Dette fuldt møblerede hus har en smuk udsigt over bjergene i Escazu og har udsigt over San Jose-dalen. Der er verandaer på tre sider, hvor du kan sidde og nyde de velplejede haver fyldt med tropiske planter, sommerfugle og fugle. Nyrenoveret med opdaterede badeværelser og køkken. Nyt andet sal med studie- og tv-stue med fantastisk udsigt over bjergene. Meget fredeligt, sikkert hjem 20 minutter fra lufthavnen og kun 15 minutter fra downtown San Jose. Mange restauranter og købmandsforretninger ligger lige ned ad bakken. Hop på en bus uden for ejendommen, og du vil være der i 5 minutter eller mindre. Taxier er også tilgængelige.

Huset har en elektrisk port, så det er meget sikkert. Du kan parkere din udlejningsbil inde i ejendommen uden bekymringer. Wifi er også tilgængelig.

Bliv her, mens du nyder de mange smukke naturressourcer, Costa Rica tilbyder. Tag dagsture herfra for at se vulkanerne, gå rafting, gå i skyskoven, besøg kaffeplantager, besøg den antikke og smukke kolonistad Orosi, blandt mange andre vidunderlige aktiviteter. Den nærmeste strand er kun en og en halv time væk. Hvis du er heldig, vil du se traditionelt malet oxcarts, der stadig bruges til at trække træ eller mælk. Eller gå op ad gaden, forbi den lille koloniale kirke og besøg en "trapiche" (sukkermølle), hvor sukkerrør stadig bliver behandlet til sukker på traditionel måde. Huset får sit navn fra stokkeblomsten.

Escazu tilbyder en række fremragende restauranter, indkøbscentre, banker og supermarkeder. Dette er et glimrende sted at gøre din ferie til den mest behagelige endnu!

Comfortable home away from home

We loved our stay at Casa Veroliz. We stayed for over a month and welcomed our new baby into the world while staying there. It has a great protected garden where our son could run around and play and a well stocked kitchen and all the amenities of home. You can really tell that the owners also spend time here and have made it comfy and well equipped. We’ll be back soon!

Superb!!

Private. Beautiful yards, decks, spectacular view. Spacious, clean, comfortable. Close to grocery, casual and nicer dining, easy drive to San Juan, rain forests, chocolate tasting, beaches. Also perfect for lounging at home.

Great place, great views and an ideal getaway

We really enjoyed our stay at Casita El Verolis. Overall it was a nice experience. The house is beautiful and nicely laid out with plenty of room for our family of 5. A minor issue was the level of noise from the street and the early morning rooster that we are not used to. Otherwise a great experience overall. The owner was extremely responsive and helpful with our questions and the property manager was also very helpful. Thanks..

Beautiful and Peaceful

Thank you so much for letting me stay at your beautiful home. It was much more tha I expected. I travelled for business, and after a long and hectic day, this was the perfect retreat. The house is tastefully decorated and very cozy. It has an great classical music library and the kitchen is well equipped. In the mornings, the birds would sing and that was the alarm, just perfect! There were beautiful butterflies around the house, in the garden, to make the stay complete. I hope to come back soon, many more times.

Beautiful, newly-renovated, Casita in a secure location

We spent a relaxing week in this spacious, well-stocked Casita. The tropical flowers in the yard were in full bloom, and the metal security gate eliminated any safety concerns. The kitchen was well-equipped, and it even had a dishwasher, which is a big plus in my book! The caretakers, who live right next door, were very helpful, and let us use their Wi-fi connection when our's stopped working for a short time. Grace, the owner, was very responsive to promptly respond to any inquiries prior to our stay. The traffic noise is the only reason I could not give this property five stars,but I would highly recommend this as a place to stay in Costa Rica.

