Not good

Rating Details: The property manager was very unhelpful. The vacation rental was somewhat dirty. I was very happy with the location. I was very dissatisfied with the condition of the vacation rental. Overall, I do not recommend this vacation rental. Reviewer Comments: We did not have the good stay at this vacation rental. first of all, the rental needs to state there is no A/C and only one window opens for air. Also, that the unit faces the busiest street, and it is obnoxiously loud. The bed is a full and in horrible condition my husband slept on the couch that is not even a couch which was also uncomfortable. We both woke up with back pain. Please take some unsolicited advice and make the unit more comfortable to accommodate for the bad location. To top it all off the water heater went out and instead of moving us we waited for 2 hours while the owner/Maintenace sat on the phone with tech support to fix it. Oh, and there is more we did not bring shampoo and asked if we could get some and they did not believe there was none and had us take a picture to prove it. This was our 27th wedding anniversary and was probably the worst place we have ever stayed. I would not recommend this place. READ THE OTHER REVIEWS!

301 Valentina is Great for Two

301 Valentina is beautiful and was great for the two of us. Note that this rental might feel a bit cramped for more than two people. It was clean and all the amenities (especially the gated parking area, washer & dryer and Keurig coffee maker) were great and much appreciated. The property manager (Coastal Vacation Rental staff) is awesome! - they are friendly, professional quick to respond and answered all of our questions. We also appreciated the text updates about the rental before we arrived.Lastly, we loved how close Valentina was to downtown Pismo and the beach... all within walking distance. Thankfully, it was relatively quiet in Pismo during our stay, so outside noise wasn't an issue. The only suggestions I have are (1) Provide more white washcloths - there were only a few and we had to do a load of laundry just to have fresh wash cloths. (2) Replace your white towels after they become discolored/dingy looking. (3) It would be nice if the bathroom had a countertop for toiletries, hair tools, etc. I had to use the nearby desk outside of the bathroom for these items. Hopefully a bathroom upgrade is in 301 Valentina's future :). (4) Perhaps move the bed closer to the door leading to the living area - maybe like six inches so that there is a bit more room to get out of the bed on the side - it was almost right up against the wall side closest to the window. (5) I understand that the futon is practical as another sleeping area/bed, but it wasn't very comfortable to just sit on while watching TV. Some reviewers complained about the (Italian-themed?) music playing throughout the building - it was actually pretty subtle and didn't bother us. These are all minor things and we would still consider staying at this or another Valentina Suite again. But even if not Valentina Suites, we definitely plan on renting through Coastal Vacation Rentals in the future. Thank you for a great experience.

Our 2nd Stay

Rating Details: The property manager was very helpful. The vacation rental was clean. I was happy with the location. I was more than satisfied with the condition of the vacation rental. Overall, I recommend this vacation rental. Reviewer Comments: We 1st stayed at Valentina last summer in a 3 bedroom unit in the 200's and were very happy with our accommodations, so we thought we'd give it a 2nd try. This time we only needed one bedroom since it was just my husband, our 3-year old and myself.Positives: When making comparisons and booking, I found that this suite was very reasonably priced. Our room was ready on time and there was plenty of parking. Also always love that there's a bellman cart to use. Our unit again had modern furniture and appliances and the kitchen and living room were great spaces. There's a nice entertainment system and surround sound. The bathroom is huge. The property overall is beautiful. We love the location as well--a very easy walk to the beach and main drag with all of the shops and restaurants.Cons: This side of building is much noisier than the ocean side. The cars and delivery trucks on Price Street can be very loud, especially when you need the windows open in the summer months for cooler air. The bedroom is VERY small. You can't even open the closet or bathroom doors all the way. Poor building planning since they easily could have taken feet off of the bathroom and the living room to make the bedroom more manageable. Also hated that you could not open any windows in the bedroom. It was quite stuffy since it reach higher temps each day we were there. When we stayed on the ocean side last year, we were able to get much better breezes through the unit, so no air-conditioning wasn't as much of an issue. As we went to go to bed, we soon realized that the floors were quite dirty by the looks of the bottoms of our feet. Like last time, you could hear every step of the people above us as well. Overall though, we still really like Valentina Suites and we will most likely be back soon...just on the ocean side of the building for sure! We've also recommended Valentina to many friends.
