We enjoyed our stay at this Santa Cruz VRBO home while in town for a wedding. The location was one of the highlights, just a block from the beach and within easy walking distance to restaurants and a nearby market. There was even a farmers market on Sunday! The one‑story cottage‑style home felt quiet and welcoming, with plenty of parking out front. The tall fence and lovely front garden added a nice sense of privacy and a “secluded getaway” vibe. The backyard was fully concreted and equipped with a BBQ, outdoor heater, and jacuzzi, which made it easy to relax and enjoy the space, though we wished the conwebs and items were better kept. Our host was very accommodating and quick to respond to any questions or requests, which we truly appreciated.A few things to note: the floor from the kitchen to the main bedroom seemed noticeably sloped, which at times created a slight vertigo-like feeling. The home’s décor and touches were tasteful, but the bath and beach towels were quite aged and very rough to the skin. We were disappointed that the bikes in the shed all had flat tires and weren’t maintained, as we had hoped to use them to explore the area.Overall, despite the few drawbacks, we enjoyed our stay and appreciated the home’s charm, location, and responsive host. Great place to stay to enjoy the local beach area!
