Unfortunately, the rating system only allows for 5 stars when evaluating the hosts and the stay. Based on our experience, at least 7 stars would be appropriate. The hosts were very helpful and gave us wonderful suggestions for our outings. We had an absolutely fantastic stay in this beautiful house and would love to come back.

Idyllic retreat

Well equipped, extremely clean gite in stunning location, with Marcia the owner being the perfect host. This was the most peaceful location we have ever stayed in, yet close to all the main sightseeing in this area of the Dordogne. I can't recommend this property more highly.

Wonderful property, hosts and area, highly recommend

Spent a fabulous 2 weeks in this wonderful home from home property. Our first time exploring this area, Vézère and Dordogne are both beautiful. Marcia and Neil are perfect hosts and so knowledgeable of the area, given us lots of guidance and advise of places to visit. We will certainly be recommending the property and the area.

Quiet, clean en a great hostess! We’ve had a nice stay. You do need a car for everything but that’s the price you pay for real privacy!

8/10 Godt

Ideal quiet gite in central location within an easy drive to most of the local towns and villages

We had a 6 night stay at Petit Paradis in May and found it clean, tidy and well furnished. it is an ideal location to explore the local villages and towns together with the local caves and chateaus. The Gite is quite new and although attached to the main house, there is plenty of privacy but the Owner is close by and very helpful if you ask her for advice or recommendations. The surrounding area is typical of the Dordogne with picturesque rural villages within easy reach by car. We had a most enjoyable stay and certainly hope to return at some stage in the future.

Just what it says on the tin !

We loved our stay here. Everything was provided for a great stay . As we arrived on a Sunday no shops or restaurants were open and she kindly did some shopping for us in advance and when we arrived it was in the fridge waiting for us. Nothing was too much trouble . We especially liked the hens and chicks who were very entertaining . Thanks Marcia

Le Petit Paradis is certainly was!!

Le Petit Paradis lives up to its name. It's a stylish, well-appointed gite with state of the art cooking appliances. The gite was so thoughtfully put together by Marcia who met us on arrival and who was on hand but at the same time discreet. Sadly the weather took a turn for the worse and we were unable to take advantage of the lovely pool and generous outside space (we managed a few reading sessions in between showers). The Dordogne area surrounding the gite is lovely and there are many attractions nearby although a car is needed. Marcia's knowledge of the area is second to none and she was an extremely lovely host. Best gite we stayed in by far! We thoroughly enjoyed our stay and hope to return soon.

Excellent gite

Beautiful location in the heart of the Dordogne with a great view of a chateau from the outdoor pool. Supermarket only10 minutes drive away, nearest town of Sarlat about 40 minutes drive. The host Marcia is very helpful and accommodating, and the gite is spotlessly clean and had everything we required. Highly recommended.
