserve) with easy access to restaurants and more accessible beaches when we didn't want to walk too far. Scopello village is a traditional delight, and we were amazed at the range of restaurants and bars for such a small place with a limited online presence.The villa itself had everything we needed, with the variety in the outdoor space being the key to our enjoyment. We used the pool (which i would class as a dipping, rather than swimming pool), barbeque and pizza oven during our stay, and were able to vary where we sat, relaxed and ate depending on the weather, because of the many options provided. One of the reasons we picked the specific villa was because of the pictures of the view, but the pictures really do not do justice to the reality. The view is simply magnificent, day and night, and once the children were in bed we spent many evenings just admiring the view across the bay with drink in hand. Alfonso is the ideal host- he was there when we needed him to help us find the villa when we arrived very late in the evening and got a bit lost, provided us with some fantastic local traditional food as a surprise, was contactable at all times and helpful when required, but otherwise let us get on with enjoying the property to ourselves. We often say the world is too small a place to go to the same place on holiday twice, but are seriously considering going back to Scopello and Palma del Zingaro again in the future.

moments in paradise

I spent our last moments in paradise, Scopello, a tiny village tucked between mountains and the sea, telling you why you must come to this special place on the northwest coast of Sicily. We have enjoyed 7 days here in a rented casa where we have lived like Sicilians, terrace to the sea in front with incredible view , garden with mountain view in the back. A hammock! Bird song all day long! Sea breezes! Palm trees and pines! Wild flowers, yours for the picking! Two bedrooms, living/dining room, wonderful kitchen, a strong shower with plenty of hot water, an outdoor grill, washer, and satellite with large tv lcd if you can tear yourself away from the amazing views. Both bedrooms have generous closet space so you can stash everything and live like you own the place. We felt at home in this spacious house – our biggest problem was whether to eat our meals looking at the sea, or looking at the mountains. This is a spot to relax, to read, to write, to nap, to cook – or not. Within a 20-minute walk you will reach the center of the town with its sleepy little piazza where the bars serve sfingione (a kind of pizza bread) and pane cunzato (a very particular sandwich of the area) and the ristoranti specialize in fresh fish and vegetables of the season. The town center has a working produce farmette where you can find lettuce, tomatoes, onions, potatoes and fresh fruits to go. The bluest, clearest water you can imagine with a beach nestled in a small cove with mountains sloping to the sea. We don’t know about summer, but in May we owned the beach – the weather fluctuating between perfect and almost perfect every day. The hilly land makes for challenging and fun runs to the sea (for the not-so-fleet-of-foot a 10 minute walk). The property is a 5-minute walk to the entrance of the Zingaro reserve which offers exciting mountain vistas at every turn, beaches, and rugged rock formations jutting out of the sea. the owner was really friendly, welcoming, helpful and couldn't have more for us, from meeting us late evening when we arrived through to checking we had everything we needed in the week." the owner Alfonso was really friendly, welcoming, helpful and couldn't have more for us, from meeting us late evening when we arrived through to checking we had everything we needed in the week. Peace and tranquility with incredible views

The villa was perfect and had incredible views - wake up early to watch the sun rise - it's amazing. It was so peaceful on top of the bay overlooking everything. Alfonso was the perfect host and was so kind in sorting out a small problem we encountered - he is our best sicilian friend now! It was a shame not to say goodbye but maybe we will visit again one day. He also provides a good range of wines to try and you pay as you drink. There is also an outside kitchen with gas hobs and sinks and also there is a barbeque if you prefer. If it is hot, then only walk to the first beach in the nature reserve as it is beautiful. The reserve costs 5 Euro each with no discounts for young people apart from proof of being a student and avoid the weekend if possible - you can see the free car-park from the villa so you can make sure there is space when you drive down the hill. The local beach below the villa is fine but you pay a euro an hour to park which is ok and we fould the western end to be nicest as there was smaller shingle into the sea. Make sure you bring snorkels as there are fish everywhere. Alfonso provides beach towels and an umbrella and ice blocks to help keep your drinks cool. Take a 20 minute walk to Scopello in the evenings for meals or drinks - we went to the restaurant and the bar in the Baglio which was lively and fun and the cafe outside is great for breakfast and cold granitas. The supermarket just outside Scopello provides enough for most needs and has good bread and a deli counter for meat and cheeses etc. If you visit the Tonnara, park above it and arrive early to grab some chairs as otherwise you will put your towel on the concrete which is still ok because the view is so pretty There are drinks and snacks available from vending machines. San Vito is well worth a day trip for the big sandy beach and I recommend paying for the lido chairs for this beach - it's worth it. Segesta is worth visiting and make sure you also buy a ticket for the bus service up to the amphitheatre - it's quite a walk - the views are amazing and bring your passports for discounts for young people. Erice was ok for the views but not worth the drive so maybe combine this with San Vito or Segesta and certainly don't bother paying to go round the Norman castle. Avoid visiting Palermo by car and if possible get an automatic hire car so it is easier to go up the steep tracks to the villa.Thank you so much Alfonso and don't be too hard on your son - he will grow up just fine!

