Can’t beat the location. Outdoor patio is right by the pool and a boardwalk for beach access is next to it. Pictures of the property online were pretty true to the unit though the oven/stove is actually a glass top and a little more updated than the one in the booking photos. About a 10-15 minute drive from downtown Fernandina Beach which was a great spot for local shopping and dining. Also only about a 10 minute drive to the closest grocery store. Pretty clean but the shower curtain liner in the bathroom was due for replacement. Easy check-in and check-out.

Our unit was clean. It was a one bedroom/one bath unit. The kitchen, living room, dining area and bedroom were nice size. The closet in the bedroom was a very nice size.The beach and pool were very nice.A downside was the bathroom. The bathroom itself was very small. Counter space around the sink was minimal. The shower had minimal water pressure. A major annoyance was that the bathroom continually had small flying bugs. We think the bugs may have been coming from the bathroom sink drain. These bugs were nowhere else in the unit.Also, lack of lighting over the front door made it difficult to use the digital lock.

We don't think the condo had been cleaned in a few weeks. There was mold and mildew in the bathroom (shower, sink, shower curtain, etc), the floors had not been vacuumed or mopped, there were hairs between and under the sheets when we got there, dead and live bugs all around the condo, and sand on the furniture.

Cleanliness/ usefulness was most disappointing:-Picked up by hand lint & remnants left on living rm rug-difficult seeing through smudged windows-need replaced as us cleaning them did not help-no door to soap dispenser in dishwasher so waited manually to add soap-bath rm sink dripping-displayed place mats had to be cleaned prior to use-cracked wine glass came apart in my hand -tub so slick, spouse fell out, over toilet pulling down shower curtain and rod. No injury! Found ugly mat under sink

A Wonderful Stay!

My husband and I had a wonderful time staying at this condo for a wedding we had to attend in the area. Super close to the beach and a lovely view. We love visiting Amelia Island and hope to come back soon!

The unit is dated. Part of the unit is updated. Kitchen is original, counter tops and cabinets need to be replaced. Windows and patio doors are fogged up. Outside of dryer that is in the kitchen is rusty.

Everything was good - booking, communication, pricing, location, etc. My disappoint is rooted in two things - 1) toilet paper: the role on the holder had 2 sheets/squares on it. There was not another roll in the entire condo. If you’re going to provide shampoo, soap, a hairdryer, etc., toilet paper should be automatic. 2) the kitchen sink smelled horrible - noticed it when I arrived, but didn’t give it much thought. However, once in the kitchen - the odor was pungent from the sink, with fruit flies around the kitchen coming from the sink. I washed and scrubbed the sink, as well as running the disposal - which ended up as the source, being full of food for who knows how long. Even after clearing and cleaning the sink - the smell remained for the entirety of my stay.

After being spoiled by our VRBO stay for the 7 prior days on Jekyll Island, I cannot echo the same comments for this property. Before commenting on our concerns, I will offer the pluses-multiple rolls of toilet paper as well as bath towels, and multiple coffee options for the drip coffee maker. Easy access to the beach was a real plus as well. Now the rest of the story-furnishings were dated and not comfortable, carpet in the bedroom closet was soaking wet, when I called to report it, I was told it was a result of recent steam cleaning activity, yet no other carpeting in the unit was wet. There was mold on the plastic shower curtain liner and rust on and around the front door. The TV in the living room had a haze on the screen and the picture was never clear. We had a first floor unit and the sound of little kids running in the unit above us was surprisingly loud putting into question the structural and sound proofing integrity of this property. The keypad on the entrance door is digital and very hard to read, and the keypad at the entrance gate was inoperative. Unfortunately we did not enjoy our 2 day stay.

Nice and Quiet

First time staying at Amelia surf and racquet club.. very quiet and relaxing area.. not over crowded and beach area was clean and very relaxing. Room was comfy .. just one issue with the shower head . Not sure it’s a water pressure issue or the actual shower head but it could use some attention other than that 5 star stay for me and I’ll be back!