The downside is that the traffic noise can occasionally be loud as buses make their way up and down. Even so, we are happy that you felt safe as that is key to a relaxing vacation. Hidden Treasure

Wonderful home full of charm, immaculately clean and all the extras you could want to be comfortable. Bed in master was very comfortable for us as we like a firm mattress. Kitchen was extremely well equipped if you want to cook. We were out and about a lot, but this home was so comfortable to come home to and have a glass of wine on the upstairs balcony. Great restaurant just down the road. Pictures do not do this home justice. Very safe behind a large solid automatic gate. Then you have plenty of room for your car. We loved it and hope to visit again. There were dogs next door that barked especially in the early mornings. We get up early and this didn’t bother us. We never heard a rooster as some guests claim to have done. All in all an A+ Thank you Grace for sharing your lovely home. Debbie

Beautiful house and location!

My family had a great stay at Casita El Veroliz! The owner and manager are very friendly and helpful, the house was very clean, comfortable and extremely well stocked. We really look forward to coming back for a longer visit next month.

Amazing

Absolutely loved the house, recently remodeled, true Costa Rican feeling, the scenery was amazing and waking up with the birds and the sunrise everyday was so peaceful. Our daughters not only felt safe but comfortable and they loved watching all the butterflies and the bird that lives in the front left garden patch and the ants carrying their leaves, and running around the house. Nothing but greatness. Thank you so much for the allowing us to stay in your home... it really felt like a home away from home, we hope to be able to make this our regular vacation spot as we go at least once a year to visit our family.

Lovely stay in San Jose

Gated and well kept, this home was a perfect little place to stay. Close to San Jose, but far enough away to feel like you are not in the city. We are a family of 5 and the house was cozy enough to feel at home but the upstairs tv area gave the kids a chance to unwind on their own. There is no AC, but you don't need it up in the hills. The early mornings and the evening are cool. Opening up a window just a bit is all you need to have a great nights sleep. The kitchen is well appointed. Finding the place was easy, we got great directions from the owner and she was always very responsive all the time. This house is on a main street in Escazu so you won't have complete quietness at all times but it's not so bad that you can't have a good nights sleep. Convenient stores and restaurants are very close by and the heart of Escazu is only a couple of minutes away. Why would you stay at a hotel when you can have an entire house and get the whole experience of a home in San Jose?

Clean and well cared for

This property is a little haven for those who want to get away from it all. The immaculate yards and serenity (except for the dogs barking) will attract you here. It is super- comfortable and large. It is located on an uphill, making any walk a bit treacherous. It is not for those who want to be close to the comforts of the city, which include modern supermarkets, hotels, fine dining choice of tourist resources. We recommend renting a car if you dare; or use UBER; but note that the house has no street name or number making pick-ups a bit difficult at first. Cynthia, the manager, is heaven-sent and makes herself available for any dilemma small or large! Enjoy la' Pura Vida".

Thanks so much for your lovely review. I am so glad you found it super-comfortable. And you are right about no street name! That's part of the Pura Vida experience in Costa Rica. We have very few signs so landmarks are used for addresses. So it's a challenge but something to laugh about. Hope to see you back again!

This house is beautiful! It is right in the heart of Escazu and on the outskirts of San Jose.

This House is very beautiful and secure. It is right in the Heart of Escazu and just on the outskirts of San Jose. So if your looking for a place that is in town I would highly recommend staying here. The House was well equipped and very comfortable. The Owner are excellent as is the property managers who live next door.

Beautiful Vacation Home Stay

If you want to get away but not too far away from San Jose, this is the place. This house has everything you need and was well above what I expected. Because of my late arrival, the owner's relative met us at the house around midnight and brought us enough breakfast items that lasted a few days. Great place and very accommodating owner.

Beautiful , beautiful , beautiful house...

Next year I am planning already to stay 10 nights and will be my place to stay from now on... This house is perfect for families of 5... Everything was build custom made.. We love ... Great bedroom, great bathroom and the kitchen has everything you need for the perfect dinner.... The house are just minutes away from San Jose but in escazu you can find everything ... Great local food and international...nice shopping centers... The house is very secure... Nice remote control gate... Cinthia the manager if you read this comment ... Thanks a lot for everything ... I recommend this house to everybody...

