The apartment was well appointed, spacious and ideally located to city amenities and historic sites. The address is a peaceful area and ideal for relaxing and re-charging. The comprehensive guidelines, recommendations and suggestions were extremely helpful, particularly for the likes of us as first time visitors to Paphos.

Excellent apartment

Thoroughly enjoyed our stay at Othello gardens. The apartment is lovely and was spotlessly tidy. The pool was great and very peaceful. I can highly recommend it over a hotel any day.

Othello gardens

Fabulous property, has everything you would have at home, plus a rooftop lounge and a swimming pool. Ideal location for access to old town, harbour, and Coral bay. Much better than a hotel.

A really great apartment in good location. The apartment is spotless & spacious with 2 balconies and roof terrace. The kitchen was well equipped with everything needed and more. We highly recommend and hope to return again soon.

Great stay in a lovely apartment

The property was spotlessly clean spacious and well equipped the roof terrace was great and we took full advantage of it. It is a bus ride to the harbour but the old town is an easy walk away. The owner Martin was very helpful and friendly both before our arrival and during our stay.

Refreshingly wonderful.

The appartment was exccdingly clean and comfortable, the added bonus was the weather, there was plenty of sunshine and the heat was bearable. The location itself, Cyprus is second to none. The people and the food were first class as expected.

A really great property like home from home. Had everything we needed and more for our 3 week stay. A great location and its so peaceful, we had the pool to ourselves the entire stay, the roof terrace is a great bonus. Martin, the host was super responsive throughout our stay. Fabulous!

Great apartment in a great location. Local to all amenities and areas of interest. Good size apartment with balconies and a great roof top terrace. Martin was a great host and even let us have a late check out as we had a late flight. Would highly recommend.

Wonderful apartment

The apartment is spotless, and has all you need for your stay, we stayed for 11 nights and could quite happily stayed for longer. The apartment is in a great location not far from the harbour, shops, restaurants and the kings mall all in walking distance. We hired a car for a few day but we enjoyed exploring on foot too, would definitely return to this apartment.

Super hospitality

Lovely apartment. But made all the better for the fact you know it’s a home and are welcomed in as such. Martins excellent guide to the apartment and Paphos meant all ran smoothly and we have fabulous local recommendations to try. All proved to be as good as advertised. Would stay again.

Like to thank Martin for his lovely apartment. Lovely quiet area, everything you require in the apartment it was like home from home only 5 to 10 minute stroll to restaurants and bars also 10 minute walk to the old town with its lovely restaurants. Highly recommend Martin apartment

Beautiful apartment

An excellent clean and modern apartment with fantastic appliances in the kitchen and a great TV system. The balconies are great with one for the sun and one to cool down on. It is a very quiet complex so it's great sleeping with the windows open with the fly screens on . We would highly recommend this apartment and would definitely use it again.

As it's our own holiday home where we spend a good couple of months a year, you are right about the appliances etc, they were bought for us - and for others to enjoy! Quality flyscreens are imperative to enjoy fresh air whenever you can in preference to air conditioning, though clearly there are times when the latter is essential too. The ceiling fans are superb and circulate fresh air really well when using the flyscreens. Thanks again Martin

Great location

This was our second time at this apartment, it was very clean and well equipped. This small complex is near to the Tomb of the Kings road with many different restaurants to cater for most tastes but far enough away that the noise didn’t disturb us. We reported a couple of broken things to Martin and hopefully his maintenance people can repair soon - we will certainly look at booking again next year.

Winter break

We found the apartment to be clean, spacious and comfortable for a 3/4 week stay in February. Located within a short walking distance to a Lidl supermarket, the shopping mall and plenty of restaurants. The weather during the first half of our stay was very cold and wet, but the apartment had sufficient heating and plenty of books and dvds to keep us amused. Once the sun came out the roof terrace was a plus with the lovely Venus beach a short walk away. Martin was easily reachable and provided plenty of information about the apartment and local area, thank you very much. We would definitely book again if planning a trip to the area.

home from home

This apartment was so well situated for our needs,walking distance to Lidl-15mins. Restaurants so much choice -again all within walking distance. The roof terrace was our my reason for choosing this apartment and did not disappoint. Very quite complex with nice neighbours. Fly screens on all windows and doors means a cool breeze flowing all day and night. No safety worries. For people who like to do as they please, a must stay apartment.

Thank you Eveline and we look forward to welcoming you back. Yes, I never understand why people don't put flyscreens on their windows, they are cheap enough even for quality ones. Same thing for fitting fan ceiling lights in every room, as you can have natural air then, not just canned. Worth saying that of course we do have ac units throughout, but at certain times the other options are so much nicer. Thanks to the gate at the foot of the stairs, you can even leave the front door open at night!

Excellent position

Good quiet location between port and old town.2 large bedrooms with comfortable beds.Parking.Very quick replies to our questions to owner, and lots of info. from him.Near sea and Roman mosaics etc ( free entry if you are OAP.) Near to bus stops to take you all over Cyprus.Well equipped,apart from few teaspoons,clean and not far from Lidl and an excellent fish restaurant.If you are taking a taxi to and from airport Alfa Taxi Service, alfataxicy@gmail.com is very good and cheaper than picking one up as you arrive.

Lovely apartment

Overall very nice. A few suggestions:- We arrived in the early hours of the morning & it would have been a lovely touch to have a bottle of water available in the fridge. One of the sun loungers on the roof terrace is completely unusable & needs to be replaced as soon as possible. The photos on the web pages of the furniture on the roof terrace are outdated & do not reflect current items. The spiral staircase is a little tricky to negotiate & needs a degree of balance & dexterity to get up & down as it is very tight & steep.