Perfect house in a perfect location!

Alfonso is a very sweet, hjælsom and accommodating host. We felt welcome immediately. The house is cozy and charming and has what you need. The location is absolutely stunning with breathtaking views. The area around Scopello is perfect for excursions. Nature is beautiful and there are good restaurants in Scopelly city. Traumhaft schön

Wir haben eine Woche im wunderschönen und liebevoll gepflegten und eingerichteten Ferienhaus verbracht. Alles was es zum leben und wohlfühlen braucht, ist vorhanden und der Gastgeber ist sehr freundlich und hilfsbereit, er hat immer ein offenes Ohr für uns gehabt. Wir inkl. Hund haben uns pudelwohl gefühlt. Vor Ort kann man vieles unternehmen und alles ist in unmittelbarer Nähe. Unser persönliches Highlight ist die Aussicht auf die Natur vom Ferienhaus aus. Dankeschön noch einmal für die Gastfreundschaft. Bis demnächst.

Toller Ausblick

Schönes Haus, mit grandioser Aussicht. Sauber und gepflegt. Schön angelegter Garten. Steile Anfahrt, aber nach ein, zwei Anfahrten kein Problem mehr. 4 Erwachsene als Gäste sind allerdings das Maximum. Unkomplizierter Kontakt mit Vermieter Alfonso bei Anreise und Fragen.

Wonderful property

This property had obviously been lovingly cared for. As others have stated, the view is spectacular and the outdoor spaces thoughtfully arranged. The owner was a great host, easy to communicate with and gave us all the information we needed. The wines he offers for purchase are excellent! The time we spent at this rental was peaceful, comfortable and the highlight of our Sicily stay. Highly recommend!

Dream vacation

The owner, Alfonso, was wonderful. He met us at the property and was always responsive. The property is more spectacular than the photos. The location couldn’t be better. Close to entrance to Zingaro reserve , and a 30 ‘walk to Scopello. We were 6 adults and had 3 bedrooms, 1 inside bathroom, 1 outside and 2 outdoor (private ) showers which we loved.

Villa mit traumhafter Aussicht

Die Villa liegt am Rande des Nationalparks dello Zingaro. Es hat eine phantastische Aussicht über den Golf von Castellamare. Die Terrasse haben wir genutzt, um draussen zu Essen und Sonnenbaden. Die Nähe zum Nationalpark, zu Scopello, San Vito Lo Capo, Trapani und die Strände in der Umgebung, machen es zu einem idealen Ort für Wanderlustige, Kulturbegeisterte und Meerbegeisterte.

Absolutely perfect!

What a wonderful holiday! Alfonso was so helpful and the check-in was great - we didn't arrive until quite late but Alfonso was there to greet us and give us all the info on the house and the area. Everything was very clean and the house had everything we needed. The outdoor space is stunning - we spent one day of our holiday just hanging out at the villa, as it's such a peaceful and beautiful place to be. The house is brilliantly situated, as it is peaceful, but you can also walk to the town (very pretty, with a good selection of restaurants), a local beach, and Zingaro Nature Reserve (recommended!! The water at the beaches is perfection). Erice is not to be missed as a day trip. I would absolutely recommend this property for your holiday - 10 out of 10 - thanks Alfonso!

Dream house

Very nice view on the gulf, quiet place and you can totally live outside! We loved the Scopello area with nice beaches and the Zingaro reserve just nearby is clearly a must. Top woning en locatie

Mooi ingerichte villa, alles voldoende aanwezig. Goede verzorging door eigenaar, vriendelijk en reageerd snel. Staat ook klaar voor tips en adviezen. Wij hebben oprecht genoten en kunnen deze villa van harte aanbevelen. Ook in de omgeving veel te zien en te doen. Huurauto is wel een must vinden wij. Alfonso bedankt!!