Thanksgiving at Casita El Verolis

Nice and private. Lots of flowering trees and plants on the property, and we used the Webber grill to barbecue twice. Grace has provided many of the small things like spices, olive oil, paper towels, etc that you often don't find in rental houses. That was a nice convenience. I would definitely recommend renting a car if you plan on staying here; it's not really within walking distance to anything. But our rental car was reasonable (Alamo), and the driving is no worse than downtown Chicago. We went to the central market, the volcano and canopy bridge tour, the Waterfall park and the Britt Coffee tour. The car for a week, plus insurance plus a GPS (don't even think of trying it without one) was under $400 and well worth it. One word of caution: If you use your GPS to insert coordinates from an attraction's web site (latitude and longitude), plug those coordinates into Google Maps first to verify they are right. Two places we visited had bad coordinates on their sites (and they admitted it!).

Relaxing Vacation

I vacationed for almost 3 weeks in this home in 8/2008 and just realized I did not review as I stumbled on it on my bookmarks. Costa Rica is a beautiful country and the home had the most relaxing ambiance. The description was accurate and there is one more smaller room not pictured. Escazu is a very nice city in CR and the local supermarket/plaza/bank is excellent and in walking distance. The property was very clean and well maintained and the caretaker is a very nice man, brought us fresh arugula and other greens as well as fresh eggs. The owner was very clear with all instructions and available as well as the caretaker. I would recommend this property to family and friends. It brings back such fond memories, There was a restaurant up the hill with a spectacular view and a show during dinner hours.

Our stay at Casita El Verolis January and February 2010

Property description was generally accurate and location was convenient. Directions to the property could be a little more explicit, especially about the exit from the Interamericana, with highway numbers, as Costa Rica now has a few road signs. Pictures give a good idea of the living space, which is spacious and comfortable, and nicely decorated. The Central Valley view is in part obstructed by the neighboring (family-owned) house, and only available from part of the side terrace (pictured). The mountain views are great. There is noise during the morning and evening on workdays from the ubiquitous motorcycles one finds in Costa Rica, as well as from roosters in the early morning and dogs barkling a lot throughout the night. We found that we didn't notice much of the noise after the first week, once we got used to it. This is a problem in most of the San Jose area, so if you are wanting to spend a single quiet week or are overly sensitive to noise, we would suggest a more rural area. The house is well equipped, including the kitchen, has cable internet and wireless from the house next door, DVDs of some adult-oriented (generally OK for kids though maybe not interesting to them) and eclectic movies which we enjoyed very much. Laundry facilities are good, with an indoor drying lines area for rainy days. A monitored alarm system with remote control secures the house as well as the large walled and gated yard and parking area. There is a backup water system for the occasional one or two hour outages ( 3 times during our 6 week stay ). The property's caretaker, Martin, is very attentive, and brought us fresh eggs and salad greens from the chickens and garden he maintains on the property. He also brought firewood for the fireplace on a couple of chilly nights. Martin has speaks very little English so brush up on your Spanish and treat him with the respect he deserves, and he'll do his very best for you. Two small stores nearby have fruit, groceries and basic needs. The El Gaitero restaurant up the hill a 10 to 15 minute walk was great - Spanish (Basque regional) cuisine and great service from the owners. Also of note is the "Sakar" hairstyling and esthetics studio of Shirley Maritza Sequeira about 1/2 block down the street directly across from the front gate - $10 manicure, $12 pedicure, massage, unisex haircuts and styling. Communication with the owner before, during, and after was very clear and timely. We recommend this property as a comfortable base.

I grew up in Costa Rica and most of my family lives in the Escazu area. My husband and I are both professors in California and we enjoy the beauty and peacefulness of our house in Costa Rica to read, write, and visit with friends. We travel down to Costa Rica about 3 times a year. We like it to be comfortable and hospitable to all those who enter our house.

The location was a principal reason that I bought this property. It is in Escazu which has so many amenities, but it is far enough up the hill to feel more country-like and walking distance to the colonial church of San Antonio. It is next door to the house of my brother and my sister-in-law can watch over the property and see that it remains in excellent condition.

Derfor er dette overnatningssted unikt

The gardens are beautiful with a variety of tropical flowers, brilliant butterflies, and even some fruit trees: bananas, orange/lemon, and avocado. The views of the mountain and the cool weather make it a perfect place to relax.
