Great unit. The main living area is amazing. The downside is the alley can be a little loud in the morning with people working in the restaurants right next door. There is a light that shines in the two downstairs bedrooms all night. Didn’t really want to open those 2 windows downstairs because of the alley. Downstairs got a little warm with windows closed. Overall great unit in great location.

Rating Details: The property manager was very helpful. The vacation rental was spotless. I was very happy with the location. I was very satisfied with the condition of the vacation rental. Overall, I recommend this vacation rental. Reviewer Comments: The only issue was the smoke from the commercial BBQ from the custom house. A few of us went home sick from the constant breathing of smoke that seeped into the condo. I have had a sore throat and my wife a cough that is most likely from the smoke inhalation.

Great stay

Great place, accurate description, easy to check in. Perfect spot for a quiet beach getaway (lots of wine glasses!!!) Really enjoyed our stay and the area.

Wonderful Stay

Incredibly clean, and a very well stocked (pots pans etc) kitchen in a perfect location (steps from the waterfront and beach). We loved it. The Master bed and bathroom were fantastic. We had a wonderful time there.

Great location close to beach

Family reunion weekend. This was a great location for kids and adults. The house had lots of games and kids books which was wonderful. Easy walk to the beach and shops and easy drive to Cal Poly where we went to several events.

Location Location Location

Wonderful spot - 1/2 block from beach. Enjoyed our stay with family. The grandchildren loved the beach no playgrounds. Condo is well equipped and clean.

Great Location

Great location and spacious layout – perfect for large families! The living areas were comfortable, and the kitchen was well stocked with everything we needed. Communication with the rental company was easy and they were always very helpful. Just a heads up: beach towels and chairs are not provided, so it's best to bring your own. You can rent them at the store next door, but prices are a bit high. Overall, a awesome stay - highly recommend!

Excellent Location, has a great Weekend

We loved our stay, the condo is very pretty. excellent location just a bit noisy being next to an Alley where the restaurant garbage bins are picked up early in the morning. But worth it!!

Thanksgiving getaway

Great location everything is within walking distance the beach, wine tasting, restaurants, shopping etc. The house was perfect size for my family, common area’s to hang out together and enough room to spread out when needed. It was very clean, easy check in and out. The communication from the rental agent was very responsive.

Another Amazing Stay at Avila Beach

This is our second time staying at 55 San Miguel and it was a very positive experience. You can’t beat the location. Steps from the beach, shops, restaurants. Unit was clean upon arrival and had all the amenities we needed. Was able to do laundry and use a fully equipped kitchen which is key for a family of 6. Hope to stay again next summer!

The location was perfect-walking distance to beach. Large family room and kitchen had all necessary things. One thing I would recommend to the owner is to put a blackout curtains or darker window coverings in the bottom 2 bedrooms. The neighbors had bright lights all whole night. Other than that it was a great location for takeout and easy check in and check out.

Don’t plan on sleeping in, ever. The noise from the street echoes up very loudly at around 6am every day. Even a car door closing sounds loud. It’s just the how the location is. You can’t go to sleep early, because the noise from the bar across the street echoes up and also the wine bar is by the master bedroom- the guy cleans up and drags metal chairs around at 11:30pm. He also smokes pot after he’s done cleaning so our bedroom filled up with weed smell. Also, curtains don’t block much light so it’s very bright in every room at night. But if you want to be super close to the beach, and don’t need a lot of sleep, this place definitely is perfect for location! I knew about the noise from other reviews but the location was more important to me. In retrospect I’m not sure I would do it again because of the noise. The interior was spotlessly clean. But the window screens on some of the windows are covered in a thick layer of dirt. If you plan on cooking, make sure that you test the range first. We were having my in laws over for dinner and needed 3 burners - only one worked. So, needless to say dinner was quite late. If you are cooking, also take inventory early on so that you can drive somewhere to pick up ingredients. There aren’t any grocery stores near by, and the only possible place for basics is Avila Market which closes early. The grill was not clean, either. Make note that no supplies are replenished so you’ll need to purchase more shampoo and paper towels.

Beautiful spot in Avila Beach

We had a Mother's Day weekend with the kids and stayed here--it was awesome! The only thing that could have been improved was the weather. The condo was 1/2 block from the beach--couldn't ask for a better location. The unit was beautifully decorated, and very spacious. More than enough room for all 8 of us (all adults). The Master bedroom & bath was luxurious and just beautiful. The kitchen was large & very well-stocked. The only thing I needed & couldn't find was a vegetable peeler! We were very happy with the rental agency as well, they were very accommodating & easy to work with. Overall, a lovely stay in a beautiful location!

Beautifully Decorated Condo, Great Location

This townhouse is beautifully decorated and perfectly clean. We really enjoyed how close it is the beach--you don't even have to cross a street to get to the beach. Some of the furniture and art has been changed since the photos were taken--it's actually nicer than it looks in this listing! Since it is so close to everything, there is a bit of street noise, especially in the mornings. Also, sadly the drain in the giant master bathtub wouldn't plug, so it was not usable. This was a great place to stay, and we really enjoyed our time there--would rent this space again!
