A whirlwind vacation!

Rating Details: The property manager was very helpful. The vacation rental was clean. I was happy with the location. I was satisfied with the condition of the vacation rental. Overall, I recommend this vacation rental. Reviewer Comments: Our week long vacation started out great for the first two hours! After that, we spent the next two days trying to settle in and actually enjoy our vacation. Without getting into details, we had to be moved from the ocean front house we rented to this condo. This was not due to any issues with Cannon & Gruber. They were wonderful when we discovered a MAJOR problem at the house after being there just two hours. We were immediately moved to this condo and received a refund for two nights of our stay. This condo was spacious with a nice walking path to the beach. The only complaint would be the mattresses on the beds! They were horribly uncomfortable.

Great location, wonderful staff

Lots of things to do at the location (pool, tennis, paddleboard), easy access to the beach. Wonderful staff at the realtor who went out of their way to make your stay worry free.

Not the best location

Initial conversation was good with the management company. The location is disappointing, with no beach access and you have to drive to the few spots for parking with public beach access. Worst thing was however - no hot water and no reaction from the management company for our whole stay.

Rating Details: The property manager was very helpful. The vacation rental was very dirty. I was very happy with the location. I was somewhat dissatisfied with the condition of the vacation rental. Great location but condo needs an "update"

We had a great time given the location of this condo which is close to the beach, the sound, tennis courts and a pool. However we were unhappy with a master bedroom that smelled bad (old plastic curtains perhaps?), porch furniture that was rickety and needed cleaning and a clogged garbage disposal that took 2 days to fix.

Very Nice Property!

The only thing that wasn't helpful was the Wi-Fi at our specific property didn't seem to work but we are a technically inclined bunch so it's wasn't a problem. Could be an issue for families though.

Good accommodations for the price

Need to update mattresses and carpet.

Great location with 3 bathrooms, outdated and noisy

We had a small group get together to go to the beach for spring break. My sister, best friend, and 3 kids. Overall we had all we needed. We enjoyed our stay and were close to the beach and spent quite a bit of time at the pool too. There was plenty of room at the condo. I will say it wasn’t very clean. It wasn’t dirty but there was a dead bug under the bed which I saw Immediately upon arrival because I was using the plug behind the bed, there was a Frito on the floor right by the couch right when we got there, and I saw a used qtip and used paper towel behind the dresser and my comforter had something white on it and it had obviously not been washed and that was just in my room. I really liked that there were 3 bathrooms, one for each room. It was so easy to just walk across the street to the pool or the other direction to the beach. I wish the cost had been more transparent, money is tight so we picked this rental due to its affordability, but after booking noticed it ended up being almost double the listed price after cleaning, vrbo fee, taxes, and owner fees. They also take a deposit upfront and they they said it will be a couple of weeks before that is reimbursed. One of the towel racks was just placed on the wall and kept falling off, but I honestly didn’t care about that. We made good memories and had a nice time staying here. The best part was the location, plenty of bathrooms which is nice when you have several people staying, and it was cozy, outdated but still cozy. And close to the aquarium which was a lot of fun! The worst was there were children staying above us and they woke up early and you could hear them running up and down the stairs pretty early (around 7 am) and the stairs are just on the other side of the window in 2 of the rooms. They pressure washed the pool the first day we were there which was so noisy and took several hours and the next day they did lawn care which was noisy and took several hours so 2 of the 3 full days we were there weren’t ideal. I understand those things need to be done but would have appreciated it if they were spaced out more. There is only 1 tv and 1 fan, and the washer and dryer were on the other side of the bedroom wall I was staying in and they were quite noisy.

Great Location

The location was wonderful, a short walk to the beach. We all enjoyed time at the pool and easy access for unloading and loading the boat. The actual condo wasn't as clean as I would have liked it to be.

Property review

Overall, I do not recommend this vacation rental. Reviewer Comments: Size of place fit our needs. Didn't realize had to go up 27 st steps - NO elevator!!! Hard on 74 and 76 year olds! Pool nice. No view to speak of. Main complaint was that the carpet, the throw rugs, the non-slip mats in tubs - were badly in need of cleaning. Carpet was very dirty and we had a crawling baby.

OK but not great

Overall, I do not recommend this vacation rental. Reviewer Comments: The place had a mildew/mould problem. Two of us had frequent headaches and one of us had nasal stuffiness. The furniture was in good shape; the rooms were a good size. The location was good. We had access to the beach and sound. The kitchen could have been better equipted.The dryer took forever to dry our clothes.

Beacon's Reach - Sound side worthy

I was more than satisfied with the condition of the vacation rental. Overall, I recommend this vacation rental. Reviewer Comments: Only used mster 3 bed.unit,bed was way too hard. Bed covers were acceptable. Unit in good shape for age but no view, yet very close to marina & pool. Unit needs new carpet but I've seen worse. Kitchen had essentials. Unit was furnished well. Rental packet had two versions of WiFi access. Didn't find the working one until we returned home. Plenty of seating for 6 in living area. 3 baths great for families. Beautifully landscaped neighborhood for great walks. Couldn't find ocean access with any designated parking for Soundside residents unless you go to public parking. There appeared to be small paths available but its a long haul if you plan to carry beach accessories and no common area that was obvious. No water in unit at arrival though rental company quickly returned call on holiday weekend. Very quiet in November. Considering other units in B.Reach for summer with family. Great water views in development. HO Assoc.has kept neighborhood impeccable. As a NC resident and have vacationed in the area since 60's with my parents I was surprised at this gem of an area. Last year rented ocean view house at higher rate from EIR that had been neglected for years and bedding hadn't been washed in years. This was a better experience at Westport and could enjoy retiring here one day. The few residents we encountered were friendly. Love ocean views but the sound side had more amenities.

Great place to stay

Overall, I recommend this vacation rental. Reviewer Comments: We had a wonderful stay, and enjoyed the location (easy walk to the beach). The property is beautiful and clean and the property manager was very responsive to our needs (arriving after hours, questions about the area and upcoming hurricane) We enjoyed the laid back, family atmosphere. Our only complaint, and it will be minor to most who are driving, is that there are no bath towels. We ended up having to purchase more towels in addition to the beach towels we brought.
