Our stay was exactly what we wanted. It was amazingly clean, romantic and private. My Gf and I stayed for 10 days over Xmas and New Years 2025. Marco met us and helped us get set up and we were thrilled at what we rented. It is a beautiful space above the main house with a private pool, half outdoor kitchen, lovely one bedroom, closet and large bathroom. We had plans to only really have breakfast at home and have dinners out every night. (It's a vacation!) If you want to travel with your person, don't mind a few stairs, this is a fantastic place to stay. The outdoor thatched deck provides great shade, a place to see the activities of the neighborhood below, a beautiful lookout to sunsets and best of all, a place to lounge, read, play cards and listen to music in complete privacy.We loved it!!!

Beautiful holiday home

It was just like other reviewers stated the pictures on VRBO do not even do it justice. It was a short walk to the beach and all other amenities. The only thing that would have been nice would have been to have another set of keys. But thanks so much for sharing such a beautiful place with us!

Beautiful, peaceful stay

This place us perfect for a romantic, private getaway for two. The bed is bigger than it looks in tge photos. Well equipped kitchen, close to the grocery store, the beach and great restaurants. We'll be back!

this is a funky little spot, great outdoor area. If you book, don't forget the 3 story flight of stairs. I mention cause I'm old.

The apartment was quite well apportioned but could use another set of towels. Appliances etc were all good. You need to understand your in a outdoor space and pigeons and doves like the pool A pool skimmer on hand would have helped. Quite noisy because it’s close to the 200 and lots of barking dogs Overall we would recommend

Great location and private

The property is in a great location! Minutes to the beach, with a large grocery store one block away. Bank and gym around the corner with tons of great places to eat. (Love “The Backyard”). Lovely roof top wading pool and outside space. The steps to the unit were challenging at first, but we adapted quickly but not for anyone with disabilities or bad knees. The privacy and location is excellent, but the pool hadn’t been cleaned. It’s a little worn and could do with some TLC. Screens are torn and with an allergy to stings we had to be careful. There were a couple Turtle Doves nestled in the palapa which dropped on us until we had to encourage them to leave. Cleaning service was nonexistent until 3 days before we left, but whatever. It’s not 5 star luxury but not being in a condo made it all worthwhile. I recommend it highly.

Retreat in Bucerias

We have been visiting Bucerias for the past 18 years and have seen a great deal of change…not all good. Bucerias has gone from a sleepy Mexican village to rampant seemingly uncontrolled high rise growth. The sun and warmth are still here and the beautiful beach and outposts of Mexican culture, but much of the charm has disappeared. This is not true for this lovely apartment. It has the charm and open air access to the sky that we have come to love and seek here in Bucerias. It is located in a neighborhood where the roads are still rocks and the curbs are impossibly high and you have to pay attention to walk but for us this is not negative. This apartment has tiled domes, a wonderful private pool that we shared with the birds, a peek-a-boo view a comfortable bedroom and an attentive host…what we love about the remnant of funky Mexican charm. There are many big sterile six story cement buildings coming up but a diminishing number of these treasures.

The funky loft was a fabulous space for my husband and I. The outdoor palapa and private plunge pool made for great afternoon times.

Hi. We requested for someone to clean up all the dove poop on our deck. A couple of times it hit us while we were having dinner on the deck. Other than that, it was a nice location close to lots of restaurants and the beach. Just be conscious there’s three stories of a circular staircase that might not be good for some.

Lovely spot

Marcus was a great host. Though we did not meet him in person, he was extremely responsive and helpful through messenger. His cleaning woman, Dora, was extremely thorough and kind as well. The photos of this property honestly do not do it justice. It’s beautiful, and the property is beautiful too. It was a perfect place to unwind and relax in peace. There’s cute ambiance lighting all over, high vaulted ceilings and the open-air kitchen/pool area was perfect and private. There is a grocery store just two blocks down the road and the beach just a short walk straight down the other crossroad, maybe five blocks. The kitchen is stocked with everything you need to prepare your own meals as well. We would 100% stay here again. Thank you, Marcus!

Paraiso!!!

We loved our stay at the property. We are moving to Bucerias at the end of June, and wanted to take a week before our move to explore the Golden Zone and enjoy all that it has to offer. In particular, we loved the open air concept and the almost constant breeze. We did not have to turn our air conditioning on once. The 37 stairs to our penthouse unit were a real challenge with luggage. There is no elevator. However, we got used to it otherwise and it was good exercise for wearing off some of the delicious meals we had a local restaurants. The large shower was nice, but there needs to be some instructions on how to enjoy a shower with constant water flow and a desired temperature. The two outside outside taps were difficult to use, i.e. give the constant warm water flow. In addition, there is a camera in the kitchen that is apparently not monitored and used primarily for secured during unoccupied periods, but it was a little disconcerting…guests should be advised about its present and use beforehand. Otherwise, we loved our stay and would come again were it not for the fact we are moving to Bucerias permanently.

Nice Spot

We enjoyed our stay, there's some traffic noise due to the proximity to the highway, but just a few blocks from the beach. Nice and close to the big grocery store and restaurants. The place could use some curtains to block out the light in the bedroom and a couple of the windows don't close, but overall a very clean place. Nice having our own pool. The owner, Marco was very good at communicating quickly to our inquiries. The 38 stairs in a quite narrow spiral staircase up to the suite is a workout, would be nice if there was a handrail.

Fabulous find

A quaint little jewel in the heart of Bucerías. Within in walking distance to shops and restaurants. Views of mountains and ocean from your private deck and rooftop pool. Ideal for those that want a private relaxing retreat

Gorgeous and private

Our villa was beautiful and very clean and very private, even had our own private pool. Our only concern was that the place we booked was supposed to be 2 blocks from the beach and 20 hours before we arrived we were given a different address, which was 6 or 7 blocks from the beach and 1 block from the highway.