The Most Beautiful View and Location

What an absolutely beautiful location this home has. The view is breathtaking. There were a total of 6 adults on this trip and the home was plenty spacious enough. We enjoyed that gorgeous view in the mornings, afternoons and at night looking at the lights of Castellammare de Golfo and Palermo. I could hear the waves crashing from the open window in the bedroom.I LOVED that. The home itself is extremely clean and furnished with everything you could possibly need; glasses, dishes, towels, extra pillows and even wine to purchase if you set that up before hand. The living room is inviting and cozy, the kitchen is fully functional with toaster, blenders and more. The bedrooms had shelving, air conditioning and fans and were very comfortable. The deck where we spent many evenings just relaxing is absolutely amazing!! The location itself on the West coast was ideal for us. One great feature is that its close to Scopello Market. We picked up food, snacks, wine, pastries, sandwiches, salami, proscuitto, peach juice etc there. Very convenient. At night we took a 5 minute ride to Scopello's tiny city center to enjoy casual dinners after our busy days. During the week we were there we went to Erice (1 hour), Trapani (50 minutes), Cefalu (2 hours..and not to be missed!) and Agrigento (2 hours). Castellammare de Golfo is about 15 minutes away and Palermo airport is only 50 minutes away. The home was in the perfect position for us to enjoy day trips with our rental car. The house is located on the border of the Zingaro Reserve and I highly suggest you hike this. Its a tad strenuous and there are steep parts but the payoff of seeing the views is worth it. You can walk there or I would suggest parking the car below because its quite steep returning to the house. Alfonso is VERY very nice and helpful. From before we left for the trip with all my questions to us trying to find the house (its not hard once you know where it is! :) to answering other questions he was wonderful. I would highly recommend this home on the west coast, away from all the craziness of the bigger cities. The view is so beautiful - today is our first day back and it was so sad not waking up to the ocean. I think I'm going to print up one of my beautiful photos and put it on my bedroom wall so I can ALWAYS wake up to that view. Thank you Alfonso - my family and I loved our trip in your beautiful home and we can't thank you enough!. Arrivederci! Until we meet again!!

Fabulous stay in a lovely villa with the most incredible sea view

From the moment Alfonso greeted us at his beautiful villa we felt relaxed and very happy with our choice. The accommodation is spacious and well equipped. The outside space is the highlight with beautiful gardens and a cooling plunge pool with views across the bay. Scopello is a short drive away and very picturesque with plenty of good restaurants and bars, some with sea views. The nature reserve is just down the hill and there are a number of lovely beaches nearby. We would definitely like to return.

Relaxen in super schöner Umgebung

Das Ferienhaus hat unsere Erwartungen übertroffen. Der Blick vom Haus auf das Meer und die umliegenden Hügel ist traumhaft. Das Haus liegt perfekt am Hang über dem Meer. Attraktiv ist auch die Nähe zum Naturschutzgebiet, das sehr schöne Wanderungen und Badegelegenheiten bietet. Zum nächstgelegen Strand kann man vom Haus aus in ca. 15 Minuten laufen (der Rückweg ist aber recht anstrengend, da es nur bergauf geht). man kann aber in nur 5 Minuten mit dem Auto an den Strand gelangen, der ^zwar klein, aber sehr schön ist. Insgesamt ist die Gegend um Scopello sehr schön. Das Gelände um das Haus ist sehr schön angelegt, mit vielen Sitzgelegenheiten, von denen man die schöne Aussicht genießen kann. Das Haus ist sehr gut ausgestattet, es fehlte uns an nichts. Das Haus und das Grundstück sind sehr sauber und gepflegt. Die Begrüßung durch den Eigentümer war sehr freundlich und professionell. Meine beiden Kinder, mein Mann und ich haben uns sehr wohlgefühlt und würden jederzeit wiederkommen! Vielen Dank!

Touch of paradise

There is not much that we can add to all the previous reviews. They say all the wonderful things about the house, Scopello and Alfonso. We felt at home as soon as we arrived. The house is so well equiped, with so many touches that make it so welcoming: the bottles of good sicilian wine, different typical products, at very good prices, and all the basics in the kitchen (oil, vinegar, spices, etc). We especially enjoyed the huge outside space, where you can sit, eat and contemplate the marvelous views from different parts of the terraces. Finally the litlle pool, where we spent lot of time, watching distant horizons during the day, and charmed at night by all the glittering lights on earth and above... Thank you so much Alfonso!