Hi April and thank you so much for your feedback I agree about the water, unfortunately we have to use a local company to manage for us as we are not out there unless on holiday. They are fantastic at cleaning, but don't offer an option to have just a bottle of water in the apartment. I shall perhaps have the discussion with them again when out in a couple of weeks. They do manage numerous properties and have a universal approach, so providing water just for mine is a logistical issue and I do understand that. I shall update the photos to reflect the new furniture we purchased when the original items got a little worn. Terribly sorry about the sun lounger, there are always 2 there and when this one broke recently, the cleaners were supposed to swap it over with a spare I keep for that purpose. Had I known that hadn't been done, I would have told you where the replacement was - my sincere apologies. Yours is the first negative comment I've had in all the years we've had the place about the spiral staircase. When I purchased the apartment, I had the existing (very narrow and tight) staircase replaced with a custom made one which is considerably wider and less steep (which I also did for the apartment next door when I purchased that more recently). All the other apartments on the complex have the original staircases, so mine are really quite the upgrade and we have been very pleased with them. Pleasant stay

Pluses. Quiet location, only 500m walk to sea, roof terrace (steep steers), close to Lidl (especially we liked fresh fish, to cook in oven), close to town (nice evening walk up to Agora Tavern to have meze). It was chilly during evenings, so radiators and heaters were helpful as the water pipe (pressure was good). Some small notes. It would be nice to have at least one pan what is not totally scratched or warped. It was the first time in our renting history that next day we had to go shopping for toilet paper, garbage bags, kitchen paper, soap (one soap between 3 sinks), dish washing liquid, washing detergent. If you stay for 1-2 weeks, it doesn't make any sense, because we had to buy big bottles or quantities, but we used a small amount of such stuff. Anyway, I hope at least next guests can use what we left.

Thanks for your comments Onne. Indeed, evenings in December are cool, but it's so nice to still be able to be outside with just a sweater or jacket, and the days can still be amazing. I still swim in the sea at that time. We do keep spare garbage bags under the sink in the kitchen and extra toilet rolls are in the cupboard under the sink in the bathroom. I wish you had asked me as I was out there next door for the first few days of your stay and could have pointed you in the right direction and I did ask you a few times if all was well and if there was anything you needed. I would have been more than happy to help with anything and I always am. As there were just the 2 of you, the second bathroom which is en suite for the second bedroom might not have had soap put in it, though of course the main one did as you said. Hopefully you got everything you needed from Lidl which is just around the corner and sincere apologies for anything you had to buy for yourselves. I do hope this wasn't too much trouble. Thanks again for your visit and your helpful comments.

Nice and clean, everything you need for a self catering holiday .Air con in living room and bedrooms which makes a difference in July certainly. Big fridge/ freezer for keeping your drinks and any food chilled.Rooftop terrace is brilliant, does get hot up there but there was usually a little breeze so wasn’t too bad.Pool is lovely, there are 2 sun beds by the pool with the apartment number on so exclusive for the apartment.In the 10 days we were there only seen people in pool on 2 occasions There is a Lidl 15 minute walk but found a shop about 5 or 6 minutes away if you turn left at the road end and then left at the junction for necessities like juice, bread, milk also sell alcohol and tobacco.All in all a lovely base to use for your Cyprus experience, will definitely return

Lovely apartment comfortable and clean,very good location, sun balcony and roof terrace absolutely stunning, Martin was next door at our time,couldn't do enough for us ,very nice and pleasant area,will very much look forward to our booking with Martin, excellent apartment,

Paphos is a delightful holiday location. Wonderful climate with guaranteed sun.
I've been visiting for many years and, whilst I have been all round the island, Paphos is by far my favourite part.
Brits will love the area as everyone speaks english, they use the same electric plugs as us and even drive on the same side of the road!
I have always preferred the Tombs of the Kings area and this is particularly where I wanted to buy an appartment. Whilst it is walking distance from the harbour and the livelier tourist area, it is sufficiently removed from it to be quiet. There are numerous bars and restaurants a few hundred yards from the property so you don't have to go down to the tourist area to eat either.
Incredibly, the old town is also only a 10 to 15 minute walk in the other direction! I love to go up there for coffee in the mornings and look down over the sea below. There are many more restaurants here again and a lively market for fresh fruit, vegetables, olive oil and wine! The old town itself is a delightful labyrinth of narrow streets and small shops and tremendous fun to explore.
We wanted 2 bathrooms to go with the bedrooms as it is just more comfortable for everyone. This is actually quite rare amongst holiday appartments in paphos. We have installed a pressurised water system as well, so you get good shower pressure in both! As well as the obvious solar heating we have an immersion heater which helps if out in the winter and it is one of those very rare cloudy days.
Naturally the appartment has air conditioning with separate controls in each of the bedrooms and the living room.

The complex is just 10 properties sharing a nice sized communal pool with loungers. There are only 2 storeys and we are on the first (top) floor with our roof terrace, rather than someone else's appartment, above us.
The roof terrace is the full size of the appartment itself and kitted out with lovely furniture. It is accessed by an extra wide spiral staircase we had installed from right outside the front door, which is at the top of it's own private set of steps. There are great views from up here including the sea and of course due to the size of the terrace you can be in the sun wherever it is in the sky.
Internet is included free of charge.
There are books and dvds in the appartment, please help yourself and feel free to add to our collection.
As mentioned above there is a pushbike available and 2 sets of golf clubs so you don't need to travel with these either.
