We planned a mother/daughter trip before she headed off to college. It was a great location, everything you need is walkable. Would definitely stay here again! Only downfall was the constant drip from the balcony above us, and honestly that was the least of our concerns!!

We had a great stay. The condo is large, clean, and comfortable. The beach and pool are nice, and you can walk to a couple of restaurants. Overall a great spot.

I loved staying here!! The unit was spacious and situated on a corner of the building with two large windows looking over the city. We had everything we needed - the beach towels, chairs and cooler were perfect! Thank you!!

The studio apartment has the best views of the city and the ocean. There is a quaint kitchenette to accommodate your needs. An oversized couch for a third guest and a very comfortable king size bed make for nice sleeping arrangements. The pool is clean and is a nice reprieve after a long day in the sun. Zoe is a fabulous host and is very responsive to requests and questions. Would stay here again!

I really enjoyed my stay here. It was perfect size for a single traveler. Good neighborhood with good restaurants within a block or two. Access to the beach was a little longer than I expected but it was still an easy walk. 24 hr security was reassuring.

Great location short walk to everything

Will definitely stay here again…neighbors and property management was excellent. Easy access to everything on Ashford…can’t wait to book next trip ❤️

close to everything

the apartment is perfect for guests who want to discover San Juan. it’s close to buses, restaurants, shops and the beach.we super recommend it and would love to come back.

As advertised, and very nice unit

Good location and perfect for a couple. Appreciated the cooler and beach chairs that were provided. Sheets were crisp and clean and floors were very clean. Thanks for the opportunity to stay!

I have been there a few times and is always good.The host always prompt and on it, if I need to communicate with her. The building is clean and security personnel on site are helpful and friendly.I am looking forward to stay there again. I recommend the place.

Great location, safe, convenient to everything

Great little efficiency with easy access to beach, stores, restaurants. Having underground parking is major perk. Appliances could use updating/not working well/old, and some addl plates, towels, silverware, glasses, sheets would be nice. Otherwise it was easy and great stay.

Very nice. I will come back to this location. I feel safe due to the fact that they have a 24 hour guards. They are nice and help full to All my guestions and concerns. The building is clean and the studio is quiet even when is a busy location. I liked the sunrise and sunsets at this place. Thank You Zoe.

Never again

Communication with host was not great arrived in San Juan late 11pm and code for the door would not work called host over a dozen times no response even the security guard called no response waited till 1 am no response with my kids ended up having to pay over 4k to stay somewhere else last minute two hotels and trip was ruined 😡 didn’t hear from host till next day I will give you refund not sure what happened which really is unacceptable imagine two kids medications that need to be refrigerated and no response at 11 pm never again

Irma, as stated with previous messages it was the first time that our phone for some reason didn’t have signal at that time even the guard was surprised cause I always answer no matter if its at midnight. Same day at 6am guard went to the apartment and opened with the code provided with no problem, we honestly don’t know what happened. We offered to refund those nights if you wanted to come back. You demanded full refund and we processed it immediately. To this day we don’t know what happened, we haven’t had any problems with late check in or door code.

Perfect

The apartment is a perfect jumping off point for your stay in San Juan. It is exactly as pictured - very clean, lots of light, and with a gorgeous ocean view. I spent most of my time on the patio watching sunrises and sunsets. The apartment is fully stocked with amenities, and check-in and communication could not have been easier. You're positioned in the center of Condado with restaurants, bars, and convenience stores (CVS, Walgreens) on the same block. The building has a very nice pool, and of course you're 1 block from the beach. I found the building gym to be lacking - but you're very close to a great running/biking trail that goes along the ocean to Old San Juan, as well as lots of boutique fitness studios for yoga, pilates, cycling, etc. Condado is very safe and suitable for a single traveler. The building security is always present, and Ashford Avenue is always well lit and safe to walk around alone at night. Trendy Loiza Street is a short 20 min walk to great restaurants, coffee shops, bars and boutiques. Traveling to other neighborhoods (Old San Juan, Santurce, etc.) is just a short uber ride away. Would definitely stay again!

Recommend putting a little $ into updating: Linens, pillows, duvet cover, towels and throw pillows!

Our stay was Dec 24 -28 2016. On the plus side and why I gave a 2 star rating: The mattress itself was very comfortable, the pool area was quite nice and the unit was very conveniently located but that was about it! We have stayed in many VRBO rentals around the world and have been very pleased so this one was a bit of a surprise and shock to us. The pictures look very nice on the web site and the add says "NEW" but in person everything was very run down. All of the linens and pillows were very old and worn. The throw pillows were all very dirty along with the seat cushions on the couch. You could see major butt prints where people had been sitting. There were large yellow stains on the duvet cover as well as a few of the pillows. All of these factors were a huge turn off! The rest of the studio was very sparse and to be honest a little grubby, especially the shower. The air conditioner was very erratic. If it was running you were freezing cold and when it wasn't you were stifling hot. Would not recommend this property to anyone and would not stay again. Very surprised that the owner doesn't take a little more pride in her property! Put a little money out and buy some new pillows, linens, throw pillows, duvet cover, towels/face clothes and deep clean the couch! Disappointing to say the least.

Just know there could be issues

I really liked the space and the location and thereis a nice pool. What you won't be told is that the elevators have issues and the power sometimes goes out. The problems with the elevators is ongoing. I spoke with other tenants there who said they've been having the same problems for a couple of years. The problem is that they stop working. The left elevator only worked one of the 8 days I was there. This meant you had an extra wait because all 26 floors had to use the one remaining elevator. The right elevator also stopped working 2 days before my departure. I had to climb up and down the stairs 17 flights a couple of times to get to and from the unit while both of them were out. There was also a power outage, lasting several hours. The elevator issue was not at all related to the power being out. The elevators were down well before the power went out. I guess I was lucky that the power went out sometime late in the night. It got pretty warm that morning when the sun came up. You can open the windows but then you're just letting in the diesel exhaust from the surrounding generators. This building has a generator but it only powers the lobby and one outlet in the common hallways....no AC for you. The sofa looks nice but if you try to relax on it the back support pillow things just fall off. So, if you can be aware and overlook these things it is pretty nice place to stay

Daniel, glad you like the apartment and the location. The problem with the power has been an ongoing problem for several months in all Puerto Rico not the building (check the news regarding LUMA power company). When there is inconsistency with the power electronics tend to suffer including elevators, appliances etc. The building has been dealing with this issue for several months and it was the first time that both elevators were out for one hour. There is always one elevator working if power goes out (powered by generator) and 90% of the time both are working. Since the beginning it was hard to deal with your stay from you telling us to make sure it wasn’t double booked (several times) to demanding refunds and late check out. We were always complaisant even when the issue was not even with the apartment.
