Great apartment

The apartment lived up to all expectations. It was spacious, well equipped, quiet and in a great neighbourhood. Easy walking distance to metro.

MICE!

Mice! My wife and I stayed in September 2019 for 11 nights and saw mice running across the dining / living room area 5 nights in a row (I even sent the host a video of one of the mice running across the floor on the 3rd night). I contacted the host to ask for an exterminator to be sent after the first night seeing the mice. The host added 4 mouse traps around the apartment (in addition to the poison packets underneath the sofas & bed) and promised to contact the building management to see what action could be taken for the whole building but, unfortunately, nothing further. The mice appeared to stop visiting once I discovered where they were entering and found a way to block off. Aside from the mice the location was great, the apartment is authentically charming & well decorated, the kitchen / bathroom are new, and the neighbors very friendly. If not for the mice we would happily stay again and recommend to others. Because of the mice... We would not stay again and do not recommend others to stay.

Bonjour Matthew, Thanks for your review, we are deeply sorry that you had to experience such an issue as this one. We have added the mouse traps as soon as we heard about the problem and we have indeed contacted the building management company in the same time. Once we received their agreement to operate an extermination, we have scheduled it and the problem has been solved immediately after as they were coming from a common part of the building. Unfortunately these actions took time and your stay was already over, we are extremely sorry that you had to suffer from this. Beside this mice situation, we are really delighted to hear that you liked the apartment and its location, it is indeed a wonderful place full of charms and extremely quiet due to this very particular location. The owner has been living in this apartment for more than 8 years now and she is spending more than 8 months there yearly and she never had to face with such a situation, fortunately for her. Once again all our apologies for the inconvenience, we hope to be able to welcome you in one of our other apartments for your next stay in Paris, that would be the opportunity for us to compensate and make you have a better stay! A Great Neighborhood to Explore

This staff has a real can-do attitude and is helpful and service oriented. My next stay in Paris will definitely be booked through them and I will highly recommend them to friends.

Beautiful stay

The pictures on the website are a true representation of the apartment. For a one-bedroom, the home is spacious, uncluttered, and full of light as it was originally a painter's studio with a wall of high windows. It is completely equipped for long-term stays - oven, stove, dishwasher, microwave, washer & (separate) dryer, comfortable bed etc. One small suggestion would be to have an extra set of bedsheets. A short walk to Place de la Bastille, the Seine, the Marais, grocery stores and the all-important boulangeries, cafés and restaurants, street markets made this location absolutely perfect for exploring just the 10th-11th-12th arrondissements or going beyond to all the other Paris sights due to the convenience of nearby metro stations & bus stops. During our almost 7-week stay, there was one week of record-breaking heat at the end of June. Fans helped keep us comfortable but most of the time, there would be a nice breeze going through the long courtyard so with windows open, it became bearable. Lastly, the staff at GlamaParis was very helpful and responsive to the few questions and needs (setting up WiFi and TV) that we had. We especially thank Kelly for her kindness and smile!

The Bastille is one of the most politically symbolic places in Europe.
The streets are particularly strong on good yet affordables, restaurants, cafes, private galleries, bobo boutiques and grungy record stores.
The Bastille Opera is one of the best theatrical venues in Paris, but this is not the only place to discover! Cozy jazz clubs, rock bars and smaller theaters are the main assets of this area.
Bastille is also essentially surrounded by the Marais district which a "Must-do" in Paris.
Very central and Parisian, this property will be a home base for exploring the capital and living life as a real Parisian far from the touristic neighbouroods & tourist trap restaurants.
