We had the pleasure of staying here for 4 days in June, and loved it. Agree with the other reviews about the quiet of the street, the serene beach, and the close-to-everything but still-far-away access. We came to town for mountain biking and the trails are accessible from here, with a crushed gravel and then paved bike path connector just up the street, which ties in to the south trail system. Or, the trails are also a short car ride that passes a market, McDonalds, etc. The house itself is an original 1960's vacation cabin, and it comes with all the charms and quirks of the time. Having grown up going to a cabin similar to this, I was taken with the simple, everything-you-need-and-nothing-you-don't feeling of the place. Everything about it invites you to sit back and relax. The sauna attached to the garage and steps from the house was a really nice bonus. The only thing I would say could be improved would be the comfort of the mattresses; perhaps was due for a replacement. That said, everything else was so perfect that we would love to come back next summer if we come to Marquette!
