Poipu Oceanfront - Betagende havudsigt

Poipu Makai B-1 er ejernes andet hjem i tre måneder af året. De fortsætter med at opdatere både inventar og møbler i enheden for deres egen komfort og nydelse såvel som for deres gæster. De har dekoreret hele tiden med værkerne fra lokale kunsthåndværkere. Lejlighedskomplekset ligger på en bløff med udsigt over det betagende Stillehav og er kun hundrede meter under kanten af en lang uddød vulkan, Poipu Crater (sidst aktiv for 40.000 år siden).

Gå på havsiden (makai) gennem et fuldt udstyret køkken til spisestuen Lanai. Det er et vidunderligt sted til morgenmad at se hvaler og delfiner, der laver fantastiske aqua-feats. Hvis du ser direkte ned, ser du antallet af Honu (havskildpadder) og mange forskellige tropiske fiskesorter. Denne placering er fremragende til at nippe til en aftencocktail og se en solnedgang; hver er betagende og forskellig fra enhver anden. Du vil forstå, hvorfor Poipu-området kaldes "Solrige side af paradiset" på "Haveøen".

Dette attraktive lejlighed i stueetagen indeholder to soveværelser på indersiden (mauka), der hver åbner mod en lille have i japansk stil. Det store soveværelse har en teak himmelseng, king-size seng og fuld bad. Det andet soveværelse har komfortable enkeltsenge. Et andet komplet bad er placeret på tværs af gangen til brug for alle besøgende. En skydedør åbner fra stuen / spisepladsen mod Lanai, hvor gæsterne kan sidde eller hvile sig for at læse og nyde solbadning. Når man ser sydvest langs Poipu-kysten kan gæsterne se Spouting Horn og den “forbudte ø” Ni’ihau.

4:30 am while still sleeping, we experienced terrible high-pitched humming noises when the sprinkler system ran. Also one bedroom had a noisy mini-split ac.

It’s All About the View

We enjoyed watching the whales and beautiful assortment of birds right from the lanai. The beds were very comfortable. A for that! However, the property is quite dated and there is nothing luxurious about it. The primary bedroom does have a commode and shower, but the shower stillIs TINY! The unit is very nicely appointed with beach chairs, etc. All in all, we would stay again just for the view. Also, the pool is very small - truly just for dipping - but peaceful.

Second Time, both great!

Reviewer Comments: First time two years before, this time was even better: New appliances; new ductless air conditioning (albeit, a bit noisy for about an hour after shutdown); walk-out to front lawn; improved swimming pool and grill. Improvement request: you really need to improve the sliding door lock in the second bedroom; or, at least highlight the secret to making it work. Had advance contact with Management company, always great! No problems.

Absolutely Gorgeous location

Condo is older, but very well taken care of and so pretty! Every room had a welcoming aloha spirit and basic needs were available to use. We were very respectful of the owner's goods. We washed dishes and washed most towels. Extremely grateful!

We won't stay here again

Rating Details: The property manager was adequately helpful. The vacation rental was somewhat dirty. I was somewhat unhappy with the location. I was very dissatisfied with the condition of the vacation rental. Overall, I do not recommend this vacation rental. Reviewer Comments: The decor is 70's. The unit has so much mildew and musk that I had to sleep on a mattress in the living room with the door and windows open. The parking is horrible and the outside entrance is very dark. The only good thing about this unit is the view. We stayed 10 days and will not rent a unit here again.

Nice Property - A lot of ants though

The communication and booking were easy. The property itself was nice, but could use a thorough deep cleaning. There were ants everywhere: kitchen, bathrooms, bedrooms. We couldn't leave anything on the counters without it getting attacked by ants. The floors were cleaned with a very slick cleaner, and felt very oily/ greasy. Other than those minor issues, the view was beautiful, the mattresses/ pillows were great, and the kitchen was very well stocked. My family very much enjoyed our stay.

Location, Location, Location

This property is so well located. On the water, beautiful views, beach walking in either direction in minutes, local shops, fun restaurants.... It is also fairly quiet, except for the crashing of the surf. A great place to stay if you want to explore Kauai, after you soak in the morning quiet and ocean view from the lanai.

Views don’t make up for maintenance issues

Reviewer Comments: Hot water heater was broken for 2 full days and needed to be replaced. Smoke alarm was broken and incessantly made sounds for 2 hours. Both issues were fixed but are examples that the condition of the appliances and maintenance of apartment caused our stay to be much less than optimal. View makes up for a lot of negatives but I would expect that paying 5,000$ for our stay everything would have worked and not needed maintenance to come multiple times. Late checkout request was denied, also disheartening as we had a 4pm flight out.

Amazing location and view but read the entire review

This is an amazing condo with million dollar view and location. Whales and turtles everyday to great us and we would stay again. The only issue was how dirty the place was, including dirty sheets, kitchen and dirty underwear with pad in the main bedroom. We washed the sheets grabbed cleaning supplies at Walmart and took care of iit and it was amazing after that. Management was responsive and offered to refund some but then we never heard back from them and no refund for cleaning. Even after all of that we would not hesitate to stay again and again!! This place is amazing.
